- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2017This is in a series, but don't worry if you haven't read the one's before. I hadn't and I had no problems following the story line or understanding how the characters worked. This is a great read if you're on the move for travel. It helps you forget the flight delays and get lost in another time. I loved Jane and Jasper and reading their story. It was a new look on the Regency era since he is the owner of a gambling Hell, but has a conscious. We watch as the two battle their own personal demons apart and then together. All it takes is trust. I can't wait to read the others in this series.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 27, 2017I love regency romances! I read the first two books in the series and liked them. This book was disappointing. The premise was mildly intriguing - childhood friends agree to a marriage of convenience - and I was looking forward to reading Jane's story. The heroine, Jane Rathbone, was not nearly as engaging as the prior books; she underwent a personality change from young, precocious, and fun to immature, insecure, and annoying. The hero, Jasper Charton, was mildly compelling - handsome and self-made, but scarred and closed off. They didn't have much chemistry and no sizzle. The storyline was contrived and predictable. Overall, a disappointment.
