    This is hands down the best book from McKenna! (At least from the ones I’ve read). There is so many good things there... love, Christmas festivities and traditions, coup, scheme, amazing friends, awful families, two breakups that neither wanted, overcoming, oh my!

    It is a story about Princess Marina and Rodrigo, they were childhood friends and their parents were also best friends. But after 10 years away, Rodrigo comeback home to find everything different. Their parents hate each other due to political issues and his family is no long welcome to the palace. But his love for Marina is still there and he want to give a shot with her.

    How they “met” again is so cute and the letters he sent to her count the days they would meet again it was so romantic. And they start a relationship right after and their chemistry was off charts! That is until Rodrigo’s father provoke a coup to overthrown the King from power! Jesus all hell brake loose from now on. I’m not going to tell the story here, but know this: it was an emotional one.

    What I like the most in this book, over a lot of other things, is how both of them fight for their love and how they fight! Against all odds, rules, the whole kingdom, the press, the guards, both set of parents. Basically they only had their best friends in their favor. But Marina? She was the best! She came up with the final idea for getting their love back together and she really fought the King to make her point. It was beautiful! She was so strong and sensitive without being annoying.

    And the ending? I love so much. From their family growing up to both of them reaching their goals to their families finally addressing their issues and working things together to their new Christmas traditions! If you like these type of stories, you must read this one!
