Perfect Ending for the Chandler boys. Loved the small hometown atmosphere and family closeness. These are the kind of love stories that stick with you.

This is the story of Chase & Sloane. Chase is a small town journalist and publisher of a small town paper. Sloane is a senator’s daughter, who is in Washington DC, and learns of devastating news and goes to the small town where her mother grew up to find out the truth about her family. Now Chase is in Washington DC to report on a story about who is running for Vice President. Sloane just happens to be that senator’s daughter. She has just found out a family secret, and it’s a big one. The first time they meet it’s in a bar. It was instant electricity. They spend one night together. Oh, the irony of his supposedly interview with the senator’s wife. She gave him such a revelation, he couldn’t believe it. There’s suspense and mystery, steaminess, protectiveness, mothers’ meddling and love. This story about the oldest Chandler brother is intriguing, to say the least. I enjoyed this whole series immensely. Please read and enjoy it at as much as I did.

This is the third and final Book in The Chandler Brothers series. They should be read in order, but could be read individually without a lot of confusion. The is a 20th anniversary re-release of this series with a new cover and updated content.

Chase was barely an adult when his father died. He left behind his dreams, college and his own goals to come home, become the man of the house, help raise his two younger brothers and take over the family business of a small town newspaper. He has had all the family responsibility he ever wants and has no plans for marriage or a family of his own. If he has a need to scratch, he leaves town, finds a one night stand and moves on. Now that his brothers are grown, in relationships and happy, Chase has the chance to pursue some dreams of his own starting with an national level article that takes him to Washington D.C.

Sloane is a Senetor's daughter. Her Dad is planning for his Vice-presidential race. She overhears her Dad and his aids talking about a problem to his long term presidential bid that needs to go away. It seems Sloane's biological father isn't the man she has called Dad all her life. His life might be in danger and she hasn't even met the man so she goes off to find him and warn him.

Sloane and Chase had a one night hook-up in Washington D.C. Now she is going to Yorkshire Falls to try to find her real Dad. Sloane's Mom contacts Chase, who she met in D.C., to keep an eye on Sloane. All their time together leads to deeper feelings. Can this mystery end in a love match?

This is my favorite chandler brother. Youget to see all three getting their lives In order and moving on. Chase getting to leave the small town and try to write a huge story he did t expect what that would me and that it would bring him back home as personal protection. Chase and Sloan are so great and I loved finding out how everyone deals with secrets for the past when politics are involved. This was one of my first books by Carly Phillips of course 20 years ago when this series first came out and it is still one of my favorites and very glad I followed Kelly Ripas book recommendation for the bachelor and this series.

Chace took on a lot once his father died and he became man of the house to help his mother bring up his two younger brothers.
It’s now his time to follow his dreams as they are both grown up and have partners.
Sloane, a Senators daughter is always in the spotlight.
She overhears something that rocks her world and she acts out, spending an unforgettable night with Chace.
On a quest to find herself and the truth she seeks she heads to Chace’s hometown only to be heading straight into danger.
Shocked to see that her rescuer is Chace she is confused and thinks the worse.
Along with danger this story brings humour, a meddlesome mother and a growing love and affection between Chace and Sloane.
Will Chace change his opinion and want a happily ever after with Sloane and all that comes with it?
Or will he choose to follow his own path away from her?
Another beautifully written story that I thoroughly enjoyed and would recommend.

    2021 updated version

I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book (given by the author)...

This is the oldest Chandler brother’s, Chase’s, story; multiple POVs.

If you read the other the books in this series, then you know all about Chase and responsibilities he took over at a young age when his father died. Naturally after of years sacrifice for his family, Chase finally feels free to pursue his own dreams and he gets his first career making story, but there is a catch he wasn't ready for. Enter in Sloane Carlisle, daughter of Senator Michael and Madeline Carlisle, who learns of a huge family secret that changes her entire life and everything she ever knew about her family.

I loved Sloane, she was completely hardcore and did what she needed to in order to process her new truth and then took the necessary steps to meet her unknown past. Also, her connection with Chase was intense, but she never settled for less than she deserved.

My favorite part had to be when she finally gave Chase what he deserved after all his emotional push and pull which Sloane called his white knight behavior. Chase had to fight for Sloane and to be honest it made this book more enjoyable than the others, since Sloane didn't automatically swoon for Chase's sudden change of heart.

I love Samson and the Carlisle family was totally awesome.

This was a great way to end the series.
