From the Inside Flap
Sam locks eyes with me, grinning. "Luke's always had a thing for Faye, but he's harmless really. And it's not like you've got anything to worry about."
I pull two beers from the refrigerator, tossing one to him. "Faye knows I'm the jealous type. Can't help it even if I trust her more than I've ever trusted anyone."
"Don't be jealous." She circles her arms around my waist from behind. "No one else could ever compare to you."
Just like that, my sour mood disappears. Rachel makes a gagging sound from behind, and I turn us as one, grinning like a fool.
She mock pouts, reaching for her drink. "I'm surrounded by lovesick couples. It's disgusting, and it's turning my stomach."
"Well, if you're looking for a little action, the rest of my brothers arrive next week." I send her a suggestive wink while Faye slaps the back of my head. "Ow." I rub the sore spot. "What was that for?"
"Don't be encouraging that."
Rach and I both turn dirty looks on Faye, and she holds up her hands.
"Are you insinuating my brothers aren't good enough for your best friend?" I quirk a brow.
"Are you insinuating I'm not good enough for your cousins?" Rachel plants her hands on her hips, leveling a slightly hurt look at her friend.
"I'm not insinuating anything of the sort, and there's no need to look so hurt. I couldn't care less if you hooked up with any of my cousins. It's just, I thought you were anti-men these days, and if you want to avoid complications, you should definitely steer clear."

- Reviewed in the United States on September 2, 2017The Kennedys are going to Ireland! Ky and Faye spend three weeks there on their own, and then the rest of the family joins them after that. Those first three weeks are a blissful, contented time for them. They make their own memories in Faye's home, which help her in dealing with the many memories that haunt her as she misses her parents. I LOVED when she brought Ky to her parents graves. He introduced himself to them, giving a very touching speech and ending it with “I will love her, protect her, and support her for the rest of my days. I give you my solemn promise.” It was so beautiful and so romantic!! Kyler is such a romantic guy! Who would have thought that when I first started this series with Finding Kyler, he would turn out to be a romantic?! “I will always be here for you. No matter what. My world would cease to exist if you weren’t in it, and that’s not something I’ll ever consider. I’m going to propose to you one day, Faye.” I kiss the back of her hand. “I want marriage, kids, everything, with you.” *sigh*
Anyway, I know this isn't ONLY about Ky and Faye!! So, now they go to the airport to meet the family. "Alex is leading the posse as they step out through the sliding doors, and, honestly, it’s like watching a trailer for the latest hot boys’ movie. A quiet hush settles over the place as my cousins saunter toward the exit like bona fide movie stars." The Kennedy Boys are in Ireland!!!
Well, as you can imagine, the first thing the boys do is go to a party! In fact, they go to a number of parties. And these Kennedy Boys really like to stir up a lot of trouble! Kennedy Boys gone wild!! That's all I'm gonna say!! Oh, and Faye is definitely related...she's quite a spitfire herself!!!
This book is packed full of Kennedy adventures that you won't want to miss!!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 31, 2017The Irish Getaway is the Kennedy's summer vacation!! It must be read after you've read the first 3 books in this series. It is a novella, but without knowledge of the previous three books, this book will be so confusing to a reader. Plus it has a lot of bonus content that can't be truly enjoyed without the background from books 1thru 3.
Faye and Kyler start the story off in Ireland by themselves, which I really enjoyed. I love this couple so much. They've been through hell and back (many times) so it was nice seeing them finally enjoying life, together.
I really enjoyed the first meeting between Faye and her grandparents - it was just really sweet. Watching Kaye interact with her step-sister Whitney was interesting also and I hope we may see more of Whitney in a future book.
One thing I really enjoyed was seeing all of the Kennedys in one place. I felt like we got to know Keanu, Kev, Kent and Kade a little bit more too. I know it sounds like a lot of characters are in this series (and there are) but it's not too overwhelming or confusing, which says a lot about Siobhan's writing.
Siobhan did a great job of giving us a follow up to Faye and Ky along with tid bits of what we could expect from the other Kennedy boys in the future. The bonus content was a nice addition and gave us different insights to scenes from previous books along with hints at two future books!
I highly recommend reading this after reading the first 3 books.
- Reviewed in the United States on December 9, 2023Typically novellas can be hit or miss for me depending on the couples included/especially if they are continuations of stories. This one was the perfect amount of happily ever after with the main couple - while giving glimpses for future stories! LOVE the cast of characters so much!!!
The Kennedy family has so much drama, angst and stories to share! Siobhan knows how to suck you in and completely have you staying up way too late to find out what happens!
This was the perfect segue into Kalvin’s book! I am READY!!! Definitely read books 1-3 first…trust me 😜
- Reviewed in the United States on July 2, 2018This is a novella about Faye and Ky and their trip to Ireland where Faye is from originally. It is the novella 3.5 to be exact so go read the first 3 books to be caught up in this series. You will be able to speed read these books because they are just that good.
It is Ky's first time in Ireland and Faye gets to show him around since she grew up here. They got there 3 weeks early to spend some time alone and then following that Ky's family comes to spend time with them. This is a dual POV. So you get both sides Ky and Faye's perspective.
There are several quotes I love from this story. This series is just so amazing. I love Ky and Faye and their love for each other. They were just meant to be. All the struggles that they went through was just worth reading this series. I love all the Kennedy Boys. I really cannot get enough of these books.I just need to read them all. Such an amazing series.
Quotes:
“I’ve had you on the stairs, in the shower, on the kitchen counter, on the couch, against the wall outside, in your—”
We’re puke-inducing, I know that, but I couldn’t care less.
How the hell am I going to resist a taste when I’m already primed to explode and she’s just set foot in the door?
- Reviewed in the United States on September 8, 2017When an author writes too much books in series, they get boring and that happened with the Irish Getaway. Pretty boring book, just wanted to read it while waiting for "Saving Brad".

5.0 out of 5 stars Really cool to see so much development in the overall Kennedy Boys story!
It was really cool to see so much development in the overall Kennedy Boys story. On the one hand, we got to see Faye and Kyler finally settle into their own romance, plus we got glimpses of issues that makes this book a bridge between the last couple’s story into the following ones. It’s like a whole book of deleted scenes we get to discover before delving into another Kennedy Boys romance! I received this book as an Advance Reader Copy in exchange for an honest review.

5.0 out of 5 stars Another Amazing Book by Siobhan Davis!
The Irish Getaway by Siobhan Davis is book 3.5 of the Kennedy Boys series and it ideally should be read after the first three books of the series; Finding Kyler, Losing Kyler and Keeping Kyler.
“I love him as deeply as he loves me, and I know, without a shadow of a doubt, that he’s my forever.” - Faye
Yet again, Siobhan has created another addictive story that had me experiencing so many emotions as I read about Faye, Kyler and their families growing closer and showing their love for each other. The Irish Getaway was brilliant and I loved it from start to finish. Plenty of ‘Kennedy drama’ and laugh out loud moments. Throw into the mix moments that have you smiling, wanting to turn on the fan to cool down or trying to hold back the tears, and you have the perfect combination for a story that will remain with you for days after. There wasn't one thing that I didn't love about this book and I'm so glad that Siobhan has written it. Thank you, Siobhan!
“I was just thinking how gorgeous you are, inside and out, without even trying. And how lucky I am to have you in my life.” - Kyler
I feel the trip to Ireland allowed Faye to continue healing after the death of her parents. Having Kyler there helped her immensely as he gives her the love, strength and understanding she needs. You can see that Faye and Kyler have grown as a couple and that their relationship is going from strength to strength. I think it was important for the couple to take this journey and having their families join them made it even more special. Faye gets to spend time with the new people in her life and this is a great gift for her after everything she's gone through.
“As long as you are in my life, I’ll always be happy, and I’ll always know where home is, because it’s wherever you are.” - Faye
The descriptions of Ireland that Siobhan uses are so visual and it felt like I was there. Despite living the UK, I've not yet visited Ireland but I want to even more now and when I do finally visit, I'll hopefully get to see some of the amazing places Siobhan describes. I loved seeing Faye back on her ‘home turf’ and with her two best friends who she's clearly still very close to even though she now has a life in the US. All of Kyler’s brothers join him in Ireland and Siobhan shows perfectly what each of their roles are within the family. All the brothers are special and the women they'll eventually fall in love with are very lucky.
“On countless occasions, I’ve wondered if I told my parents enough that I loved them. If they died knowing how much they meant to me. From now on, I’m not going to shy away from telling the people I love how I feel about them.” - Faye
Next in the Kennedy Boys series is Loving Kalvin, book 4, which is out now and then it's Saving Brad, book 5. You can find teasers for both at the end of The Irish Getaway along with a couple of extra treats.
* I voluntarily reviewed an advance complimentary copy of The Irish Getaway and all opinions are my own

5.0 out of 5 stars The best book I’ve read in a long time
I love the way Siobhan Davis writes. She seems to create characters and situations that have you truly invested from the beginning till the end. You become so invested in their lives that I cannot put her books down until I’ve finished .
I’m an avid reader and she’s the best storyteller I have read in a long time. I highly recommend her books to anyone who loves, adventure, excitement, romance with incredible meaning behind the plots

4.0 out of 5 stars Definitely filled in some gaps
A Kennedy Boys optional Novel was a definite must read for me.
Definitely 'puke inducing' but very addictive.
Can't beat abit of matchmaking, they do make a cute couple, shame about the distance.
Seriously what is Whitneys problem with Faye. Is it jealousy or something else. Girl loves getting in trouble.
