Purchase options and add-ons

From New York Times bestselling author K. Bromberg comes the raw, sexy, and jaw-dropping finale to the Wicked Ways series.

I play to win, and I won’t let anything―or anyone―get in the way of what I want.

The first time I met Vaughn Sanders, I knew I wanted her. Confident, intelligent, and downright sexy. I thought I knew how to play her game. I was ready and willing for the challenge. Little did I know she was full of secrets and surprises.

But so am I.

Charming a woman into my bed has never been my problem. It’s the relationship part that is. They want it. I don’t. But can you blame me? Broken marriages are how I make a living. Hell, no self-respecting man would let a woman own his thoughts, invade his dreams, and steal his heart. So how in the world has Vaughn done that to me?

I’ve fallen in love with her. There. I said it. But that acknowledgment comes with a heavy price.

Everything and everyone seem to be working against us, leaving us both to question whether what we have is worth the cost.

I’ll be damned if I go down without a fight.

Amazing finish to this duet!

Amazing finish to this duet!
Holy... just when you thought it was safe to keep reading Kristy delivers another twist or turn! Vaughn has been through so much in her life, trying to make her niece’s life better while working multiple jobs to pay off debt and save up to be able to afford a new chapter in their lives. Ryker thinks he’s ruined everything and works as hard as he can to try to fix his mistakes, all while being taunted by the evil senator and frustrated by his inability to make it all go away. It seems impossible to reach that happily ever after. And oh boy does that ending throw you for a loop! The depth of these characters draws you in and that cliffhanger from Resist left you anxiously waiting to see what happens next. Worth. The. Wait. If I thought Kristy had written the perfect book boyfriend before I was wrong because Ryker has stolen my heart. The way he handles everything tugs at you and makes you realize just how much he needs to take care of Vaughn and make her happy and secure, especially when her future and the chance at a life with her niece is always at stake. We can’t forget to mention Lucy... Kristy did a fabulous job depicting a teen with Down Syndrome and the way families may need outside help for medical treatments and therapies. Shining a light on a cause has always been one of Kristy’s strengths and she did not fail with this one. Hopefully it will inspire others to look more closely at local organizations and how they can help or just encourage others to take an extra moment to smile and talk to someone they see with special needs.I’m about to start a reread of Resist & Reveal because I can not get enough of these characters and this storyline. It was definitely one of my favorites and even though we all cringe at cliffhangers, this conclusion made it worth the wait. Did I mention Ryker is damn hot?!

What a great sequel and finale to this fiery duet. It was unputdownable, top best from Kristy and definitely one of my tops for 2019. Such an intriguing plot, so many twists, and turns, so many surprises along the way. All truths were REVEALed and everything wrapped up nicely in this fast-paced whirlwind of a story.

If you think Resist was a rollercoaster of emotions, this one will completely blow your mind and put you through a vortex of feelings. Intense, jaw-dropping, sexy, with lots of layers, REVEALed one minute at a time.

The angst, the passion, the romance, the witty banter were front and center here as well, but there was a touch of suspense and some political games and scandals thrown into the mix to spice up this explosive story. I was pissed one minute, angry the next, then I was biting my nails, repeating NO WAY to the wall, wanting to throw my kindle at said wall, considering strangling Ryker, then Vaugh, then the both of them, then I wanted to kill some characters or downright gauge their eyes out...well, it’s true…The constant racing of my heart and the anxious flipping of pages was telling how much K. Bromberg nailed all emotions to the last detail.

The romance was passionate and steamy. It was fire and sparks one minute and then turned into a sweet, melt-your-heart, swoon-worthy romance the next. I grew so attached to that couple I wish there were more books. They were both “work-in-progress” but aren’t we all? They messed up, they made out, they hated, they loved but they protected fiercely the people they loved and were ready to move hell and earth for them.

The writing was immaculate as usual. I didn't doubt Kristy's ability to deliver on the emotional side of this story and we knew there would be some real drama involved with the way things ended in RESIST. But what was really intriguing in this sequel was the complicated subplots, all tangled together with so many lies, secrets, wicked games, and attempts to gain control.

Intriguing, angsty, heart-stopping, pulse-racing, passionate, steamy, sweet and so so emotional. This duet had all the feels and this conclusion wrapped up nicely this exceptional story.

This was a good conclusion to the duet. I'd rate it 4.5 stars. It was chock full of drama, mysteries, angst, deception, passionate, suspenseful, and redemption to keep me happy. It's also told in dual POVs (which I LOVE since I get to be inside both h/H's head). I won't lie, the first 25% of the story got a bit old quickly. Mainly where Vaughn is concerned. The story picks up where Resist ended, her running out on Ryker after overhearing some upsetting comments. Now, I quickly figured out what was happening and understood where Ryker was coming from. I was even proud of him for trying to help her. But her constant stubbornness and refusal of any and all help was annoying. I get you want to be independent, but man. *sigh*

Vaughn, like I said, annoyed me a good chunk of the story. I did like her independence, her strength, courage, love, and loyalty to those she cared about. She was smart, but sheesh she was stubborn, which I suppose sometimes worked well in her favor. I do understand her reasoning. She felt betrayed by Ryker, but even after he explained many times, she still wanted to end things with him. I was glad when she finally began to forgive Ryker.

Ryker started off as the jerk, but to me, he quickly redeemed himself in my eyes. All he wanted to do was help Vaughn with her problems and care for her. He chased and chased and chased and showed his feelings and that just made me swoon. Sure, he should've told her some of the things he was doing behind her back, but I also understand his thinking: ask for forgiveness instead of permission. Especially knowing how difficult Vaughn is where help is involved.

I liked the twists and turns throughout the story as well. There was tons that happened the last 20-30% of the story that had me gritting my teeth. Vaughn sure can have some really crappy days. I'm just thankful she finally let Ryker in.

All in all, this was a good conclusion to the duet and I enjoyed reading their romance. Their chemistry was off-the-charts! Thank you Kristy for this copy. This is my honest review.

***FYI: This is *book 2* in the Wicked Ways Duet. The first book, Resist, should be read first!***

After the cliffhanger ending to book 1, it was a long, long wait for book 2 but it so worth that torturous wait! I devoured this book in a little over 24 hours and I am NOT a fast reader.

I didn’t think there was a way Ryker
could redeem himself and honestly at the end of book one I didn’t think I would want him to.

By 3% in I was crying for these characters. Not a good look on someone sitting at work on her break in a public area. Thankfully no one noticed. It was a late night but I had to read until I was done because Ryker and Vaughn (and Lucy). I just had to know how this was going to end. This book had all the feels for me. All of them.

But it’s not just all the feels that roped me in, because as a fan of Bromberg, l already expect all the feels. This book is more than just all the feels. I dare say is one of her best stories (I feel like I am cheating on Rylee & Colton from Driven by saying this). This kind of surprised me considering when I started book 1 I was thinking I wouldn’t be able to get into the story because of Vaughn’s profession but please do not let that dissuade you from reading it!!

The layers of the plot in Reveal come together in this book. And I dare say Ryker and Vaughn are some of her most realistic characters ever. Needless to say THIS duet is why I am such a fan of Bromberg’s writing. I was pulled in and couldn’t stop reading until I was done even though I didn’t want the book to end.

I give this book all the stars. All of them. It’s hands down the best duet and best book I’ve read all year.

Found this dynamite duo by accident. The entire story is so well written that you will sink into the characters and their many secrets. You will not see the ending coming... a bit slow at the start of Book 2 but then took off at lightening speed with everything twisting and turning until the end. So many characters all with merging plots of sexy hotness, lies, and surprise endings. Great read. Thank you for that.

    “Reveal” by @kbromberg ✨

What a conclusion. What a duet. I won’t say much because you HAVE to read this duet, it’s totally worth it. ✨

Ryker and Vaughn’s story is full of drama, intrigue and suspense. It’s tense at times - times when you simply can’t put the bloody book down! The different levels to their relationship is beautiful - the trials that they have to go though in this book just proves this. ✨

I loved it, I truly did. How the story came together at the end, the pieces of the puzzle finally matching up with characters showing their true colours. Love love loved it! ✨

Now, the little star of this duet is Lucy - or should I say, Princess Lucy. Their royal day out on the terrace and her pure love of life made me smile so much! ✨

My favourite scene was a certain chapter at the end which, as Lucy says, is just like Tangled. The beauty of that moment, of having a worry and a wish is perfect, and that question - I knew it was coming but 😍 ✨

100% would recommend this book to each and every one of you. The writing is great and the character development in this story is brilliant. Vaughn is a strong female protagonist, and Ryker is a man who you can’t help but love. What is not to love? ✨

Vaughn and Ryker cant leave each other alone but he has hurt her so badly when he was trying to protect her. The senator is smart and Ryker is frustrated that he has made a mess of things. Vaughn is desperate to get custody of Lucy and her father has turned up wanting money so that he goes away. There is a lot of Ryker making mistakes in his quest to help Vaughn. I thought the story dragged a bit at times and so reduced the stars by one. It is still a good story but I thought there was more filling in then was needed. You can only stretch a story so far.
