The Vigilante Vignette: A Southern Humorous Halloween Caper (A Cherry Tucker Mystery Book 5) Kindle Edition
Who's robbing the rich men of Halo, Georgia? Catwoman's on the prowl and amateur sleuth Cherry Tucker's on the case. From Wall Street Journal bestselling mystery author, Larissa Reinhart, another country-fried novella in the sassy and Southern award-winning Cherry Tucker Cozy Mystery series.
"Readers who like a little small-town charm with their mysteries will enjoy Reinhart's series.” — Denise Swanson, New York Times bestselling author of the Scumble River and Devereaux's Dime Store mysteries.
For portrait artist and amateur sleuth Cherry Tucker, celebrating Halloween usually means earning extra cash with her unique costumes. But when she makes a mercy call on a neighbor, she's roped into a quid pro quo deal: if Cherry recovers a family heirloom stolen at a party, the neighbor will use his clout to help her with some zoning issues. If she fails, the expression "someone's got her goat" will take on a whole new meaning.
While Cherry's on the cat burglar case, a mystery man is stalking her. It's hard to know who's the hero and who's the villain when everyone is wearing capes. And if Cherry doesn't figure it out soon, it won't just be Tater the goat who's homeless. If she's not careful, Cherry could lose her heart and her life in a madcap race for a priceless treasure.
“Cherry Tucker can get herself into the worst predicaments without even trying. Larissa Reinhart's story is my favourite, full of mystery and superheroes! What more do we need at Halloween night?” — Varietats
“This author knows how to make me laugh! Larissa Reinhart also knows how to flesh out her characters to a degree that I could swear I know them personally, from the two hunky men in Cherry's life to the mysterious, probably dangerous, but altogether lovable Eastern European ex-gangster (we presume). It was so much fun to read, I was really wishing it was longer.” — Riverlizzie Reviews

- Reviewed in the United States on April 30, 2019This is the last book in the series and I hate to see it end. I have enjoyed every one and think the writing has improved with each new book. My only complaint with this book is that, unlike the others, it did not follow through with events in the previous book. There were several things about to happen at the end of the previous story which are not even mentioned. It's Like they never happened. Luke asked Cherry to marry him! What happened with that? (I am near the end but not totally finished so I guess there's still hope.)
- Reviewed in the United States on July 5, 2017Good twist. The jealousy was a good part of the story. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes a good mystery.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 2, 2017I just love Cherry Tucker & company! All poor Cherry wants is to paint & be with BF Luke. Unfortunately this is never very easy. I found myself laughing at every turn at the predicaments she gets herself into as she searches for a stolen "family heirloom"! I couldn't help but be drawn in to this short but very sweet mystery. Can't wait for the next full length novel!!

- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2020Cherry Tucker is up to her old tricks in a new way! Attending a Halloween party as MonaLisa, she meets a member of the community who asks Cherry to solve the disappearance of a family heirloom. The adventures of this person is a delight!

5.0 out of 5 stars A shorter story, but high quality
The comedy is insane and the Mystery is hilarious. Sometimes you don't want to spend a whole weekend reading one story you want to get to the end and this one was a lot of fun!
