Brenda Jackson, New York Times and USA Today Bestselling author of over 100 novels and novellas, was born in Jacksonville, Florida. She earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Jacksonville University. She married her high school sweetheart, Gerald, and they have two sons, Gerald Jr. and Brandon, ages forty-three and forty-one, respectively. She is an active member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Her professional writing career began in 1995 with the release of her first book, Tonight and Forever. Since then she has written over 100 titles, which includes a made-for-television movie by BET, One Special Moment as well as the movie, Truly Everlasting by her own film company; and A Brother's Honor by Passionflix. She was a 2012 NAACP Image Award Nominee for Outstanding Literary Fiction for her book, A Silken Thread; and was named Romance Writers of America’s Nora Robert’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient for 2012. In 2020 she formed a partnership with Hollywood's Bobby Smith, Jr (Jason Lyric's fame) to bring more of her books to the movie screen.

    Loved it! Absolutely great story of pain, hurt, lies, mistrust but most of all discovering love amidst it all. Truly love was at the end of the rainbow. Not only love but healing, forgiveness and happiness. Not only for Vashti but for the Grishams - Sawyer and his daughter Jade, the Harris’s - Percelli, Alma and their daughter Kia as well as Reid Lacroix!

    Mrs. Jackson truly spun the beginning of this series of Catalina Cove in a fantastic way. Not only did she intermingle teenage pregnancy, stolen babies, adoptions, death, lies and coverups but through all of it she showed love is the most important and if one has love then survival is possible as well as joy and happiness.

    I look forward to discovering the fate of Bryce Witherspoon, who is Vashti’s childhood friend and their friend Keagan’s relationship as well as what happens to Ray Sullivan, Reid Lacroix and Gloria Harris, Kia’s adoptive grandmother and also an update on Vashti and Sawyer in the future books as I am sure Mrs. Jackson will keep us informed.

    Very good story and storyline. Love all your books Mrs. Jackson!

    I have always enjoyed the creative, genius writing of Brenda Jackson--since "Delaney's Desert Sheik". Each new continuity line she develops has me anticipating more!

    This story had so many elements that reach the heart--for the young and old, and addresses real-life issues, like teenage pregnancy, divorce, dementia, and reuniting adopted children.

    It was emotional and hopeful all at the same time. Who wouldn't love to see a woman reunited with her child(ren), who thought they were gone? Who wouldn't love to see a widowed man, who mourned his wife and son, learn that he does have grandchildren to dote on and leave his legacy to?

    And of course, no one can dispute that Mrs. Jackson definitely knows romance, and the relationship between Sawyer and Vashti was nothing short of brilliantly written.

    This is definitely in my re-read library--like all of Mrs. Jackson's books!

    This story was both happy and sad the love was oh coming off the pages I love this book it's a page Turner I couldn't wait to get to the end it was Suspenseful. Is that everybody found love and happiness. I was looking for a good book to read and I was happy that I read this book I can't wait to read the next one recommended it to all my friends who reads
