Editorial Reviews
3 Ring Circus: Live at the Palace-October 21, 1995 catches the trio of late frontman/guitarist/songwriter Bradley Nowell, bassist Eric Wilson and drummer Bud Gaugh in top form before a packed house at the legendary Palace in Hollywood, CA. Sublime tears through 27 songs, including their hits 'Date Rape,' 'Badfish,' and '40 Oz To Freedom,' as well as covers of classic songs that reflect the band's broad stylistic range of influences ('54-46 Was My Number' by Toots & the Maytals, 'House of Suffering' by Bad Brains and the Grateful Dead's 'Scarlet Begonias'). More than 78 minutes of the band's performance and on-stage antics are on full display in a sold-out setting, with remastered and remixed multi-source live audio culled from the original master tapes.
This deluxe package includes Sublime's first official full-length concert video featuring the Palace performance newly edited using the Rock-Steadi-Cam Hi8 video and recently discovered 16mm and Super 8 film footage, the original Rock-Steadi-Cam Hi8 Palace concert video (unedited), an exclusive poster and laminated backstage pass housed in an eco-friendly 8-panel softpak, as well as an additional bonus DVD concert video of Sublime live at the Las Palmas theater (from February 17, 1995).

- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2013I been down with the live Sublime stylee since I first heard Stand by your Van. 3 Ring Circus adds to all of what sublime has to offer in a high quality bootleg addition audio and dvd experience extravaganza. Don't take my word for it but I started to really get into this album from start to finish. The video footage adds an extra spark in it's own manageable way down the road at the Palace and another way live at the Las Palmas Theater. It is fun to hear songs played in ways you never heard them before played. Some really stand out song for me were 40oz.to freedom, badfish, 54-46 was my number and a almost unfinished version of foolish fool! 5 stars for being cool and bright.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2013I been a sublime fan since 40 oz to freedom was playing on the radio in 1995 when i was 13. This is a great piece of history here if you love sublime and wanna see them perform this is it. Ive heard storys about these guys live and this is as close to the experience you will ever get. The recording is great and my favorite part is when Brad stopped playing and told the dude in the audience to 'put the fish back in the water" just goes to show the rumours are true Brad was a good dude. Get the 3 disc while you can I saw it for $25.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 25, 2013This is an exceptional album overall, the quality is great for a live performance, and its an awesome playlist although there's no santaria, what I got, wrong way, or April 29, 1992 (Miami) due to Bradley's untimely death before the release of the self titled Sublime album. But its still one of the best live performance albums I've ever heard.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2013First off... I bought the edited version. Whoops! Oh well, still the best CD I have heard in oh say 10 years. ;) I am in heaven with my Sublime. Great quality for a live recording.
First review. Now I live forever!
RIP Bradley!
- Reviewed in the United States on March 20, 2015I recently purchased this sublime cd and like most of it. Now, to be honest, I had heard a majority of the tracks via the bootlegs online, so none of it was really a surprise to me.
But what I have to know, what happened to the last track? It seems like throughout the concert, it's being recorded via a soundboard, and then at the last point of the show, whoever mixed it, grabbed a video someone recorded, and threw you inside the crowd. You can hardly hear what Bradley is saying at the end of the show.
But for the most part I like it, and if you're a sublime fan like me, you will find something on this album.
If you're a mainstream fan, you may want to just check out the self-titled cd.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2013This is a sublime must! I have had this on VHS for about 10 plus years and the sound and video quality is so much better. If you are a sublime fan like I am this is for you

- Reviewed in the United States on August 22, 2013It is nice to hear something new. CD package is a little large to carry in your car door slot, though.

4.0 out of 5 stars Ist schon fett...
