Uber Bossy: A Small Town Romantic Comedy (Jobs From Hell Book 2) Kindle Edition

4.4 4.4 out of 5 stars 455 ratings

Number one rule for landing the new job? Don’t sleep with your new boss right before the interview.

Lenora

I came across crazy people on the daily giving rides to strangers for a living. I carried pepper spray and I wasn’t afraid to use it. But one gorgeous male in a fake mustache and a story he wasn’t willing to share, and I was ready to climb in the backseat to peel his layers. He’s a distraction I don’t need as I graduate online college and try to get my first professional job so I can move out of my parents’ house before I’m thirty. I’m so close to realizing my dreams I can taste it.

Jayden

I should have never hit on my driver. Even if she was the hottest thing I’d seen in cutoff jean shorts in maybe forever. I wasn’t in Auburn Hill for personal reasons and getting involved with the locals came ill-advised as I set up my new business. I probably shouldn’t know she curses like a sailor in bed considering I wind up interviewing her for a position in my company. Now I’m thinking of all kinds of positions I can put her in. Maybe she’ll settle for being an employee with benefits

But none of that matters now. Because I fired her.

In front of the whole town.

On her first day.

Pretty sure there’s no coming back from that.

Uber Bossy is a laugh-out-loud RomCom featuring a single dad opening a salacious new business in a small town and the preacher's daughter who really doesn't want to be dating her new boss. Uber Bossy is book two in the Jobs From Hell series.

What a great story this was. I adored Nora and Jayden from the beginning! Their romance was unique and very steamy.... But.... At the same time so sweet and funny! Jayden was such a sensitive caring person who had been hurt badly a couple of times and who completely lived for his son, Red. Nora, was a feisty woman who had not come into her own person as much as she wanted to.. But her journey after she met Jayden was quick, funny, and uplifting! All the characters in the town are quirky and interesting! I really like that the main women in the book, and the men also, have their little groups of loyal, supportive and caring friends that they get together with and share theories and downs with... That really enhances the books. I really like that the two books that I have read by Marika Ray so far don't have numerous chapters of angst... Just enough to make them interesting but not enough to make you dislike the main characters.....which is something a lot of authors do and I am now avoiding those type authors so I was delighted to find Marika Ray. I highly recommend this wonderful feel good story. It is an absolutely delightful mix of love, friendship, swoony romance, loyalty, humor, a bit of mystery, and small town quirkiness!!!😇

I absolutely love this hilarious new book from Marika Ray!! If there was ever a time when I needed to laugh it was now, and Uber Bossy did the trick. I love Nora, with her motivated work ethic, feisty personality and amazing sense of humor. She doesn’t let anything bother her and she always goes after what she wants. Nora makes every Uber pick up an adventure, and the scenes where she maneuvers through the roundabout
are always interesting and far from boring. Nora never knows who will be waiting for her when she arrives at the airport, and when she saw Jayden approach her car and call her name in his sexy, gravelly voice, she knew she was in big trouble. He was sex on a stick and too much temptation to resist. What could she possibly do but take him for a ride and see where it goes. Little did she know that her handsome passenger with the impeccable suit and fake mustache had secrets that were too juicy to ignore. What was he doing in Auburn Hill and who was he hiding from? Jayden was in town for one reason and one reason only, which didn’t include falling in love with his beautiful and fiery driver. Nora was something else and his heart wanted to know more about her, but his mind put up a stop sign. He felt like he was stuck in the roundabout, going in circles with nowhere to go. Jayden wondered if he had made the wrong decision to move to this friendly, but eccentric town. Only time will tell.

Another fantastic, laugh out loud romantic comedy. Lenora and Jayden will have you in stitches when you return to Auburn Hill. It’s a perfect mix of hilarity, drama and some mystery as to the culprit of graffiti and missing toys. This is a series that I recommend reading when things are rough because your day will be brighter and you cannot help the smile that comes to your face. Cannot wait for the next book in this series.

It was an oka book. It had an HEA, there was cheating, no love triangle. I didn't like how Jayden treated Nora. I honestly felt like Nora deserved more than Jayden. And the way he was acting when he did that thing in front of her parents after she stood up for him was completely horrible. I only saw a one-sided love until the epilogue honestly. And the extended epilogue dont waste your time, it's just a marriage scene and has nothing to it

The story had me from chapter 1. A grumpy rider in an Uber with a happy hug loving gal. They seem to hit it off. Friends with benefits ensues until someone got hurt. The goat had me laughing the most in this book. I cant wait to read more.

I loved this book from the moment I opened it. What's not to like? A billionaire in a fake mustache, a preacher's daughter who can make up curses while driving you'll want to use the next time you get cut off, an adorable little baby boy, and a town full of colorful characters. Marika strikes again with this laugh-out-loud romantic comedy I couldn't put down. This book had it all, full on gasp moments and happy tears as well as PLENTY of laughter. Plus you get to see Bain and Lucy again, which is always a plus for me! I can't wait for the next story with the H*ll Raiser girls and the guys who think they can tame them.

Her books are just straight up crazy and hilarious. I am in love with the town of Hell and of course the hell raisers. Lenora is a bad-ass who is a total sweetheart. Jayden is a man who had had bad luck with women in the past. Put these two together in Hell and you will giggle all the way through. Although I was in tears during the goat yoga.

Hayden has decided to be closer to his big brother and family, therefore moving to Hell with little Alfred. Enter the only Uber driver in Hell, Lenora, being in charge of picking him up and driving him to the airport in Monterey. Some funny twists and happenings throw them together. Unmissable 2nd book in the series

Nora and Jayden’s book was just the light hearted read I needed. This town is definitely jam packed with hilarious characters and there are plenty of LOL moments to go with the chemistry. Really enjoyed this great addition to the series.

This was an enjoyable second book in a small town series. It had a good mix of characters, especially lead character Lenora. I'm looking forward to reading the next instalment.
