OBSOLETE THEORY's music can be identified as Post Black Metal rich of hints from Doom, Death and Avantgarde Black Metal resounding obscurity, alienation and sickness. "Dawnfall" is the band's sophomore album and pushes their vision of dark music to new levels with a more extreme, sick and violent release. They present a manifesto of heaviness, depth & atmosphere everything into a magnificent extreme music, with six long, complex and full of pathos songs for what we can consider for sure an opus of emotional sonorities. "Dawnfall" is Post Black Metal for fans of BEHEMOTH, ENSLAVED, MGLA, AGALLOCH, KATATONIA, ALCEST without forgetting the Avantgarde side of their world that is very close to bands such as ARCTURUS and BORKNAGAR. As for the previous album it.

so many gems in this album but after i went through this in order for my review, i kept returning to this anguished call to humanity, an emblem of despair in vast nothingness. a shred of hope dashed, as this album as a whole speaks to the annihilation of the ideals of humanity and the pedestals they sit on - and what happens when we watch all that shatter. there are plenty of outer space themed albums, but VORGA brings us something worth listening to.

Thank horned baby Jesus for Blood Music. So many underground treasures. It shouldn’t come as a surprise a band of this talent level has robust evolutionary jumps between albums. Electronic touches, hints of clean vocals and intriguing song structures are added to the absurd technical mastery conveyed via their first LP. It’s not common for high end Tech Death bands to incorporate outside genres. This album is very special and quite enjoyable.

Death metal at the visceral core with a thick, salt crusted, chitinous exoskeleton of sludge and groove. ‘The Howling Silence’ has put Warcrab on the war path. Prepare yourselves. 7/10
