A one-night stand, opposites attract, accidental pregnancy, small-town romance from USA Today Best Selling Author, Elena Aitken.
He's the last thing she needs. She's not his type. They can't keep their hands off each other!
With her life in shambles, the very last thing Cynthia needs in her life is a man. Especially one like Seth McBride. Sure, he's sexy as hell and the memory of what his strong hands felt like on her body keep her up at night, but that's exactly why she needs to keep her distance.
It was one time…okay…twice.
But it can never happen again.
Except now Seth can't get her out of his head, and he's almost positive Cynthia feels the connection, too.
He might even be able to get her to admit that she feels the same way, but when Cynthia discovers a truth that will rock both of their worlds, all bets are off while they try to navigate their new future.

- Reviewed in the United States on August 19, 2022SUMMIT OF SEDUCTION is a standalone book with a happy ending. There are mild sex scenes and no colorful language if that is an issue for you. The story is set at a ski mountain and lodge where Seth is the manager. The boss travels a lot so Seth does most of the running of things. Seth is a young man with quite a reputation. He is a good-looking, charming, big guy and all the ladies want a little of his action. He is usually a one-night stand kind of guy. No one has caused him to want more until he meets Cynthia.
Cynthia is a young woman with a lot on her plate. Her mother is dying from breast cancer and she is home to run her mother's shop and to help in her home care. The mother wants to pass at home so she has help that comes in during the day to help her. It is New Year's eve and Cynthia is at a party with her best friend when she and Seth have their first dance, then several after that and a few drinks and she goes home with him. She knows his reputation and she is okay this one time with a one-night stand but there is no excuse for the second one night stand. Things get busy after that.
This story is as old as time. There is a lot of drama, some very interesting side characters and of course dealing with a mother that is dying. Nala adds a lot to the story as well. It is an entertaining read with some sad parts and then some very fun parts. A good story and a good read, I definitely recommend it.
I was not paid for this review. I am not a writer nor do I know one. I am not kin to this author. I am a reader and this is my opinion, nothing more, nothing less. 8/19/2022

- Reviewed in the United States on October 15, 2015Elena Aitken has written yet another gem in The Springs series and The Summit Trilogy.
The story of Marcus and Deanna is one of pure love and devotion, yet filled with conflict, misunderstanding, and often ill-fated actions. From the beginning, the attraction between Marcus and Deanna is felt by the reader and it they are quickly drawn into their web of the past and the present.
Throughout their story, there are so many sub-stories taking place. A couple is wed, another is trying to conceive, another is working through a long distance relationship. Friendships are cemented, tested, rebuilt and strengthened.
Those who have read the books in the order they have been released, will find that many characters are brought forth once again. Some have their lives fully cemented and their is closure in their story, while others arrive again for a single purpose and the reader is again drawn in by their charismatic personality and side story.
Having read every book this author has written from very early on, as well as the Castle Mountain Lodge series (definitely not to be missed) and the crossover to The Springs, Elena's writing continually gets better and better, as do each of her novels. While I have absolutely loved each and every novel or short story she has written, it is my opinion that Summit of Passion is definitely one of the best novels she has written. (Her best novella would easily be "Love Me, Love Me Not.")
Any reader who picks up any book written by Elena Aitken will not only fall in love with the story and the characters, but will always end up feel happy, satisfied and wanting to read more...
I look forward to the next book in the series introducing us to a new family in Cedar Springs.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2022The story was pretty good until it left me hanging at the end. She could have completed the first story and introduced the second story that continues in the next book.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 20, 2022This was one of the best books I've read. Once I starting reading it I couldn't put it down. It sure kept my interest!!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 19, 2022A heartfelt story of a young woman starting a new life while nursing her mother who's life is coming to a close. Cancer is brutal! Not everyone is fortunate to conquer and survive the battle. Sadly you watch it eat away at your loved one, praying for a cure, for more time or for their suffering to end. Cynthia was fortunate to have Seth and Nala to hold her up during this journey, and to get the beginning of a happy ever after. No cheating or cliffhanger. Enjoy 🤓
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2022I loved the book, but felt as if it ended too abruptly. Don't know if it was left off by mistake, but the "Bonus Scene" should have been included in the original story instead of forcing readers to go through extra step of downloading it separately. Not everyone is tech savvy.
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2022I thoroughly enjoyed this book and how they hook up a couple of times, they have misunderstandings, find out good news and start dating, get bad news, but find love and their own family.

4.0 out of 5 stars Satisfying read
This story is very sweet. It it the story of Seth, and Cynthia. They have many issues to overcome, the story is very realistic, you can imagine it happening for real, which for me at least is very satisfying. I thought that the way everyone rallied round when Cynthia needed to be at home with her dying mother was lovely, something that does happen in small communities. It was a shame though that Linda and Suzy Crosswell, the owner of the bakery didn't settle their differences before Linda died. It was mentioned two or three times so I thought it was coming at the end, to add another later to the story.
Quite sad in places, but a satisfying read, worth 4.5 stars.
