Today is the first release of my new project, In Other Words, which will consist of four separate EP releases this year. Each release will have its own feel based on a set series of albums that have had a super influential effect on me. To make the music I recorded some friends of mine (Dessa, Aby Wolf, Jessie Daley) singing some vocal lines that I then manipulated and recorded my friend Nate Kinsella playing some drum tracks. Oh man you guys, it makes me so happy to be putting out new solo stuff. It’s been a minute. OK, talk to you soon.

The last 5 years I've rolled around in what I call Doomtree creative silk sonic hugs, I've been inspired to produce, mix and sometimes driven to emotional tears at how amazing their music is. "Dear echo" is no exception. The moment Cecil throws down the female vocal sample in 'Beauty' is perfect. I actually get lumps in my throat sometimes when I listen. Real poetry and music created for true feeling, not just to hit the charts. When I discuss music and people use "rap" to describe the deteriorating popular music scene, I correct them with music like this. Jonathan Malkin
