Lucky Inheritance (Inherit Love Book 5) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 469 ratings

When Clarissa Kelly inherits an Irish castle, the only thing standing in her way is the devilishly handsome man living there.

Ian

The American girl thinks she can take my castle?

Wildheath is rightly mine. The old man promised it to me.

Then here comes this gorgeous girl who thinks she can just land on my doorstep with her windswept hair, bat those pretty green eyes at me, and I’ll just give in.

No matter how much she distracts me with those full, pouty lips, or how cute that dimple on her left cheek happens to be—she’s not taking away MY castle.

No. I’ll not let that lass outfox me, no matter how badly I want to press her against the wall and give her a proper welcome…

Clarissa

Right away I know Ian O'Brien is trouble.

With his stormy gaze, and hard, unforgiving scowl—the man is impossible.

For some reason he expects me to just hand over the keys to my birthright.

Yeah, that’s not happening.

Someone needs to tell this Irishman that
possession is nine-tenths of the law. So I’m moving into the castle with him.

But if I’m going to lay claim to what belongs to me, I’ll have to ignore the man. Pretend not to notice those broad, powerful shoulders, and that curly black hair that begs for me to run my fingers through it.

Because it’s time to show this infuriating Irishman that he’s finally met his match.

Cozy romance. The only thing lacking is depicting "the weasel" getting his "come uppence" when he learns he won't be getting his hands on the castle!

A different plot but with serious timing issues such as with wills, weddings etc... Overlooking that and not taking the direct flight from Dublin to NYC which shouldn't be more than 6 hours, not with a lay-over in Hawaii...huh? An easy-going bedtime story with likable characters. Could have used a bit more of Irish slang involved but maintained my interest as an entertaining read....

This is a complete story with NO loose strings. NOT a cliffhanger. I didn't much care for the girl in the first 1/4 or so since she blamed the boy for virtually everything even though she knew it was unfair. Overall it was pretty good without a lot of angsty stuff other than 'I don't think he/she loves me.' Action/adventure? None. romance? Yep. Sex? Yes but it's pretty tame and short.

I liked the characters. They were believable and reacted to each other w\o a bunch of dram. They had a ton of chemistry. Ian had some demons, but the author didn't dwell on them. Clarissa was a caring person who had her own stuff to work through. Fun watching them fall in love. I wish Lucy had a book!

Clarissa flies from the states to Ireland for the reading of her grandfather's will. She thinks that she is going to inherit his Castle and she has plans for it. Ian who worked for her her grandfather was told by him that he was going to inherit the Castle, so when Clarissa shows up he's irritated that she thinks she deserves anything, she hadn't seen her grandfather since she was six years old.
The grandfather played matchmaker in the will, both Clarissa and Ian would inherit the Castle only if they married each other within a certain amount of time. If they didn't fulfill the terms the castle and land would be donated to a charity.
Throughout the book there were a lot of funny antic that happen and some serious times too. But it was definitely a romcom story.

Clarissa is at the height of her career when she inherits a castle that has been in her family for hundreds of years. There is one requirement though for her to inherit. You will enjoy reading this story.

I really enjoyed this book because I love all things Irish. I love the beautiful descriptions of the countryside McKenna describes. Ian and Clarissa are so made for each other. And Weazer he can suck my big toe!! That's all I'm saying about him. If you want a feel good romance - read this book!!

Proves that honesty wins out. Glad Lucy helped them realize they loved each other. Would have liked an epilogue, like your other stories. At least they saved the castle!
