Will he and his friends simply be discarded?

And then his life is shattered. The grisly murder is just the beginning. To make matters worse, evidence points in a disturbing direction.

Can it really be true?

Michael is thrust into a life-or-death fight to hunt down a brutal killer—but an even deadlier foe lurks closer than he ever imagined.

Amazon #1 Bestselling Author and a Readers' Favorite Gold Medal winner.

A veteran of the corporate rat-race, John W. Mefford never realized he was mentally documenting every experience of his professional journey—not until he started his first novel during a so-called "corporate timeout."

A voracious reader of mystery-thrillers since before he could shave, John enjoys weaving a twisty tale that keeps readers riveted until the last page. He's also learned he's pretty good at embellishing. Just don't tell his fourth-grade teacher.

I love John Mefford’s books and I think I’ve read almost all of them. This book is no exception. It’s a prime example of what the high corporate officers will do to make themselves richer. When money and the chance of making more and more of it enters the picture, most people will do just about anything to get the big payoff. This book is an excellent example of how they do it and there’s a lot of excitement along the way. John has done an excellent job with all the characters and has fleshed them all out really well. The roller coaster ride you go on with this book is definitely thrilling. You will be on the edge of your seat for most of this book and reading late into the night. I loved it and highly recommend it. Start this series today!

I have to say when I started this book I thought I was going to quit reading it. It had so much going on at first I didn’t think I would enjoy it. Kept reading and was really glad I did. It has a really good storyline and some good characters. So read it I think you’ll like it.

It seems that no matter how much stuff we possess we still want more. This deadly sin was surely deadly for several folks in this story. John Mefford was able to spin an involved, intricate tale about the lengths to which some will go to achieve the desired results. People and money/ resources are merely tools to be used towards those results. I am such a fan of John's books and his writing style; I'm pretty sure that I've read nearly all of his books and cannot find one that I haven't been enthralled with. He's just that good!

I began reading it and couldn't put it down. It's like being on thrill ride where you slowly reach the peak and all hell breaks loose as you descend at breakneck speed through hills and valleys and twists and turns until you breathlessly reach the end. Interesting characters and situations and engaging plot that begins as a routine corporate takeover and morphs into something much more sinister. I highly recommend Fatal Greed and look forward to the next installment.

Medford continues to top himself over and over. I love this author's books! Micheal Doyle finds a body, and we're off! Who killed her? Why? This has to get solved so now he's all in. It's a super ride, page after page from an author that's already given us so many amazing reads. I can't wait to start reading the next book in this seires!

Whoa. What a subject for a new series in today’s world. John Mefford is a master writer of thrillers involving ordinary people living ordinary lives. In this case we are introduced to Michael and Marisa who have lived together for a long time but not yet married due to Michael’s commitment issues. He works in a local accounting firm in a small town in Texas; but for how much longer? We follow Michael and his interactions with all of the characters as they are introduced into the story involving greed, murder, beatings, blackmail, underhanded workings by power brokers, corporate takeover, and bribery. Greed absolutely describes this story of money talks. You really don’t like the people who are orchestrating the pending disaster to this small town’s population. It’s Michael against them all. Once again we are treated to a fantastic new series by this very talented author. I am looking forward to the next to come. While I received an ARC of this wonderful novel, this review is my choice to write.

Like all of the author’s books, you are held in suspense page after page. He has a way of grabbing your attention and keeping it till the very end. But when you are done, you just want to read more. That’s the way it has been with me from the very beginning of reading his books years ago. This book is no different. The main character Michael Doyle finds a dead body and becomes an amateur sleuth wanting to know how she was killed. He also has some issues in his personal life from the past that doesn’t let him move on with his girlfriend, Marisa. In the story, we follow Michael digging in to find the truth while working for a company who is being bought out which just didn’t seem right to him. Great book and I look forward to more in the series.

Once again, John W. Medford has another series which is gripping, fast-paced, and totally engrossing. Michael Doyle was a middle management employee caught in a surprise corporate takeover of his company. His attention is drawn away from his worries about possible unemployment, however, when he discovers the dismembered body of a co-worker. He decides to investigate the murder himself, and discovers the real truth about greed and the many ways it affects the lives of the citizens of his town. There is also a side story involving Michael and his long time girlfriend, Marisa.
This is a hard book to put down. I look forward to future books in the series. I received an ARC of this book. I am reviewing it because I genuinely liked the book and, very definitely, recommend it.

I wasn't sure about this book 1 of the greed series . I thought it started off very slow but I did start to enjoy it as I got further into the story . Folks get greedy and they dispose of whoever gets in their way . I'm going to start book 2 now .
