Fun might be on the schedule for Halloween, but Kate & Meg find crime doesn't take a holiday...
Kate McKenzie never dreamed when she started her business, Stacked in Your Favor, that she'd spend nearly as much time crime solving as organizing.
However, with Halloween approaching, and too many items on the to-do list, she and Meg Berman find themselves in another puzzling—and risky—dilemma. Where every answer leads to another question.
And more danger…

No murder, yay! Just warm fuzzy, family fun. Not quite resolved at the end
- Reviewed in the United States on November 7, 2019There is a new woman in the neighborhood --all the kids think she is strange. Kate and Meg decide they will go visit her since they haven't met her yet. The woman is kind of strange but friendly enough when she realizes that all her two neighbors are doing is bring her a welcome box of cookies.
Somehow they got involved in the schools Halloween party which was really more like a carnival for young kids! They convinced their husbands to dress up as well and they all went to help out.
Strange things happen and Kate and Meg are almost taken hostage---turns out the kids were right about this woman!
As usual there are lots of organizational tips in this one. There is also a bunch of safe games that younger children can play that mimic carnival games. The story line that goes along with these tips will keep you reading!

- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2018I love visits with Kate, Meg and their families. The day to day moments that make the characters feel real are as entertaining as the mysteries. There are no dead bodies in this Halloween treat but the takedown is great..

5.0 out of 5 stars What is the neighbour up to.
Kate and Meg are busy organizing a garage for a customer, getting ready for a Halloween carnival and welcoming a new neighbour. When Kate and Meg bring cookies and introduce themselves they realize something is off with the new neighbour. The kids on the block think that she is a witch who turns cats into zombies.
This was a nice easy read that I enjoyed very much.
