I am writing this review feeling rather tired after a night of very little sleep. Why the lack of sleep? Well I just could not put this book down!

I'm no stranger to S.L. Scott's novels. She has a knack of having me hooked from the very first chapter, and this book was no different. This story was just so easy to read. I thought it flowed seamlessly and I just wanted to know what was going to happen next.... hence not being able to put my kindle down.

I love the characters Mallory and Evan. I really enjoyed our introduction to them and I do love a book that keeps me guessing all the way throughout, and Falling for the Playboy definitely ticked that box. My stomach seemed to be constantly in knots as I turned the pages.
There are secrets still to be revealed and I'm wondering if Mallory and Evan's relationship will be strong enough to stand the test of time as they face moving on from the here and now. It will be interesting to see what decisions they both make in order to ensure their relationship continues. I am certain that there will be a few obstacles in their way and I am really looking forward to seeing how they handle the situations that I feel are coming.

I took an instant liking to all the characters in the book. I am so pleased that this is the first book in the Playboy in Paradise trilogy because I will be able to spend more time with them all in the follow-up books and I cannot wait.

This is a must read story set on the stunning island of Hawaii. I am certain you will enjoy this novel as much as I did.

I just love SL Scott's books and was excited to read Falling For The Playboy. I love a good, fun read but did not expect to be so enthralled by these characters that I read it in one day. I could not stop! I needed to know their ending and just wanted more, hence the reading marathon lol!
Mallory is going to Hawaii on vacation to visit her best friend and ends up meeting Evan. Evan is your typical no strings attached, fun vacation hook up. Their chemistry, off the charts! Their banter had me smiling throughout. I fell in love with them as their relationship developed.
There was so much more to Evan, and still more to learn in the next books. He is good, deep down and Mallory gets him to put his walls down and want more for the first time. They have such a strong connection and as the reader you feel that through SL Scott's writing.
The story ends, setting up the next book. I wouldn't call it a cliffhanger, but more of a continuation of their journey. There is so much more to learn about their story and I cannot wait! If you are looking for a fun summer read, this is it. There will be three books in the series, perfect for your summer vacation.

Another series to love!

- Falling for the playboy

I love this author's work! She is passionate and her characters are always full of so many feelings and complexity.
And we can always expect a broken, cocky hero with a heart of gold and a sassy heroine fighting her battles and trying to carry her baggage.

Evan and Mallory had so much chemistry and their feelings were all over the place. They were intense and their felt so much and so deeply, that their closeness and feelings for each other left them confused and so scared, because they were way stronger thatn they could have expected.

Evan is a playboy, but there are so much more inside him that he doesn't let out, and little by little we get to know him better and understand his moves and fears and personality.

Mallory is already trying to heal from a recent burn, so a cocky player is the last thing she needs. But she doesn't expect to meet Evan and she expected even less to know the real him. So even though he hurts her (even if not intending to), she can deny the pull he has over her.

Actually, neither one of them can deny it and, as time goes by, they don't want to deny. They start to realize that their feelings are not something that you can overlook or simply ignore.

They are not just jumping and having fun, they are definitely falling. And they are trying to find out, together, if they can handle the landing.

- Redeeming the playboy

Evan and Mallory are totally in love with other. And as they fight some demons from the past, they discover they have new ones coming their way.

But the great thing is that they are fighting together now. They are not each other's saviour, but they are definitely each other's partner in their battles.

They are extremely passionate and even though that is amazing for the security they need considering their pasts, it also can bring some heated discussions.
The pretty thing, though, is that they are willing to be a better a more mature person and make them work. They were willing to work their own issues in order to build a solid relationship, not only based on chemistry anymore. They wanted it to be based on their trust and love.

They are not living just for the present now, as they were in the first book. Now they are considering their future together and trying to make amends, right the wrongs and stablish their balance.

It's interesting, because it was a book where Evan was finding redemption for so many of his actions and for things that wasn't even his fault, but he needed that closure more than he thought he did.
And it was also a book where both of them grew so much. They had a lot of feelings going on, but they started to learn how to use and direct those feelings for their benefit, for their own sake and for the growth of their relationship.

They wasn't fighting against each other, they were fighting for each other and the beautiful future they could see ahead of them, even if so many things were yet to be solved.

It was definitely the redemption of the playboy, but more than that, it was the start of their maturity.

- Loving the playboy

Since the very beginning of the series, we could see the great chemistry they both had. They were even so many times volatile.

But as they spent more time together, specially in the second book, they really grew and started to embrace responsabilities and act like grown ups.
It was interesting to see them get more and more mature.

And now it was like they were really being adults. And not only from age, but for their actions. They faced their obstacles, they took risks, they stood up for themselves and for each other.
They faced whatever was necessary to be together.
They weren't teenagers in a crush.
They were adults in love, with all the struggles that life often throws.

In this book, they finally started to find a common ground between them and together, they begin to build their lives and their futures.
And they didn't spare their feelings. All their love, lust, care, worries and fears, all their banter and chemistry, all of that and so much more were fundamental to build their relationship and make it grow.

I spent this week with them, and it was so beautiful watching them page by page, book by book, how willing they were to make them work.

They would stop at nothing and no one.

It was time to love the playboy. It was time for the playboy to love.

And love they did!

I haven’t read a sweet summer romance by SL Scott before. What an awesome treat!!! ALOHA and welcome to paradise dolls 🏝 Set in the beautiful tropical islands of Hawaii, the setting is the perfect backdrop for Mallory and Evans love story.

Picture a lush tropical greens, crashing waves, the beating sun, and a tropical storm, this is Mallory and Evan’s relationship to date. Loving the highs, riding those tumultuous waves, exploring a new love like rays of sunshine beating down on your shoulders. And a storm of emotions that threaten to tear everything apart, only to examine the wreckage afterwards and put yourself back together.

Evan is not the perfect surfer boy you’d imagine in a sweet summery romance. He’s flawed, damaged, but he’s got a beautiful heart that’s trying its hardest to shine through. Malory only brings out the best of him, while also awakening his fears of the past. How will their love survive the summer? The story continues in Redeeming the Playboy ♥️

Mallory is headed to Hawaii for the summer. She's escaping from a bad relationship and spending it working & living with her bestie, Sunny. When she lands she sees a hottie sending his squeeze off. A hottie who's checking her out too. And so we meet Evan. Evan who ends up as Mallory's first night in Hawaii one night stand. What starts as casual quickly evolves into more. Evan is drawn to her and vice versa. He's a Maserati driving, surf instructor living in his rich family's guest house. His sister loves her. His mom? Not so much. They burn hot for each other. But what's going to happen at the end of summer? I can't wait to see where their romance goes. She and Evan are passionate and a wee bit combustible, both in bed and out. Will this summer romance be more? I received a review copy. I am voluntarily leaving an honest review.

Solid 2.5 stars. I was given this ARC in exchange for an honest review. Unfortunately I appear to be in the minority on how I felt about the characters so this might be a "it's me" thing but I promised to be honest.

Mallory and Evan met and fell very quickly into a sexual relationship. It felt to me that it was have booty call, get annoyed with each other and stop talking followed by a repeat of the same. Other than sexual banter there was little communication nor did they share their inner thoughts. After a month of this (no dates up to this point that I can recall, just booty calls), they were in "love" which just threw me. After deciding to be a couple they finally discuss where they both attend(ded) college which call me old-fashioned, but isn't that a first date discussion?? I got to the end of the book and really didn't know much about either main character and I had little vested interest in them. It does end on a cliffhanger and sadly, I don't see myself continuing the story. My problem was with the way the character development evolved in this particular book. This was my first SL Scott book and I did find her writing skills to be solid. This might just be this particular book's character development and the fact that it didn't work for me. I need more background on characters to get vested in them and sadly, I didn't feel like this one delivered that for me.

This story is tempting, mouthwatering, delicious and every other descriptive adjective that draws you in to quench your appetite but keeps you wanting more. Everything about it from the opening scene, the intriguing story, the lingering questions, the beauty that is Hawaii, the push and pull, to the what is going to happen, keeps you wanting more.

Evan, is the eternal playboy. They guy we all know or heard of or been betrayed by. He lives life for his own pleasure. Or does he? Everyone has their story. Sometimes we make judgments on first appearances. Sometimes, first appearances are all people let us see and want us to see. Like every coin there is another side.

Mallory, beautiful, honest. what you see is what you get Mallory. How often do we really get to meet people as honest and smart as her? Mallory has had her own set us issues but she is a breath of fresh air. She’s not taken in easy but sometimes things just draw you to them. It’s like chocolate. You know you shouldn’t eat too much but one piece won’t hurt. Can you really stop at one?

Add all the other interesting, quirky characters and you’ve got yourself a story you just can’t put down.

This author always captivates me with her books. She always keeps it fresh and you never know what type of book you’re going to get next time. Well this time was no different. I’ve traveled many types of scenarios from rock and roll, to intrigue and mystery and now to Hawaii. I admit I like the trips.

Don’t worry you’ll experience all the feels, from smart wisecracking remarks, playboy antic, smile, laughs, swoons, romance, intrigue, and heat. It brings it all. Seriously, I couldn’t put this book down. I have the circles under my eyes to prove it. I read it straight through. I know I haven’t given you many (or any details) but that’s because you need to read the book for your own enjoyment.

I can’t wait to read the next installment. I’m already missing it!

What can I say about this book that doesn't give too much away?! I've loved and enjoyed the books by this author and she's one of favorites since I started reading but I really think this one is on another level! The angst, the heartburn and love in this story is just so palpable that you cannot help but feel for the lead characters. I'm just dying to know what happens next and hope I don't have to wait too long 'cuz the wait is already killing me but I have a feeling the wait will be worth it!

Mallory is in Hawai for the summer and looking for a good distraction from everything going on in her life. When she and Evan first meet, they get off on the wrong foot but soon enough the chemistry between them will be off the chain and what first will be a one-night stand, may turn into something more. But with Mallory only being there for the summer and Evan having his bad boy reputation, nothing seems to be going right and obstacles keep being thrown in their way. Will both give each other a chance and will Evan be able to make Mallory see that there is more than meets the eye?...

Wow!!! I'm so excited about this story. These two are full of passion towards each other so it makes the pages HOT, that's plus. But the good thing about the book is that they also find out that they were not functioning correctly before finding each other.
Mallory has this defensive mode at the forefront because she has been hurt before so she is protecting herself. But who would have thought this bad boy is in full on protection mode? Evan was a playboy that needed his ego kicked down a notch and without Intending to, Mallory manages to accomplish just that. It is so cute and swoon worthy to read how this playboy can do a 180 in attention adjustments. He is sweet, attentive and has an insatiable need for her.

They don't know how to navigate a successful relationship but they are learning as they go with the help of some very good friends. They also have all the odds against them and some mean and conniving people around them that are more than happy to cause drama. Not that they can't figure the drama portion of their relationship on their own... Can they survive and figure out how to overcome their obstacles? I can't wait to see what happens next. I have a feeling things are going to get harder with the turn of each page.

This was such a great read. The chemistry between Mallory and Evan is off the charts hot. There is a lot of unanswered questions that I am dying to get answers to. This book was very well written and the perfect summer read and I can't wait to read the next two books in this trilogy.

Reading Falling for the Playboy feels similar to the way I imagine that it would feel to learn how to surf. Up and down, the moment where you feel like you've got it and then the next moment that sends you crashing into the ocean. Finally, that moment of elation when you finally ride on a baby wave but know there's so much more coming.

You can't help, but be invested in Mallory and Evan as individuals and root for them together. Neither of them is perfect and there were moments when I wanted to knock some sense into both of them, but that's what makes it so good is how real and raw they both feel. It's angsty and sweet and you can't turn the pages fast enough to see where these two are going to go next.

Mallory is the best kind of heroine because she's honest, real, and she adapts to both her surroundings and Evan in the best possible way. What more can you ask for in a romantic hero than Evan he's hot, unwavering, and creative (pineapple, anyone?)

The best part about this is knowing that there are two more books in Evan and Mallory's journey and I can't see what happens next for them.

Evan and Mallory picked the perfect location to fall in love. Hawaii mixes natural beauty with a turbulent history. Everything about this magical island is extreme. From the sandy beaches and calm waters to chaotic weather and majestic volcanoes, the surprises are a nonstop feast for the senses. Instant attraction makes for a dramatic courtship within a seductively, beautiful escapade. Falling for the Playboy plans the perfect escape.

S.L. Scott hooked me from the first chapter!! Mallory is a senior in college and takes her friend up on the offer to come stay with her in Hawaii on her Summer break. Evan is a rich, arrogant hottie (and he knows it) who doesn’t do relationships. They first meet as soon as she gets off the plane to her new home for the next 3 months while he’s saying goodbye to another girl!! From there what is suppose to be a 1 night stand turns into a complete emotional rollercoaster! This book has the steam, the drama, the heartbreak and the love! I can’t wait for the next book!!!

Let me preface this by saying that I don’t often read sweet and, though this has an HEA for now, I feel it ended on a cliffhanger. Hence the three star rating. Just not my cup of tea.

That being said, the writing was great and I loved the characters. I definitely recommend reading and will watch for the second book to be released!

S.L. Scott's latest series whisks readers away to a Hawaiian tropical paradise where we meet Mallory and Evan. They have a unique meet-cute and things take off from there. Mallory and Evan's romance is most definitely not smooth sailing. There are so many ups and downs that, at times, I wanted to smack each one of them! Scott does a great job with these young adult characters. They're each struggling to find their way while fighting their feelings for one another.

As the first book in the Playboy In Paradise trilogy, Scott sets the stage for secrets and drama. I can't wait to find out what happens to Mallory and Evan in the second book Redeeming the Playboy. There's so much more of their story to be told! 4 stars

Falling for the Playboy is a fantastic read. You feel the chemistry between Mallory and Evan from the very first meet. I love them together. Mallory is on the Island for a much need break from school. I love her spunk. You feel for her torn between two men. Much of Mallory is kept a mystery which I love. Now you get to playboy Evan. He is a swoon worthy guy and just as mysterious. I love Mallory and Evan together and you hope they can survive the distance after their 2 months are up. I really can't wait for more from this series. S.L Scott does a fantastic job of bringing the love and drama together. Go pick this one up as soon as you can. I need more Mallory and Evan in my life.

"I feel his love and this feels good, satisfying. His body tells me everything I ever need to hear, everything he can’t say … or isn’t ready to say."

Welcome to paradise ladies. Falling for the Playboy was just the sweet summer romance I needed. Set in the tropics of Hawaii this story was all hot sun, hot boys, and even hotter romance. This is my second time reading Evan and Mallory's story and I love it as much this time as I did the first time. Something about these characters just draw you in. S.L. Scott has a way of keeping you hooked from the first page to the very last. This story was a emotional ride that had me ready for every up, down, and curve it threw my way. I loved how involved the secondary characters are. The author has this way of making you love all her characters mot just the main ones. I am secretly hoping for Sunny and Eric, and Kate and Murphy to get their own books! I've lived getting glimpses into their lives. The chemistry between Evan and Mallory is as HOT as the Hawiian sun. I love that their story was messy, complicated and imperfect. I am definitely rooting for them to make it. Love is so much better when the vharacters have to work for it.

"Images of her fill my thoughts— images of being on that couch with her, and holding her. I was once in heaven. Now I’m in hell."

Mallory took me awhile to warm up too. Don't get me wrong I liked her character but she had her moments that made me want to shake some sense into her. Mallory's character was naive, headstrong, and carefree. I liked she wasn't affraid to stand up for herself. She knew what she deserved and didnt settle for less. However I did feel her character tended to over analyze things. She has a bad habbit of thinking to much. I would have liked more growth from her character. She didn't seem to have as much development as Evan. With all that aside I did really enjoy her character. I would be lying if I said Mallory didn't grow on me by the end of the book.

"The tall, wild-locked boy with sun-lightened brown hair could easily be mistaken for an earthbound Hawaiian God."

Evan rode right in and surfed away with my heart. Sure he could be a jerk but he also knew how to make a girl SWOON! I loved Evan wasn't your normal hero character. He was vulnerable, insecure, and cocky. So many times I found myself hanging on his every word. While other times I wanted to slap him for being so stupid. His character definitely kept you on your toes and you never knew what dimension of Evan you was going to get next. I really liked how much his character evolved from start to finish. He definitely came into himself throughout the book.

"The kiss is heated from the moment our lips touch, on fire by the time our tongues meet, and burning when I wrap my arms around his neck giving him everything he wants —everything I want."

*4 STARS*
Well earned for the swoon worthy summer romance my heart needed. If you're looking for a fast paced, sizzling romance with all the feels I recommend reading this book.

Falling for the Playboy will totally get you in the summer mood! Beach, waves, surfing and hot boys running around. This is the paradise Mallory escaped to for her summer break. It's a coming-of-age/young adult romance book, first of a trilogy so there's still more to this story.

Mallory and Evan hit it off straight away and from the get-go it's clear the relationship won't be without its turbulences. Evan is the ultimate playboy of Hawaii. Going through numbers of girls, he is trying to escape his family and fill the void in him. Together, they fit. They connect more than they have ever in the past with someone else.

I loved the setting, the overall plot and the secondary characters - Mallory's friends, Evan's friends and sister...The book has a great vibe to it, as all of S. L. Scott's books do. However, I will be honest about not enjoying two things (hence the four stars rating). First was Mallory. While I liked the characters as a whole, I didn't like the way she treated Evan. She was quite the b*tch at times. Second thing was how they always got together, then broke apart, got together, broke apart. Maybe it was my mind-set at the time which play a huge role in how you perceive the story, but to me it seemed to drag on. But those were just small part and it was totally worth the ending! It got me super excited for the second book.

So to wrap it up, it's a great summer read that I'm rating 4 stars!

Falling for the Playboy was like living the summer of my dreams vicariously through a book. Hawaii is one of my dream places to go, so the setting of this book was all it took for me to snap it up.

YA reads are not always my thing but if an author does it right, it can be great.  S.L. Scott has done a fabulous job. The story is believable, people actually have day jobs in between their budding romance escapades. They also fill their spare time with plenty of steamy yet meaningful extra-curricular activities of the sensual nature, if you get my drift. There is no lack of steaminess here; stock up on extra panties.

Spending three months in Hawaii with a friend during summer break is a dream come true for Mallory. Meeting arrogant and too-beautiful-for-his-own-good Evan at the airport is just the icing on the cake. Let the summer of freedom and no judgement begin.

Falling for the Playboy is a coming of age story where two people struggle with their lives and where to go from here. Neither expected to be struck down by cupids arrow and neither seems to know exactly what to do about it.

This is book 1 in a three-book series. I wasn't left with my jaw on the ground at the end, but I did have a smile on my face and a little hope for the future of this couple, but I'm expecting more tears and more angst to come. On to book 2, Redeeming the Playboy.

Evan is our playboy. Believe me when I say that you will see this from the first chapter. Mallory is on a summer get away. Fate brings these two together and the crash into a lovely rhythm. The angst built up and I was anxious to see if these two can make it with a time limit. There was a lot of chemistry and explosion of emotions. Falling for the Playboy will give you heart eyes and butterflies. Evan is a dream. Mallory is brutally honest.

At the end of the story, there is this calm. Serenity. That makes me nervous and anxious. I cannot wait to dive into the next book. There was a special preview at the end that has me on the edge!

I'm torn with this review. There was a part of me that really liked it and another that was left frustrated.

I love all things about this author. She is one of my favorites for a plethora of reasons. The biggest reason being that she is one of the best at developing in-depth characters. This was the first time that I felt like there wasn't enough character development. Everything felt rushed and left me disconnected from them at times. I am not sure why this is. Maybe it is that the characters jumped in so fast before they fell the way that they did.

That being said, this is still good. I was caught up in the setting of the story and can definitely see why this would be an alluring summer read. I am curious as to how the story between Evan and Mallory will enfold as it did end on a cliffhanger. While this book is not my favorite that this author has written I still appreciate her devotion to her craft and for always wanting to ensure that her readers get a wonderful love story.

After the way Mallory’s last relationship ended spending sometime in Hawaii with her best friend seems like the perfect way to heal. The last thing she needs is to get involved with a player like Evan, but some feelings are too strong to deny.

Evan can have any woman he wants, and he usually does. He is drawn to Mallory from their first meeting and decides that she is going to be his next conquest and the chemistry between them was electric.

What started out as a steamy evening evolved into a vacation fling, but will their hearts survive a relationship that has a predetermined expiry date?

I really enjoyed both these characters as Mallory makes Evan want to be a better man and she sees past his playboy persona to his soul. This is a great beginning to their story which leaves you wanting to know what the future has in store for Mallory and Evan.

A Sweet Summer romance that makes you wish you were in paradise yourself. Falling for the Playboy is the first book in Mallory and Evans story.

Mallory Wray has taken up an offer from her best friend Sunny to spend a beautiful summer in paradise. After a bad break up Mallory needs to get away and this is the perfect opportunity.
Evan Ashford is playboy with a reputation that follows. His life is easy and carefree but there are secrets that he doesn’t what to share and most people don’t know who the real Evan Ashford is.

I can sense that there is more to come. S.L. Scott does sweet HEA’s so well but I feel there is trouble brewing and we will get a better feel for Evan and Mallory’s story in the following books.

At the beginning the relationship between Mallory and Evan felt strange yet explosive, with Evan being very mysterious. One can feel the damaged soul without further knowledge.
Mallory struggles with her own feelings and hurt…

Ms. Scott has a very unique way to keep the tension on an all-time high and to portray emotions in a way that draws in the reader and never let them go til the end.

The agony and pain and conflicted feelings in both protagonists are as palpable as the joy and love though some of their trains of thought are not always comprehensible.
The back and forth of their relationship and the connected emotional rollercoaster ride kept me on my toes and drove me crazy while reading…
I loved this book and NEED to read more about this couple!

I read this book under its previous title, Good Vibrations, and read it again under the new title. Both times I fell in love with the storyline and the characters. Suzie always does an exceptional job writing and making you feel what the characters are feeling.

Mallory and Evan are two people who are drawn together just by chance and perhaps one night...but is that all it is? What I loved about this book was that it focused on Mallory and Evan and the issues they face but there was a little side romance going on between their best friends as well as his sister and his other best friend. Ends on a happy note, until you read the preview of book 2! Haha! But have no fear, Suzie isn't going to make us wait long!

I am definitely a fan of S.L. Scott's books and Falling for the Playboy certainly did not disappoint. The characters have chemistry right from the beginning and there is so much push and pull between them and a little mystery. Mallory is in Hawaii for the summer and looking to have fun and relax and Evan is the playboy out to have fun and doesn't seem to have ever been serious with anyone until he meets Mallory and she rocks his world. But Evan has secrets and that is where the mystery comes in. I couldn't put it down and can't wait to read the next book in the series, Redeeming the Playboy.
