Cruel Intentions: Rydeville Elite, Book 1
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
An Amazon top 25 best seller.
In the power struggle between two elite groups, one feisty girl will bring them to their knees...
Life is a cruel game, where only the most ruthless survive. It’s a truth my mother rebelled against, and she paid for it with her life. Now, I play their game. Publicly accepting the destiny that lies in wait for me when I turn 18. But behind closed doors, I plot my escape.
Trent, Charlie, and my twin Drew rule the hallways of Rydeville High with arrogance and an iron fist. I execute my role perfectly, hating every second, but they never let me forget my place in this world.
Everyone obeys the rules. They have, for generations. Because, our families have always been in control. Until Cam, Sawyer, and Jackson show up. Throwing their new money around. Challenging the status quo. Setting hearts racing with their gorgeous faces, hot bodies, and bad boy attitudes.
Battle lines are drawn. Sides are taken. And I’m trapped in the middle, because I made a mistake one fateful night when I gave my V-card to a stranger in a blatant F you to my fiancé.
I thought it was the one thing I owned. A precious memory to carry me through each dark day.
I couldn’t have been more wrong.
Because, the stranger was Camden Marshall, leader of the new elite and my perpetual tormentor. He hates me with a passion unrivaled, and he won’t be the only one. Fire will rain down if the truth is revealed, threatening alliances, and the power struggle will turn vicious.
My life will hang in the balance. But I’ll be ready, and I’m not going down without a fight.
Note: Due to mature content and themes, this audiobook is recommended for listeners aged 18 and over. This is a full-length novel, and it's book one in a planned trilogy. It cannot be listened to as a stand-alone and ends with a cliff-hanger.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2019My visceral reaction to him has been almost instantaneous.
Even when he was being a nasty prick to me, I still wouldn’t have passed up an opportunity to jump his bones.
WOW! What did I just read?!?!?! Cruel Intentions was FREAKING AWESOME!!!! I'm still mindblown over how incredible this one was! I have read a lot by this Siobhan and this one was my favorite so far. I was so hooked on the story I couldn’t put it down.
Siobhan Davis is without question a favorite author of mine—especially in the last year if my blogging history tells you anything and—she still wows me with each new release. I wasn’t a huge fan of YA romance at the high school level for a long time, but this year, I’ve gotten some straight up amazing romances that apply to this troupe and I've had to open my mind again to the power of the indie author!!! This year I have been incredibly lucky to find so many that I never thought would suck me in so much… considering how long ago I graduated. 😉 (Yet to keep up the rouge of plausible deniability, I am not going to tell you just how long ago that was—LOL.) But this one hit the mark for me. I loved the slightly darker tone from the previous books I’ve read by Siobhan and I FLOVED the storyline. I found the plot had me on pins and needles, devouring this as quickly as I could because I couldn’t hand the possibility of putting down my kindle. Also against it for me originally was the fact that it's written in the heroine's perspective and isn't a dual POV. BUT WOW, that is actually one of the things I loved the most about this particular book because it opened me up to some curveballs that I never saw coming. It’s my understanding that Cruel Intentions is book one of a trilogy and I hate cliffhangers, but if they are done right, then I love them. Cruel Intentions? Yah, this is one that will have you chucking your kindles to this spectacular enemies-to-lovers romance. If this book is an indicator of the next two books, you can rest assured that these books will do nothing less then leave you as mindblown as I was. Definitely a five-star read—at the very least—but I would also tell you that this trilogy is likely to be my most favorite read ever by Siobhan Davis. Additionally, with the complex plot and a darker troupe, it's sure to a favorite amongst a new crowd of readers for her as I don’t think Siobhan's written this style of book in the past—although I could be mistaken as I found her later in the game. If you are looking for depth, outstanding characters and a layered plot that will grab ahold of you and entertain you start to finish, you’ve found the next book to one-click!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on February 22, 2022So I felt a whole lot of emotions when listening to this audiobook. I at times had to stop listening because I was so angry or was about to bawl my eyes out. This book is no joke when it comes to the bullying and intensity. If you are used to other bullying books....you probably are not ready for this one. This one was probably the worst I have listened to/read and that is saying something. Now I will say I did eventually for the characters, but it took a lot of time and for some the next book to get me there. I will say I really liked Abi, despite her flaws. She was so tenacious but sometimes naive. Those she cared about (especially Jane, Xavier, and when he wasn't a d-bag, Drew) she would do anything for, even put her own happy and well-being in jeopardy.
The beginning of this book instantly drew me in, made me want to cry because her pain and emptiness was palpable. The tension between her and the 3 new elite was so yummy, I was kinda hoping for RH but I get why that couldn't work in this series and I totally agree haha. Jackson was disgusting part of the time, but flirty and fun in others. Sawyer was probably my fav (always love the nerd), and Cam was horrible most of the time but had brief glimpses of what he would later become (who I fell hook line and sinker for in book 2 and definitely book 3). I am super intrigued to see where some of these side characters go/interconnect, but more on that later.
I liked all the twists and turns in this book. So much scheming and betrayals and things you were not expecting. The two elite factions are not to be messed with, there are a lot of victims left in their wake. Again I mention this book is not for the faint of heart. There are some things that made my skin crawl (and it will only get worse as the books go on, I will warn you). The baddies in this book just keep getting worse and worse, especially Abi's father and Trent. I won't say more because I don't want to spoil anything, but be ready to hate most of the characters and want their karmic justice so badly haha. I am not sure what the TWs were, I will read through anything at this point haha but he ready for assault/trauma of all kinds from many many characters.
The ending of this book was really intense, and I am really glad I didnt start the trilogy until they were all available. I would have flipped with the cliffhangers!!
In terms of the narration, these 2 were spot-on. I think Carly did a fabulous job with all the emotions of Abi, Jane, and Rochelle (OMG don't even get me started on her hahaha). I did thinks she was overly breathy at points, but still a really good job. And Tor knocked it out of the park 🔥🔥🔥 Like his voice was liquid sex. He epitomized Cam and did a great job with the other voices. They were different enough I could tell who was who and none of the voices irked me or anything. Listened to the boxset and loved it was duet narration. 4.5 stars for the narration!!

- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2024Wow! Thus book kept my attention from page 1 and had a hard time putting it down!
Thus is a story of the most elite group of high schoolers… who grow up with all the money in the world and blossom under the control they have over other people.
Abby is the daughter of one of the original elude families. Her father is as horrific as a father can be. Her whole purpose is to breakaway from the life she lives and she’ll stop at nothing to achieve that. She meets Camden Marshall who is the leader of a new elite group. Both groups vying for power and control, but he’s also the guy she can’t see to let go of and also her bully.
There are a ton of dark undertones in this book and the writer warns you. Parts of thus book are very hard to read… you were warned. There is a ton of mystery. The book is full of spice, secrets, lies, truth, bullying. Camden has a big secret and all gets revealed but ends with a fluffy and glad the next book is ready!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another amazing start to a series by this great author.
This is the first book in the series Rydeville Elite #1 and it is absolutely gripping right from the get go. This authors writing style is amazing and I love how she writes. This book is a dark/ bully romance and is full to the brim with secrets, lies twist, turns and some shockers and is a real page turner.
Abby has and still is going through so much with a very cruel and nasty and totally controlling father I really feel for her. Yeah she's done questionable things but I think she's only done them to survive. After the death of there mum her and her twin Drew have a lot to indure with what there father expects and but Abby does not make it easy. She is very feisty and I love that about her but with an arranged marriage on the cards she will not take this lying down and she is determined to find out what all the secret and lies are. Cam is a hot guy but he also has his own agenda and a way if doing things. He is part of the new elite with Sawyer and Jackson and they cause a lot of trouble with the old elite guys Drew, Charlie and Trent and the one thing these guys do do is open up Abby's eyes to what is around her.
I really enjoyed reading this book and I loved all the characters even the secondary ones, I cant wait to see how this series progresses. Abby and Cam have some serious chemistry and the connection they have is undeniable and they cant take there eyes of each other. I was gripped with this book from the very beginning and I couldn't put it down, its a great start to the series and I cant wait to read the second book. This book ends on a cliffhanger I I desperately want to start the #2 ASAP!!If you love bully romances then this series is defiantly for you and I highly recommend this author and this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars Intrigue, mystery and one tough heroine
This book has so many twists and turns, you’re hooked right away and can’t put the book down.
It’s hard to believe that Abigail, the heroine, was going to do what she intended in the prologue. In the rest of the book, she is one tough girl who is smart, determined, loyal and fierce. She’s not perfect and know how to be vengeful too but you are rooting for her every time. She impresses throughout the book as you learn about how she strategizes. She is no weak princess in a tower waiting to be rescued unlike the males around her who thinks that she’s nothing but someone who needs to be protected.
Abigail is so amazing that no guy in the book so far is good enough for her. Character development in the subsequent books hopefully validates that Cam deserves to be with her.
There are errors in the storyline - the timing of when Abigail’s mother gets pregnant before Kaiden’s father gets married doesn’t work. All kids in K’s family should be younger than Abby.
