I will write this review based on a track by track review of the whole album. Track one was a good solid rock song to open the album with lyrics that speak to one's soul and life experiences. Track two is another good rock song speaking of how heavy it is to carry that kind of wieght on one's shoulders in the form of skeletons. Track three discuss what it is like in life to feel betrayed by someone you care for and find out they are as mess up as you are. Track four talks about having the need to have someone there to help hold you up and support you and your choices as you go threw life. Track five shows you the ups and downs in a relationship and how hard it is to maintain it while wanting to feel the need to be loved. Track six lyrics show us listeners how having such a good friend can making you take a hard look at yourself and clean up your life while feeling that friend is always with you in essense. Track seven shows how we are all sinners day in and day out but how having your true love can save you from a bad ending. Track eight is another great rock song discussing the fight within one's body and soul to turn their dark place into Light. Track nine lyrics gives us fans a look at overcoming one's addictions and no longer being a "slave to them" because we all have a devil in us one shape or another. Track ten discuss how we can be strong and stand up to the enemy and get rid of all the darkness in our lives for chance at light rest of our lives. Track 11 shows a singer at the lowest point in his life almost breaking pont and then realize their is some hope at the end of the tunnel. Track 12 is a song that discuss how "Fear Hate Love" can control our lives at certain points during our lives on this Earth. First album in a long time that enjoyed every song start to finish and great mixure of rock, metal, and techno beats. Reminds me of old school Papa Roach while maturing to pain, hurt, suffering we all experience as we age and become adults.

There is a reason why this band is so beloved. As a fan of Papa Roach from the beginning, I really have to say that this band started strong and has only stepped onward and upward ever since!

Continually reformulating their sound while not losing the style or identity in an ever-changing industry, the boys have delivered quite possibly their strongest album yet.

F.E.A.R. is old school Papa Roach mixed with new elements. Mostly fast paced and hard hitting, with a couple slower tracks that still deliver in music and message.

Jacoby's vocals are top-notch whether rapping, screaming, or everything in between. He continues his chronicle of his personal struggles & risings lyrically with raw honesty and passion, making the songs relatable and moving in tracks like "Gravity", "Falling Apart", and "Broken As Me". The message of the record as a whole is incredibly positive, particularly shown in anthems like "Face Everything and Rise", and "Warriors".

The boys sprinkled in modern electronic sound with their heavy riffs and crisp beats backed by chunky bass rhythms. Cap it all off with a couple excellent guest vocalists and F.E.A.R. is sure to resonate with longtime P Roach fans and new listeners alike.

I seen Papa Roach with Shinedown on October 17th, had intentions of purchasing Infest to the Paramour Sessions, and then went all in on their entire discography after seeing them live.

Another strong album from P Roach. Papa Roach never disappoints. The whole cd ROCKS from beginning to end but my favorite songs include Falling Apart, Love Me Till It Hurts, Gravity, War Over Me, and Devil. FEAR is probably the best album they have put out since Getting Away With Murder. I love all their music. Do not be afraid to get FEAR.

Still rocking after all these years. This album is probably closer to The Connection than their earlier albums, but you still get a familiar sound that brings you back to their roots. Broken as Me is my favorite song on here after the first listen, but there are other songs on here that really come out well as a mix of heavy guitar and the familiar lead vocals of Jacoby Shaddix. F.E.A.R sounds really good to open the album up and Gravity is a rap mix that is emotional and brings back some of that Nu-Metal sound. For those fans that like the Scars sound of the ballad, you will probably be fans of Devil, Falling Apart, and Love Me Till it Hurts. They really mix it up well on here to try and bring a different sound on each song that will feel new, but remain familiar.

Papa Roach has been developing their sound and has gone away from their original sound. That being said, I LOVE this album. Love it. The reason being is that it has some of the catchiest and best songs i have heard from Papa Roach in a couple albums. Fear Hate Love is a fast paced monster of a song, Falling Apart is a great song with strong lyrics and great rhythm. Lyrics are very strong with this album(at least I think so) These are my 2 favorite songs. There is not a weak song on this album, imo. If you want a Papa Roach album that combines a little of the old with the new, I strongly recommend this album.

Papa Roach is great at making exemplary music. All of the songs on this album are different from each other, but none of them stray too far from the feel of the album. Nothing feels out of place. From Gravity to Fear Hate Love, this album is well written and fulfilling. The upbeatness of Warriors, the epiphany-like drive of War Over Me, the inspiration given in Face Everything and Rise, the emotional rollercoaster in Gravity, the strongly presented accusation in Devil, and the longing for help in Falling Apart is, at the least, what makes this album more than just music, but a piece of life.

I feel bad only giving this 3 stars because this really is a pretty good release. The reason for only 3 stars is simply in comparison to other bands that have released much better music around the same time.

Discazo.
