About the author
Jess is currently going through the legal process of changing her name to Talia Beckett. You can find all her newer publications under her new name and with time all of these books will be transferred over as well.
Talia was born in the quaint village of Woodbridge in the UK, has spent some of her childhood in the States and now resides near the beautiful Roman city of Bath. She lives with, her two tiny humans (one boy and one girl), her partner and her best friend.
During her still relatively short life Talia has displayed an innate curiosity for learning new things and has therefore studied many subjects, from maths and the sciences, to history and drama. Talia now works full time as a writer and mummy, incorporating many of the subjects she has an interest in within her plots and characters.
When she's not busy with work and keeping her tiny humans alive she can often be found with friends, playing with miniature characters, dice and pieces of paper covered in funny stats and notes about fictional adventures her figures have been on.

- Reviewed in the United States on January 28, 2016Interesting read. Anya and Sherdan are out to sea on a boat. They come back to shore to take back Sherdan's Country. Are there problems between Anya and Sherdan? Is Nathan killed? Will Julie get over the rape?
Of the 3 Books I liked this one the best. Kept me motivated to read to the end of the book. Can't wait to read more by this Author. She has made it to the top 10 of my favorite Authors.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 5, 2014Well written again. You are able to get closer to some characters and the storyline layed out very well. A great ending to the trilogy. The ending was perfect, you feel satisfied but also there is a little window for additional books.

- Reviewed in the United States on July 27, 2015The series concludes with a fine political/military thriller ending. Anya and Sherdan are finally working together, but how far can that go? The intrigue, lies, and backstabbing reach the reality of our political expectations for the current culture.
This is a complex and intriguing read
The superhuman stuff is fun. The battles are fairly realistic without graphic violence. The bad guy becomes more stereotypical, but believable. The twists and turns still surprise. Overall, this is a very good read.
Spiritually the slide to mainline levels continues
Spiritual reality has left to be replaced with conventional Christian expectations. However, Jess still shows some real understanding of how the body of Christ differs from the organizational church. There is some very good stuff along with avoided opportunities for spiritual warfare and regenerational truth.
The tale remains clean but edgy. The relationships approach but never really touch titillation. The emotional rawness of the second book is resolved to a large extent.
All in all this is a very good book and a solid ending to an entertaining series. Jess Mountifield has given us an excellent addition to our libraries of Christian fiction.
Jess gave me a review copy to complete the series.

- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2014I was given an advanced review copy of this book, for which I am very grateful.
Sherdan’s Country is the third book in Jess Mountifield’s trilogy around Sherdan Harper, a scientist with big ideas who follows a prophecy. In this last book Sherdan and Anya face the problem to regain control of his country, but also their personal lives still need some problem solving. Will they succeed in all this? I know, because I read the book. If you want to know, get your copy and find out.
I absolutely liked all three books. Mrs. Mountifield wrote a fascinating world with interesting characters and strong personalities, and I’m waiting for what she has in store for the reading world next!
