"Simply fantastic! Infamous has everything I love in a romance: witty dialogue, steamy sex, and great characters. Preston has crafted a fun and flirty book that I couldn't put down!" —Emily McKay, bestselling author of All He Ever Wanted and The Farm

Four years ago, it was pure Hollywood—the windswept beach, the whirlwind romance, the runaway marriage. Unfortunately, the ride into the sunset didn't survive the publication of the bride's tell-all book two months after she said "I Do."

Reclusive venture capitalist Morgan Riley isn't interested in fame. He prefers a quiet life in the suburbs. For his daughter's sake, he agrees to give his notorious wife another chance to be part of their family. Even though she's back at home and fulfilling all his late-night fantasies, he can't help wonder if she misses her high-profile lifestyle and famous friends.

Everyone knows Jessica Sinclair. She's that girl on the cover of all the tabloids. As a Hollywood insider, Jessica has spent her life partying with A-list celebrities, shopping on Rodeo Drive, and living through scandal after scandal. When her estranged husband offers her a second chance at the All-American lifestyle, she can't pass up a shot at real happiness. Back in suburbia, Jessica spends her nights in sexy role-play hoping Morgan will overlook her deficiencies as a homemaker. She spends her days attending P.T.A. meetings, burning cookies, and asking herself "What would June Cleaver do?" More to the point, what will Morgan do when she winds up back in the tabloids—with his teenage daughter right next to her?

Jessica and Morgan are so easy to care about, despite (or more likely because of) their foibles. The first chapter is entertaining and moves quickly into a sexy scene, but the heart of book happens when Jessica gets to the suburbs, and writing this culture clash is where Preston really shines. Her dialog is witty and prose is breezy and fun. If you're looking for a fast, fun, escapist read with characters you can root for, this is a perfect buy.

I loved this book. From the moment I started reading, I couldn't put it down. The characters are well-drawn, likeable and relatable and the premise is a fun, modern twist on the marriage-of-convenience theme.
Jessica is a Hollywood party girl whose antics routinely get her on the front page of the tabloids. Morgan is a venture capitalist who likes his staid, calm life in the burbs.
Four years ago they met, fell in love and got married. And then it all went horribly wrong. Now, Morgan's daughter needs a mother more than ever before and Jessica moves back in - to care for the stepdaughter she adores and to try to win back the man she never stopped loving.
If you've ever hidden your true feelings behind a devil-may-care attitude and sky high stiletto pumps, this book's for you. And if you're in the mood for sizzling hot, well-written sex you will love "Infamous".

Jessica Sinclair was raised in the bosom of Hollywood, partying with A-list celebs and shrugging off her `bad girl' reputation. She'd thought she had a chance at a regular life when a whirlwind romance four years ago brought her love, marriage, and a wonderful step-daughter, but all that came crashing down within two months of her vows, after the publication of her scandalous novel. Morgan is willing to give their marriage another chance, partially for his daughter, but mainly because he still feels captivated by the woman he married in haste. But can Jessica convince him she's not as shallow as the tabloids constantly make her out to be?

Romances with a domino effect of misunderstandings are hard to pull off, but Irene Preston does just that in Infamous. Jessica is a party girl, but she's also kind and loyal. Given her in-the-spotlight upbringing, it's hard for her to trust anyone, and that includes the man she loves. In tinseltown, no one tells it like it is, and Jessica can't communicate her hopes and fears. Morgan is just as bad. He's conservative, and completely unfamiliar with Jessica's world, so he believes everything he reads in print as gospel. Neither one can see how someone from such a different world could love them, and therein lies the root of their problem.

This book is so clever and well written that I just couldn't put it down. Jessica is realistic, likable and funny, a bad girl I'd love to be friends with. She burns cookies, takes on the PTO, snarks with the best of the best. She's a hoot and I rooted for her to the very last page. I also loved reading a book with a loving step-mother/step-daughter relationship. Worth every penny.

Irene Preston got me hooked in the first chapter by making me wonder just exactly who the man and woman were who were so immediately attracted than they couldn't keep their hands--or any other part of their anatomy--off each other in the middle of a big Hollywood party. Turns out Jessica and Morgan are married but estranged. She's the Hollywood wild child. He's the staid suburban businessman. But his daughter needs Jessica so she moves back into suburbia and tries to be June Cleaver.

Preston is a polished writer who makes the dialogue sing and the story move along at an enjoyable clip. It's a romance novel so you know it'll all work out in the end but getting there, in this case, is a heck of a lot of fun.

    Wow!!!!
Morgan and Jessie's story is heartwarming, heart stopping and hot, hot, hot!!!
Sometimes what you see is not all you get....sometimes you get lucky and this read certainly kept me hoping that was the case till the very end. Hollywood glamour and family values all mixed up in a recipe for happily ever after...or not!

Oh, and for the month of July, it's on sale for only $1.99. A great read at a great price!
    Check it out!

Sizzling and captivating! Irene Preston has accomplished a rare feat in the romance novel genre. Sprinkled generously with delectable erotica, INFAMOUS is a suspenseful treatise on the dysfunctional and dishonest communication that all too often destroys love and relationships. This fast-paced novel is tragedy, redemption, and much more. I could not have been more captured by this sizzling romance if it had been a mystery. Beautiful and intelligent writing. Irene, I can't wait for your next blockbuster.

I really loved this book. I read it in one day while traveling, and I am so glad I did so. I didn't know what to expect from Preston, but I wasn't disappointed. This was a very hot and spicy read which I enjoyed. It was also a great departure from the more serious romantic suspense I usually read. Preston had me HOOKED by the twist in the end of the first chapter. Let's just say I didn't see that coming--don't want to spoil the fun. Our heroine is a gossip writer and the hero is a buttoned up business guy and single father. But sometimes things aren't like they seem--especially in Hollywood. The electricity in this book is palatable. I would recommend it for anyone who likes spicy contemporary romance. Would definitely read more by Preston.
