Such a great adventure! Every time a new book in this universe comes out I am so psyched to read it! I dream of jumping on board the Conquest and seeing the stars. It’s like these characters have become good friends! I get to join Jason, Saera, Wil, Raena and the rest of the wonderful cast of characters! Now to speak about Amy Duboff’s writing; it’s just off the charts great! Her world building is absolutely astonishing, I think she does this better than a lot of big name authors. This world is so fleshed out that by the time you get to this point you feel right at home; like this is your world too! The character development is done with a deft wordsmiths hand, I can always tell when I’m reading DuBoff, her writing has a flair and flavor all it’s own! The attention to detail is just right, making you feel as if you’re there. It just keeps getting better and better with each book! You really don’t want to miss this one!!

Just finished Empire Uprising. Wow! AK DuBoff has shown once again how she has earned the moniker of Queen of Space Opera. As is her norm, she has masterfully woven together seemingly disparate characters and elements into a meaningful and riveting story.
Continuing where Empire Reborn leaves off, Uprising carries on with the sagas of Lexi, Kira, and the Sietinen family in their respective quests to uncover the horrifying realities of missing friends and sinister insurrections that threaten the very existence of the Taran Empire, in addition to the formidable threat posed by the Erebus.
It seamlessly combines political intrigue, science, and even ancient Earth archaeology with the loyalty, compassion, and support needed to persist in their tasks.
I highly recommend this book as a follow up to Reborn. Very much looking forward to the next book.

Amy has done it again! This is a great book which keeps you nailed to your seat. The universe (Taran) develops and has to deal with more and more challenges. Amy, as we are used from her, describes the unfolding story in such a way that waiting for the next book will feel like a decade. Well done Amy. I love it!!!

I have read many reviews and they never really revved me about the book. Explained, yes. Should have had spoiler alerts, yes should have. This is my review, you really need to read this. Why you ask, well I will tell. Wil and Saera are involved more in this story and it looks like Wil may be involved in the upcoming events more than he wants. Wil and Aesirs are in a pissing match about how to do stuff, plenty of stress and strain here. That energy core the Erebus gave Wil, think Trojan Horse. Also, a meeting Wil had with Celine, head of the Monsari Dynasty, maker of the current power core which may or may not have a supply problem didn’t go well. She basically told Wil to get out and then she attempted something very unfriendly, if you ask me, while he was leaving. Me thinks something is afoot with Celine and the Monsari Dynasty.
The Coalition is up to no good in fact Jason had to go and bring out Kira, Leon, and Lexi. Just as Jason got there everything went sideways. The Coalition kidnapped Leon to work on a very very bad experiment. Kira Lexi barely escaped with their lives. Lexi has some scary telekinetic powers and she is not fully trained. Coalition left a very nasty going away present for the planet they had just left which made the extraction a little more scary.
Jason is developing into a strong leader and a brave and honorable man. In fact Jason leads the rescue operation to get Leon. Kira goes because Leon is her main squeeze plus she has some awesome powers herself. Lexi goes because she won’t take no for an answer.
When Jason and his team arrive to rescue Leon, Leon and the other kidnapped scientist are just about to start this really bad experiment, This experiment is as bad, if not worse, than crossing the streams in Ghost Busters. When they rescue Leon he tell them they need to get to hell out of there. They just escape with Leon and then experiment really goes terribly wrong. Heartbreakingly wrong, it does not bode well for the galaxy.
Wil is starting to realize that the Alliance is backing the Coalition but he does not know who’s backing the Alliance
It appears to me that the TSS is heading towards a showdown with the Coalition, the Alliance, and the Erebus and may be alone if fences can’t be.mended with the Aesir. I don’t know but I am afraid , the way Jason’s character is developing and how events are developing, he may have to a make terrible decision like his dad had to during his war. Just a guess on my part.
The TSS is some startling discoveries on earth which explains why the earth had to be guarded by the Tarans
Oh by the way at end of this book Jason and Lexi discover that they really like each other.
Empire Uprising is an exciting story and I just explained why you need to read it.

I liked this as the rebellion and the threat of the Erebus grows. This really could be a Netflix series.
