This is an excellent album! I came into it hoping for more heavy tracks, but knowing that they parted ways with Zach (and Jimmy) back in December I wasn't sure what to expect. What I got was a very polished and mature progression of the band which I'm actually very pleasantly surprised with. Every track offers something to latch onto with stand out track for me being "Break", "Running with Scissors", and "Yellow King". Honestly, the only song that really has had to grow on me was "All In"... but it has. Devin's vocals have only gotten better over time and the strength of the production on the album accentuates that as well. In summary, an unexpected album direction that really paid off even if I do have to look elsewhere a bit for my heavier inclinations. Get it!

I loved Digital Renegade and New Demons. Devin's voice is absolutely stunning. After letting there screamer and one of their guitarists go, they are still heavy hitting, but have developed a strong sound. Mixing detuned guitars with electronic music has made some very sick breakdowns. There are more vocals than screams and I think it suits them. Devin mixes in some screams that are reminiscent of how the old screamer would scream. I've seen them live and they sound exactly the same on stage as they do on the album. Definitely one of the better albums of 2016.

I see stars really blew my expectations out of the water. I've been a fan of their music for a long time and I was a little skeptical after they fired their original screamer/keyboardist, but they went in the perfect direction for the band. From front to end its an atmospheric wonderland of sonic mastery. I highly recommend this alb to both long Tim ISS fans and newcomers alike!

A shame you guys lost Zack. However Devin is doing awesome screaming! The only thing is that i wish there was more screaming. This album is definitely less heavy but there isnt a single song that i dislike. Overall i still love it but wish there were more songs as heavy as Portals. Seeing some of it live in VA beach for Warped tour is gunna be sweet.

These guys have grown up a bit since their first album and you hear proof of that on this one, it's good!

5.0 out of 5 stars Absolutely outstanding musical experience!

First time hearing this band and has become one of my favourite albums of all time. Moving away from their hardcore style to electronica fused with rock, there are so many clashes of sounds as one moment we have a nice harmony of light tones followed by deep dark sounds all the while complimented beautifully by the vocals. Never heard anything like this album! Great to listen to in the background, even better when you have listened to it a few times and really start to analyse further and find how all the sounds come together. Can't recommend this enough for anyone who loves electronica/rock/detailed music choreography.

Love this album! He sings a lot more but still has some great screaming moments. Music is different in each song, great variety.

5.0 out of 5 stars Treehouse Demons

3 Jahre sind seit "New Demons" ins Land gegangen.

5.0 out of 5 stars I See Stars
Reviewed in Japan on August 14, 2016
