- Reviewed in the United States on December 10, 2015I loved this book, because it was so artfully intricate with different characters with connections, but spread out world wide. The author managed to bring so many different mini storylines into one book. Each set of characters in each setting, could have been written as sea parse books. It was easy to follow the connections to the main characters, with dub plots happening with the others. It had zombies, a huge military presence, and an apocalypse that makes a regular apocalypse with just the lights going out seem tame in comparison.
I really recommend you read the first book in this series, because this book picks up right where book one left off. I am anxiously awaiting the next release, to find out what happens next. It's a really good book with great character development, great descriptions of their environment and battles, with the sub plots really skillfully interwoven into the storyline. I have read hundreds of books in this genre and this one is ranked in my top three.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 26, 2013This book picks up where the first book ended and never stops. One of the reasons I have enjoyed this book series is that it's not your typical Zombie fiction you see being published these days. In a story that covers the globe, and decades the struggle to survive and rebuild continues. I read this book in a full day just as I did the first book. There is a tremendous amount of Zombie fiction on Amazon, but many of those stories have fallen short in holding my attention. This book, as with the first, help my attention to the last page. This series has become a hit among many of my fellow Zombie loving Soldiers I serve with. The book was a fantastic read that I have enjoyed many times over. Two biggest surprises of this book were the fact that my wife loved the book, and a minor player in the book with my last name goes out in a blaze of glory.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 21, 2013I've read a lot of zombie books, but what makes this different is the sheer range of time involved. It's not just the zombie apocalypse, it's what comes years and years afterwards. Characters from the first book are still prominent, with new characters and locations introduced. I found it particularly interesting seeing how people were coping in Antarctica.
- Reviewed in the United States on February 7, 2013I first read book in this series a long time ago. I instantly was hooked - and waited, waited, and waited, for the sequel to come around. The characters were so well written that I was drawn into their struggle and emotional turmoil, and their very realistic solutions. In the second full length novel of the series, the story picks up where we were left off, inside the bunker, with both tensions and curiosity rising with every passing year spent in an underground seclusion, a beacon of hope comes in the form of contact. Contact with other living, breathing, struggling human beings. The hitch - these living, breathing human beings are located in the seemingly most unattainable place possible - Antarctica. Another very well-written follow up to the first book, I cannot recommend this book more. Please read.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 1, 2015I bought "Interval" along with "The Walker Chronicles" many months ago, after falling in love with "end". I read "The Walker Chronicles" right away....Fantastic!!!
"Interval" though, I waited to read. I would look at it once in a while, then pick another book.
The anticipation was so much fun! I treated the book like that special Christmas present under the tree. (The one you beg mom for constantly.)
I had a good idea what was in the box, already getting two others a lot like it and loving those. I wasn't sure what color it was or if it is the one I saw at the store. I just KNEW that I would love it no matter what. So I keep peeking at the present waiting for the magical day to see WHAT IT IS EXACTLY. I even prepare for Christmas Day by rereading the last few chapters of "End" to get myself reacquainted with the storyline. Then I opened up my present on Christmas Day only putting my iPad down when I had to. Now that I am finished with "Interval" all I can say is...NEXT!!!!!!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2013This book was well written. It shows the human nature of people who have alot of unknowns to look forward to. I would say to anyone READ THIS SERIES IT IS WORTH EVERY CENT! Cannot wait for the third installment
- Reviewed in the United States on February 20, 2015I have really enjoyed this book series and am looking forward to the next one. This book just gets better as you go and I had a hard time putting it down at the end!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 9, 2013This author is one I can't get enough of! I've been a zombie book fan since the genre started and this author is one of the best! I've read all his zombie books and am always looking for him to come out with more but just takes him awhile lol. Anyways this is part 3 so read the first 2 and you won't be sorry, the plot , character development and originality are on par with the best! Hope this helps my fellow zombie book fans out there!

I got hooked. I read the first book "End" (it's free grab it!)
And as I hit the last word on the last page I was in the process of grabbing this one.
I read through this on a few days. I'm sorry I was that guy at the airport face buried either in my phone or iPad mini reading this at the baggage check in, at the gate checkin, while boarding. I did not mean to be antisocial and not talk to the chap in seat 16f next to me. BUT this book was that damn good.
If you want your hero to be a warm il always turn the other cheek kinda guy then this guy ain't for you. This is the jack bouer of this book. Zombie or bad guy this guy will take you out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great read
Absolutely love this book can't wait for next one. Not your usual zombie book were only the good people live to see another day. Really gets in to how the world just falls apart and how it brings the worst and best in people under the pressure. This book is about the years after z day and how they cope cooped up in the bunkers.
