Darkness. Weariness. A grey horizon beyond which no one hopes to see the sun shine again. DEMANDE À LA POUSSIÈRE is the soundtrack of this slow depression that walks alongside us every day, even though we keep a smile on our faces. At the crossroads of Black Metal, Doom and Sludge, the Parisian combo releases its second album "Quiétude Hostile", 8 tracks of primitive and soily sounds with abrasive and bitter lyrics, between which, coming out of the darkness, we can glimpse some scarce rays of light.
With "Quiétude Hostile" you enter into a Post Apocalyptic universe, you'll be overwhelmed by its thick, sludgy and groove-laden guitar lines, by its vicious and intense vocals, it will annihilate your nervous system with an absolutely obsessive rhythmic section at the limit of paranoia.

Everything comes together extremely well in this album. Probably my all time favorite black metal album now. The mix of atmospheric almost shoegaze playing leads extremely well into the intensity black metal normally has. The saxophone they use on almost all the songs really puts it above others in the genre for me.

Such a great album! It's actually the feminist speech on Arde that won me over. This is such a rare feature in the metal world that it deserves to be pointed out. Love this band.

one of the best death doom bands so far. great melodies with great atmospheres. mostly slow, heavy and doomy but sometimes there are these groovy double-bass drum moments wich are pretty fucking cool. if you like death doom and melodic atmospheric black metal, this is for you.
