The Schoolteacher's Suitor (Andrews Family Saga Book 3) Kindle Edition

4.2 4.2 out of 5 stars 44 ratings

An inspirational romance novella set in 1800s Wyoming:

Jane Doran has always been known as a bluestocking. As a dedicated teacher and committed academic, she is happiest with her nose buried in a book. She has never considered herself especially adventurous—that is, until the day she comes across an advertisement for a teaching position in Wyoming Territory. For some reason she can’t explain even to herself, she applies for the position. Next thing she knows, she is boarding a train bound for the Wild West.

Grant Andrews knows his place in his family, but sometimes he feels as though his brothers’ underestimate him. There’s more to him than the light hearted, sometimes reckless man most people believe him to be. When he meets the new schoolteacher, he feels like he can finally show a side of himself that many of his friends and neighbors never see.

As Grant and Jane draw closer together, bonding over their love of literature and nature, the hesitation they both feel begins to grow as well. Is it possible for a fun-loving, gregarious Wyoming rancher and a prim, studious Boston schoolteacher to find a future together?

Kimberly Miller began dreaming of becoming an author at the age of eight years old. Books and reading have always been her passion, and she has finally found a way to combine that love of reading with history, another passion of hers. The victorian era in particular holds a special fascination for her, perhaps from reading so many L.M. Montgomery books as a child. More than once, she has felt that she was born a century too late. Writing historical fiction has brought Kimberly the fulfillment of her lifelong dream and given her a way to unite her dual loves of history and books.

Kimberly’s previous written works include several magazine and newsletter articles, two stage play scripts, and countless blog posts.

As the mother of eight children, Kimberly’s days are kept busy homeschooling and caring for her large and often chaotic household. She and her husband live with their brood on 19 acres in rural Maine, the perfect state to live in as an author. There they keep horses, chickens, ducks, dogs, parakeets, and a snail.

Grab your cup of tea and a cozy chair! This is such a delightful story to enjoy. When a young schoolteacher from Boston moves to Wyoming to teach, her city life collides with the West. After meeting a young rancher whose life is drastically different from hers, she must decide if her feelings for him are worth leaving behind everything she once knew and loved. The well-developed characters, charming setting, and serious conflict all collide to make an enjoyable read!

Grant the rancher met Jane the new school teacher as she departed the coach after a long trip from Boston to Wyoming. Jane stumbled as her legs became weak and Grant caught her and held her up. He had been at the station to pick up an order for the ranch. Jane didn’t know where she would be staying but the board had decided she would stay at the ranch since it had all the accommodations needed. Of course Grant and Jane began a friendship that grew to live despite the store keepers daughter being overly friendly with Grant. There were a few problems but live won out. A sweet story.

The story of a courageous young woman who finds love when not looking for it and the complexity of all relationships. With faith and honesty it all ends up as it should. A delightful story with a beautiful ending.

A great addition to the series! I read it in one seating and couldn’t put it down. I love seeing who the next Andrews sibling is going to find their loved one.

This third book in the Andrews Family Sage series takes us back to the Wyoming Territory to reconnect with the Andrews family. This sweet, quick read featuring charming Wyoming rancher Grant Andrews and stubborn, Boston bred teacher Jane Doran chronicles their up and down relationship. With delightful characters, a well-structured plot, richly described small town Western frontier settings, and a bit of sweet romance, this is an enjoyable, entertaining read. If you are looking for a light historical romance, I recommend that you try this one. Note: Even though this book is the third in the series, it can easily be read as a standalone.
I received a copy of this book from the author/publisher with no obligation to write a positive review.

This is my voluntary review of a copy I received from the author.

The characters are realistically created, infuriatingly at times. He's immediately captivated, but doesn't say anything or really do anything about it until... well, until he's forced to.
She takes a bit longer to warm up, and, likewise, doesn't act until the big drama moment... sigh... Young people!

They so step up and before long, though. They are pretty mature in their thoughts and words when they finally do.

We get a feel-good HEA to close the book on a happy note.

For some reason she doesn’t completely understand, Jane decides to apply to teach at a small school in the Wyoming territory. As she gets off the train, she stumbles and finds herself caught by Grant, who had come into town to pick up something for the ranch. Things continue from there and these delightful characters draw closer.
This is a wonderful book and I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. I would highly recommend it to anyone who enjoys a good western romance.
I received an ARC of this book and this is my honest review.
