Another exciting story in John Mefford's Redemption series! This story has Ozzie and Ivy trying to find a young woman, in doing so they become involved with drug dealers, a psychiatrist, and a cemetery at an 'insane' facility of old! The characters are so well written you feel like you are watching a movie! The plot starts one way, then as others become involved, they are searching for another person and someone who murdered a woman ten years ago , then raped her 13 year old sister while telling her exactly what happened to her big sister!
I received an ARC of this story from the author, enabling an amazing read of which I can now review!
Each story in this series is seriously wonderful reading, and I implore those who love suspense, a little romance and people who strive to do what is right to delve into these books!! You will be very happy you did!!

Ozzie is back and joined by Ivy. They are working to find a missing child, but she is in her twenties and has a life time of family baggage. During their case more of the lives and relationships develop. We see a friendship booming between Oz and Ivy but we also get to see the dynamics at play with Poppy, Tito, Sean, Brooke and others.

The case seems to be just one, but it turns into one big case with three to four moving pieces that all intertwine. Oz and Ivy are both injured during the case, but it helps build the heroic and tough P.I. persona. The conversations are witty and the sarcasm is prevalent. I enjoy this series and characters! Per usual the last few lines create a cliffhanger esq background for the next book...this time with Brooke leading the charge!

Here we go again. Another unbelievable installment in the Redemption Thriller series. Ozzie, Mackenzie, Brook and Tito are at it again only this time the case concerns dead and/or missing girls. Quite a surprise this time as he teams up with Ivy in a joint PI operation throughout the whole book. Again Ozzie gets involved with really bad people on one hand, and total insanity on the other hand. It may not sound like it, but this series is really, really fun. You actually could jump into this book an independent story, since it has a beginning, middle and satisfactory ending, but you would really be cheating yourself of an incredible saga. I believe this is book 16 in the entire series. Trust me, this series is well worth the investment. I cannot even imagine where the next book will take us. Loved it.

This was not a bad story, but it was a slow mover. The main drive of LS D addiction leading to all the issues shows a complete lack of knowledge and research into drug use. Nobody in history has been forced into sex slavery for a tab of acid. It's not an opioid or any type of addictive chemical. I am getting tired of reading books where the author uses something for a plot vehicle that is completely wrong. Do your research. Don't ruin a good story by screwing up the details that make the story.

Another brilliant book by John Mefford. Ozzie Novak is hoping that his life will get a little better settled for him and his daughter. He is also hoping that he and his wife can get back together, but she is gone away for a while and he'll just have to wait.

So when his friend Ivy comes to Austin asking for help to find a missing 23 year old who disappeared 2 months before, he is ready to jump in and help any way he can. They soon find themselves in the middle of drugs and abuse and very badly treated young women who just can't fight the addiction circle.

Can the 2 of them get these girls to safety and get the home to their family? A wonderful story of helping the less fortunate.

You haven't started any of John Mefford's Redemption Series? Shame ON You! Seriously, you are missing out on one of the most amazing series of books I have read in years. Tight plotting, realistic locations, believable characters, in short, exactly the type of thriller stories that just begs to be a series of major motion pictures. Do yourself a favor; buy just one of the books (Alex, Ivy, or Ozzie), and you will find yourself hooked. These characters are not simply cardboard... they are real people, with real problems, just like you. Be prepared to lose some sleep, because these books are really good!

I've said it before, and I'm saying it again, these stories continue to get better and better. Ozzie is in Austin in this newest tale, getting used to being a father and starting his new career as a PI. People from his past end up surprisingly intertwined with those currently in his life as the plot takes twists not likely to be expected by the reader. I love the way characters from previous books are coming into the mix. The book kept my interest to the very end and I anxiously awaiting #5. Mr. Mefford is undoubtedly the best new author I have found in years. I urge readers to start at the beginning of the series to fully enjoy and appreciate the complexities it presents.

5.0 out of 5 stars Ozzie in even more trouble!

It is getting to be something of a habit to give John Mefford's books five stars, but then again it would be difficult to do anything else, because for me, these books are so good.
The characters, already fully rounded and believable are fleshed out even more in this book, the plot is original and the tension is ramped up to maximum, or is it? John always seems to find a way to increase the tension and excitement even further.
I am finding it difficult to say new things about this series of books as I have related all the positive things in my previous reviews.
One aspect of the writing which I do admire, is that even though this book is part of a series, which in itself is part of a bigger series, it could still be be read as a standalone, with enough 'back-story' to make sense and be a great read, but it is so much more when the preceding books have been read.
About the only thing left to say now is ... I'm really looking forward to the next one! The characters from earlier books are getting more involved and I can't wait to see where they go from here.

Ivy Nash makes an appearance in this Ozzie thriller and I was so excited to have them work together on a case! Ivy is in town trying to trace a missing girl, (or young woman rather as she is 23 years old) Chantel is an addict who turned to drugs after her sister went missing 10 years previous, after that event she rebels and turned to drugs to get over her sisters disappearance. This story line was intermixed with a few other and as usual Mefford managed to weave them all together seamlessly, and make all the ends tie. How he does it I do not know, as this story brings about something far bigger than a missing girl in the end.

With Ivy being on the scene, Ozzie adjusting to fatherhood and few little comments throughout have got the wheels turning in my head regarding Ozzie and Ivy - could be become an item or is there something else that may connect them together. There is something greater bubbling under the surface connecting Ozzie, Ivy and Alex and I cant wait to find out what it is,,,,, of course I may be totally wrong!
