1 Hot Cop + 1 Bad Girl = 1 sexy opposites-attract STAND-ALONE romance from USA Today bestselling author Tia Louise.

“Kiss me…
You’re too law-abiding for me.
What makes you say that?
That uniform. Those handcuffs.
Maybe I should put you in handcuffs.
Maybe I’d like to see you try…”

Chad Tucker:
Retired military.
Deputy sheriff.
Hero.

Tabby Green:
Preacher’s niece.
Website designer.
Bad Girl.

He’s a hot cop with a square jaw, a sexy grin, and a tight end.
I’m a bad girl, a “Jezebel”—just ask all the old biddies in town.
We’re oil and vinegar. We don’t mix.
But when we kiss…

She’s got flashing green eyes, red-velvet lips, and luscious curves in all the right places.
She’s a bad girl all right, and after what I’ve lost, I’m not looking for trouble.
But when we kiss…
Oil and vinegar DO mix, And when they do,
it’s electric.

(A STAND-ALONE, opposites-attract romance about heroes, bad girls, and what happens when you stop fighting and surrender to love. NO Cheating; NO Cliffhangers.)

“Swoon worthy. Hot. Steamy. Addictive. Tabby is a fierce heroine, and Chad is a dream hero…” –Leddy Harper, Amazon bestselling author

LOVED IT!!
5 out of 5 stars
LOVED IT!!
~WRITING - PLOT - PACE~This book was just so very sweet. I adored (almost) every little thing about it. It was well written. It was well paced, and I was never bored or felt the need to skim. The plot was entertaining. It was humorous. It was sweet. It was sexy. Last, it was all wrapped up in a lovely little bow of an epilogue.~HERO~CHAD...What can I say about Chad? He was pretty much a perfect book boyfriend. An ex-military man turned small town cop. He was sexy as sin. He was sweet but knew when to be a bad boy. He had the patience of a saint, and he was all about Tabby. What more could you ask for?~HEROINE~TABBY...I probably would have given this book 5-Stars if it hadn't been for Tabby. For the most part, I liked her character a lot. She was feisty. She was sassy. She was funny. She was a good friend. That said, she just kind of grated on my nerves a wee bit when it came to some of her interactions with Chad, and how every time her Uncle said anything to her she overreacted. It was just a tiny niggle though and didn't affect the way I felt about the story overall.~SECONDARY CHARACTERS~This book had SO many excellent secondary characters. I really want to read more about Emberly and Coco. I guess this book takes place before her and Jackson's book WHEN WE TOUCH since she is all on her own in this one. I also got a kick out of Jimmy (a bad boy in the making?), and I would love to hear more about André. I even felt a bit sorry for Daisy (although as a heroine might be a hard sell unless she didn't actually sleep with Tabby's ex).~HEAT LEVEL~High. There were quite a few sex scenes in this one and they were suitable smokin'. Nothing too kinky though, just handcuffs.~ANGST LEVEL - SEXUAL HISTORIES~LOW. This wasn't a particularly angsty read. The couple had a few ups and downs, but nothing over the top. Like I mentioned above, it was a pretty sweet and easy peasy type of read. Somewhat insta (although they meet and don't start dating until a year passes). Neither were virgins (thank god). There really wasn't much mention of the hero's sexual past. He didn't come off like a player, nor was it mentioned if he had slept with any other women in the year between meeting the heroine and starting to date her. It was MY impression that he hadn't since he mentions he was taking the time to get his life together. Same goes for the heroine. There wasn't any OW or OM drama either.~IN THE END~Did I enjoy it? YES!Was it perfect? Pretty damn close.Would I recommend it? Yes.What type of readers would enjoy this book? I think this one would perfect for those that like their romances sweet and drama free. As well as those that like their heroes charming and their heroines sassy. This one gets two HUGE thumbs up from yours truly.

When We Kiss made me feel so good. I was entertained and deeply engrossed in Tabby and Deputy Chad Tucker’s story. All thanks to Tia Louise and her flawless and captivating storytelling.
The first chapter sets the tone. Bam! I was hooked. Tabby and Chad’s connection and chemistry popped or should I say sparks flew everywhere. I felt it down to my toes. These two characters are so much fun and complements each other perfectly.

Tabby is a woman who doesn’t give a damn and if she does she tries to hide it. She’s a rebellious woman and I enjoyed that about her but also that she could admit to her faults.
The only family she has besides her Uncle ,who’s a preacher, is her best friend Emberly and her daughter Coco. These three girls are family. Their love and support was beautiful. I’d already read Emberly’s book When We Touch so I knew of their friendship but for some reason I got a deeper connection in this book. These girls rock.

Deputy Chad Tucker. Swoon alert! Damn that mine was fine. More than fine. Such a kind, sweet man with good heart and a dirty mouth in bed. Yummy and Tabby approved too. I enjoyed his life story and why he chose to move to Oceanside. He doesn’t want to change Tabby because of some of her inappropriate choices but lets her be her. The fabulous and outspoken Tabby.

They come together and magic happens. Whether they just talked or were making eyes at each other I felt it. I just needed them around each other all the time because of their chemistry but also because they’re so much fun. I had fun with Tabby and Chad. My heart also hurt for them.
The author Tia Louise didn’t throw any unnecessary drama their way but let these two wonderful characters shine and focused on them. Where the magic was.
The epilogue was just icing on this delicious and incredible cake. Talk about a book that made me feel everything and left me so content. That’s why I read.

If you're looking for a small town romance then When We Kiss is the perfect book for you! Tabby and Chad's first encounter is one Tabby would like to forget, and Chad can't seem to get off his mind. These two are complete opposites. Tabby is known as the "bad girl" in town, never really going with the flow, speaking her mind, and pushing things to the limit. Chad on the other hand is the towns new Sheriff's Deputy and the "good guy". These two are on paper complete opposites and should stay far, far away from one another, but when Chad gets his chance to pursue Tabby he takes it, and Tabby just can't seem to say no.What I really enjoyed about this story, was Chad's relentless pursuit of Tabby and trying to show her that he really did care, but how he would back off when he knew it was too much. He wanted her and did not care at all about what the townies thought about her. He supported her in what she wanted to do, and showed her that he wasn't this clean-cut guy that everyone seemed to think he was. Tabby also impressed me in this book as well. She has this "I don't care" attitude, and she truly lives the life she wants. She doesn't let the town standards determine how she should live her life, and I loved this about her.Watching this relationship between Chad and Tabby grow, and go through it's bumps, was an enjoyable ride, and one I finished in one sitting. Tia Louise has a way of writing a book that you just can't seem to put down. I truly enjoyed this opposites attract romance, and the only thing I wish there was more of, was a longer ending for these two. I did enjoy the epilogue but I wished there was just a bit more!

Tia Louise has captured ALL my favorite romance elements, packaged them up, and titled it When We Kiss. I’m crazy about this swoony small-town romance! This author knows how to reach in and hit the feels button. Once I started, there was no stopping. I devoured each scene like the most delicious meal, until every bite was enjoyed. I’m left soaring on a euphoric high, totally satisfied.

Where are all the hot cops in my town? For real. I’d love for Deputy Tucker to check in on my shop each day. Chad is the standard for all-American, good guy hero. He is sweet, dedicated, respectful, loyal, extremely good looking, and very well hung. Get ready to meet Andy! I love how patient Chad is with Tabby, never giving up on what he wants. He has it all.

Tabby is very relatable to me. She’s real and honest and isn’t afraid to speak her mind. I love her wild streak that’s just the right amount of reckless. Tabby tips the scale with sassy flare and I want to be her bestie. She’s ready to prove everyone who’s ever doubted wrong, and does a dang good job of it. She’s driven and focused and isn’t planning to let anything get in her way.

Chad and Tabby are incineration personified. Whenever they’re in the same room, electrical current surges between them and sets the scene on fire. The build-up was fantastic and perfectly played. Their dynamic kept me enthralled and devoted to the journey. I couldn’t wait to find out how everything was resolved.

Page after page, I was sucked deeper into this whimsical tale. From pesky Betty Pepper to the high-top cliffs, I love the town of Oceanside. Tia created a phenomenal place for this bunch of vibrant characters. She’s one of my favorite authors and somehow keeps getting better. I hope everyone reads When We Kiss!

5.0 out of 5 stars Tabby — bad girl? or just a bit rebellious...
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on June 26, 2023
Tabby isn't really 'bad', she's just rebelling against her pastor uncle — the situation. Still, it makes it awkward with her adopted wild child persona to even think of going after the (extremely dishy) deputy sheriff. It's sort of one of those things that probably won't work... but maybe, Chad, the deputy, has ideas of his own. Tabby is Emberley's best friend (When we touch) and it's great seeing her and Coco again, but this is a standalone. I did not much care for Chad's mother... (Loved the scene in the restaurant!) These poor characters have all been blessed with such difficult parents!

I liked how it started! That was so fun!

This was also a bit different than I thought it would go. She isn't bad, bad but like a bit naughty? She is a little rebel sassy one!

I liked the small community also because it does have two sides a good one and bad. Everyone knows everyone and they all know everything about everyone!

Chad is a very good person who has a mmm that's not the nicest. That's what I felt from her.

Thank you for recommending this one!!

4.0 out of 5 stars A completely satisfying read

I really enjoyed this book. I thought the two main characters, Chad and Tabby, were really well rounded and were very likeable. I also liked the world this author has created which was charming, and there are a few other characters within the book which I felt really added to the story without distracting from it.

This is part of a series but is a complete story. There is a second book in the series, which I definitely intend to read.

4.0 out of 5 stars Chad was one HOT cop
Reviewed in Australia on May 26, 2019
I thoroughly enjoyed this fun sexy read. Hot cop/ex marine Chad well and truely delivers in the bedroom and sassy Tabby is more than happy to go along with the ride. I would have liked more romance at the beginning as it did feel like Chad was just stopping by for a booty call. But all’s well that ends well.

3.0 out of 5 stars Ok, but...
Reviewed in Canada on September 17, 2020
I first read Emberley and Jaskson’s story, then moved onto Chad and Tabby’s. As a whole I liked all the characters but I found it annoying and distracting trying to piece the timelines of the two together. They didn’t match up at all. I’d read something that connected to the first book but it didn’t line up time wise to this book. It really really bugged me. Enough that it took away from the story and lost a star or two for me. Too bad cause Chad was totally hot. ;) it felt like the author lost their notes on the first one and just winged it. Then crammed a bunch of the first book details into the last two paragraphs.
