I have all Mineo's work, even C-Lite stuff. As a Christian, I feel that the listener will be on one side of the fence when it comes to vocation, not both. Pay attention to what I mean: If you see Christian work as being primarily liturgical, like Shai Linne, you'll dislike this CD. If you see Christian work as being primarily missional, you will love this CD. If you've been in the church forever, you may have trouble understanding this CD.

As to the notion that this CD is not 'Christian enough,' you may have missed the track 'Love' which is one of the most artfully done heavy theological songs I've ever heard. As Mineo said, the problem is probably YOU if you hated it. The art is good, the mission is on point, the lyrics are contextual and intentionally irreligious, and I love that. Christianese didn't call the prodigal son back home, truth did. This is easily Mineo's best CD, however I obviously love other work as well. Let There Be Light, Paginini, Never Land -- Listen to these three songs before you judge. Is there any stylistic similarity between them? Absolutely not. Artists mature, they develop, they establish. Andy has obviously taken another step toward who Christ has designed him to be and throwing him under the bus because he isn't making another Sin is Wack w/high production values is making a gross error.

Production, lyricism, potency... all 5/5. Good job Andy, glad I preordered.

If you are an Andy fan, one of his best albums yet! If you are new to Christian hip hop, you won't be disappointed. This album is good, shows his skill, and is transparent. Enjoy!

Very impressive musically. The Cd as a whole has a really good feel. Andy and his team showed poise and maturity as it not too much to handle. Andy barely talks about Jesus. No focus of glorification of Jesus in the light of His finished work so I'm sure it'll be very attractive to everyone. Very honest and real in the context of the theme. If you want to hear the Gospel your not going to hear it. I personally Miss the days these brothers break down scripture to bring the believer to a higher place of edification but there's a niche of people they have to be sensitive to so dedicating a song breaking down the Good News of the Gospel may be too much for the general public to handle.

Andy has raised the bar with this release. This is album definitely represents a journey towards a new sound for him, and in a good way in my opinion. Much more melodic and full of depth and texture. Once again the lyrics are deeply meaningful, and yet with every line he keeps it clever and fresh. Andy has been one of my favorite lyricists for a while but I think you can hear some major growth and refinement with this release, especially the way he speaks of his recent marriage. Definitely looking forward to some of the videos he has planned for the singles.

I wish we had more music out there to listen to like this one. He is truly and inspiration!

Great fusion of witty hip-hop lyrics and a modern style. Just as the title of the album suggests, the lyrical content of the album is not exactly comfortable. It could be said that instead Mineo offers an insightful critique on pop culture and lifestyles through his lyrics. If one desires the club bangers from his previous works (like Saints on Heroes For Sale), they probably won't find that style on this album.

For those of you who have never heard Andy Mineo before, this album sounds like a combination between The College Dropout (with a better flow), Drake, and Soul. Enjoy.

This album is definitely Andy's best thus far! I love how he blends lyrics and beat to create an almost surreal feeling when listening to him. Every message is solid and for the most part relate-able while maintaining positive, upbeat flow for Christ. 'Uncomfortable', and it's song that boasts the same name, reminds us that Christians aren't called to live a nice, cozy life; we're called to spread the Gospel and serve our king. I really, REALLY enjoy this album and i can't wait for more from the artist! I highly recommend you give this album a look!

Solid album! Loving almost every track so far, definitely a bit more laid back than some of his previous material but very well done.
