About the author

Judith Lucci is a Wall Street Journal, USA Today and Amazon Best Selling author who loves to kill people - which is totally opposite what she's spent her life doing. "I love to think of heinous ways to dispose of people - sometimes a lot of people- but it must be creative. I don't use guns very often but rather rely on my medical background and research to figure out the best way to get the job done. Bullets are just too easy. I'm sure a psychiatrist would have a ball trying to figure out why someone who spent her life caring for people and saving lives, now spends hours each day in the creative pursuit of murder."
Dr. Lucci is a Gold Medal Winner for Best Sleuth 2017 for The Case of Dr. Dude, the first book in the Michaela McPherson Series and another Gold Medal for Best Political Thriller in 2017 for Viral Intent, the third book in the Alexandra Destephano medical thriller series. Her third Michaela McPherson mystery won a silver medal in 2018 for Best Sleuth. She's has contributed to numerous anthologies, some of which are currently available on Amazon. She has recently claimed the prestigious status of a Wall Street Journal best selling author. She is also a USA Today best selling author. Her Cozy Mystery series, Artsy Chicks, is set at Massanutten Resort in the Virginia mountains where she and several other artists and the local medical examiner, solve mysteries of deaths that occur at the resort.
Lucci's thrillers are a fast-paced, riveting reads that offer readers believable drama, memorable characters and true suspense. Her books are described as 'unputdownable."
Judith was born and educated in Virginia where she holds graduate and doctoral degrees from Virginia Commonwealth University and the University of Virginia. She is also the author of numerous academic and health-related articles and documents. She loves to communicate with her readers at www.judithlucci.com.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 24, 2020This is my first read of this series, and the author, Judith Lucci, does a great job of keeping this a standalone book. I had no trouble sinking right into the action-packed storyline.
Ripped from the headlines of current events, Run For Your Life drew me in right off the bat with the threat of terrorism in the hero and heroine’s own backyard. And the story’s setting made me even more intrigued since I grew up in Virginia.
Throw in a family element with two infant children, and a supernatural twist from Belle, a Civil War ghost, and I was hooked.
This story is an easy read with lots of action, and the author’s style paints a lovely description of the setting and characters.
If you haven’t read a story by Susan Lucci, this is a great book to whet your appetite. I highly recommend Run For Your Life.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 27, 2019Enjoyed the book. Story is about Alex living in the guest cottage on her grandparents estate, former Congressman Adam Lee, a descendant of General Robert E. Lee. Alex has an infant son with Jacob Stark, who also lives with her. Secret Service agents helps protect them against terrorists because of past events. The Al Qaeda want to kill the Congressman and his family. Follow this action packed story as terrorist invade their home to kill them. A lot of people complain and gave the book a one star rating because the reported the book wasn't out on kindle. I received this book as a giveaway and reviewed it voluntarily. I feel that giving a book a low rating because you don't like the method the book is released is wrong!!!!!

- Reviewed in the United States on June 3, 2021Another awe inspiring story. Full of the people of Wendley Farm. This story was over the top. Filled with adventure and excitement. It kept me on the edge of my seat. The ending was really exciting. You could not be sure who was going to prevail. The terrorists were so clever in the way they carried out their attack. The ending was stunning. A real masterpiece.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 13, 2019Pretty good but not as good as others in the series. I would give five stars to the rest of this series. This books ties it up so the author can end it here but leaves some room for possible future books. I like the ghost character of Belle and wish there was more of her
