From New York Times bestselling author, Corinne Michaels, comes a new heartwarming standalone romance. I’m getting really good at cutting my losses. First, the husband. Divorcing him was the best decision I ever made. But between single-parenting and job-hunting, I can’t catch my breath. When a celebrity blogging position falls into my lap, I’m determined to succeed. That is, until I get my first assignment and actually see Noah Frazier for the first time . . . practically naked and dripping wet. My heart races and I forget how to form complete sentences. His chiseled abs, irresistible smirk, and crystal blue eyes are too perfect to be real. So, what do I do? Get drunk and humiliate myself, of course. I’m ready to forget the awkward night, yet Noah has no intention of allowing me to move on. Instead, he arranges for me to write a feature on him, ensuring a lot more time together. One embarrassing moment after another, one kiss after another, and before I can stop myself, I realize—I’m falling in love with him. But when the unthinkable happens, can I even blame him for cutting his losses? What I wouldn’t give for just one last time . . .

Emotional, heartwarming, swoony, and riveting- One Last Time is one of Corinne Michaels best books yet in my opinion. I loved every part of this book. And that dedication *sobs*. I thought this book would be light, and in some ways, it is, but gosh… some things hit me right in the feels, like only Corinne can do.

Kristin McGee’s life has been turned upside down. She has two children, and she’s single again for the first time in a long time. After getting a divorce from her emotionally abusive husband, she’s on a path to finding herself again. Thank goodness she’s got her kids and her amazing tribe of women. Kris also finds herself back in the work force. Her first assignment as a celebrity blogger is to interview the Noah Frazier.

Noah is a gorgeous celebrity and of course, Kristin finds him attractive. What she doesn’t expect is for Noah to find her attractive as well. Noah is enamored by Kristin. He doesn’t care that she’s recently divorced, or that she has two kids. He’s wants more of her time and he’s persistent about it. Kris didn’t think it would be possible to find love again this soon, or that she could trust another man again, but Noah slowly starts to change her mind.

description

Noah Frazier. Sigh. Noah is quite possibly the perfect man. Okay, so maybe he’s not perfect but he’s pretty darn close! He’s the sweetest, the sexiest, and the swooniest! I adored him with Kris’s kids, and just the way he showed her how she was always supposed to be treated. Kristin is a character I think a lot of people will be able to relate to. She is real, down to earth, and was a victim of the kind of abuse a lot of people don’t take seriously or talk about. I think she was brave and completely awesome.

What I really loved about this book was not only the romance aspect (even though it was epic) but the fact that Kristin had so many amazing women on her side. Her best friends were incredible. I love that they had a sisterhood. They loved her, helped her in any way they could, and were always there for her. Friendship is SO important and I love when it’s showcased this way!

One Last Time is a book that gave me the best kind of feels. It was full of love, emotion, friendship, and hope. I give it 5 stars and recommend it to all lovers of romance!
“You’re perfect, and I want all of you.”

O.M.G. Let me tell you, this book owned me!

From 6% in I was in love with this book and not because something crazy happened, I just fell in love with the possibilities and the hope I felt. Kristin a mother of two is going through a divorce while starting a new job. She is completely overwhelmed when she is given her first assignment as a celebrity blogger, Noah Frazier.

Noah is more than happy to do the interview to help Kristin. Once they meet Noah is completely into the idea because he is so taken by Kristin. Don’t be fooled this isn’t a story of insta-love because while Kristin is completely wowed by Noah she isn’t even considering anything more than friendship.

Despite what Kristin thinks she wants she can’t resist Noah’s advances and let's be real, no one could! Noah is something else. He is charming, sexy and completely dominating when necessary. Noah Frazier is why I read romance books. He is the kind of character that makes you smile and completely giddy while reading. He makes you want to turn the page!

I read to escape and I read romance because of the feels. This book made me feel something I haven’t felt in a long time reading, hope. Which may not seem like much, but the excitement I felt for Kristin was more real than it should have been. I mean from the beginning I was just excited and hopeful and the fact that I kept that feeling throughout the book speaks volumes.

These characters are legit some of my favorite and their friends are the best! I can't wait to read their books, so hurry up Corinne!! ;-)

One Last Time was absolutely perfect and one of my favorite Corinne books! You should read this book, like for real as soon as possible!

“I’m going to win your heart, Kristin. Be ready.”

I went into Corinne Michaels’ One Last Time with somewhat high expectations, knowing how well she writes and the fact that I always seem to get drawn into her storytelling so easily…… and yup, I absolutely loved it. This was a fantastic story filled with hope, promise and endless potential.

Kristin has been through a lot; she has just gotten out of an emotionally abusive relationship and as a result, is going through a pretty nasty divorce. Her soon to be ex-husband is beyond horrible, the things he would say to her and call her were abhorrent and reading them broke my heart. He would belittle her to the point of feeling worthless and undesirable. No one should ever have to put up with that kind of emotional abuse and Kristin had had enough.

Kristin has two kids to look after and knew she had to get back on her feet and move on. It was no easy feat, but with the help of her best friends she was able to secure a place to live, get a job and more importantly have a sense of self-worth.

Whilst Kristin is all set to start the next chapter of her life she comes across the all-consuming sex god Noah. Ah Noah… how I love thee. I fell in love with that sweet, caring, charming and sexy Noah almost instantaneously. He is everything us romance readers thrive on when we search for the ultimate swoon worthy hero.

I just loved both Kristin and Noah, the intense feelings and attractions for each other was just pure bliss. I consumed every look, every touch and every emotion and it made me compelled to keep reading more and more. The strength and courage Kristin showed to stand up after falling down was nothing short of inspiring and Noah’s sweet and caring nature made them the perfect couple.

Corinne Michaels really delivered an inspiring story of heartbreak, hope, strength, and love; the courage to heal your broken heart and ultimately risk letting love in once more. One Last Time was such an emotional rollercoaster ride that captivated me because of Corinne’s thoughtful and carefully crafted writing. I urge any romance reader to check this one out; definitely Corinne Michaels at her finest.

Is this a joke? A growna** woman who gets dumbstruck, then drunk, then sloppy drunk to the point of falling into the pool, and all because the H is--like, oh my god-- just soooo hot? LMAO. No thanks. DNF @ 20%.

This book had a lot of things that I normally avoid, such as a divorced woman with two kids as the heroine. I knew it would involve a lot of family drama but I wanted to try it because I loved some books of this writer really very much (Consolation Duet, We Own Tonight etc.).

Now, I am terribly sorry to be so much disappointed in this book...

Think of a barely OK light romance you have read before … then change names… that’s all you’ve got, nothing new or original…

The love between our hero and heroine is the “instaest” 😊 of all insta-loves ever written… so insta that it feels both incredible and ridiculous.

The heroine, Kristen, is on the verge of a divorce from her emotionally-abusive as*hole husband. She has two kids.

The hero, Noah, is an actor. He has never got married before. He once loved a girl and wanted to marry her but then he lost her in a tragic way.

***********************************************

As soon as Kristen and Noah meet, they quickly fall in lust & love.

They only kiss before she is legally single again. Their relationship begins the day she gets divorced.

Meanwhile, the ex-husband has a verrrry b*tchy girl-friend, who happens to be his young assistant.

The kids are of course torn between the parents building a new life for themselves.

Everything in the book is a cliché and after a certain point, it turns into an annoying soap opera with a very annoying twist.

***********************************************

Even though their sudden love and attachment was ridiculous, I had fun and I laughed at their antiques every now and then. The book really had some hot and fun moments. For a brief period of time, I thought they were a sweet couple.

However, when they were too happy sappy before the %50 of the book, I knew a plot twist was gonna break them apart soon and I prayed that it wouldn’t be something annoying or silly...

My prayers not answered and the stupidest of all plot twists came!

***********************************************

Here is the unoriginal but annoying plot twist:
(No big spoilers, don't worry)

The hero seems and sounds too good to be true at first, and then, we see his true colors. Just when the heroine needs his trust, just when she needs him to believe that she didn’t do what he thinks she has done, he doesn’t believe her even when she begs him to.

He goes and leaves her, not even giving her a chance to prove her innocence.

Kristen is devastated…

He left me without so much as a backward glance. I was completely expendable to him…

Huh, soon, the inquiries are done and the truth is revealed and it is time for Noah to feel devastated!

The guilt I feel crumbles on top of me, making it hard to breathe. I didn’t believe her. She told me, begged me to listen to her, and I walked away. Even after I hurt her, she sent a text to tell me she loves me. I hate myself.

I should’ve stayed, trusted her, and found a way to prove she didn’t write it. How the hell could I have known, though? All the signs pointed to her, and I just accepted it.

See, how awfully he treated her?

The one who said he would never hurt her like her ex-husband did! Huh, BS! He hurt her even more!

Then, he comes and says he is sorry (sorry my as*) and he wants a second chance.

The worst thing is, she quickly forgives him, without making him work hard for it, without making him grovel for her forgiveness. His coming back to her was enough!

Just kill me now!!!!!

What a waste of my time… I am so sorry because I really loved some books of this writer, but this one, not so much. This one feels as the product of a quick job of writing based on a formula used by many romance writers…

Here is the safety check if you need to know:

He is not a man-whore and there is no cheating between the hero & the heroine but a short separation.

Another hit from Corinne Michaels! I laughed and cried, and cried some more.
Untitled-4 copy

FFS. This book. Let me just explain the start of this book.

I cried like a baby. It hit all the feels. It was gut-wrenching. It was realistic. It was devastating. It was how this story needed to start. It was the sharp stab of the knife, before the stitches, before the wound began to heal. It was the battle wound you needed to have before you could proudly stand, scars and all. Because you SURVIVED.

Untitled-3 copy

Once I got over that little hurdle of thinking I was going to die, found dead in a puddle of my tears – I laughed. I laughed and I felt Kristin’s shift back into the living with every awkward moment. A personality so big that was allowed to thrive again.

Untitled-1 copy

And Noah. Fucking Noah and all his swoony-goodness. He was perfect. Even when shit DID get COMPLICATED, he was just there – standing there in all his perfectness. I could not find fault with Noah, with his own struggles.

Untitled-2 copy

One Last Time was humorous, it was heartbreaking and most of it was inspiring. Corinne Michaels hits you over the head with the emotions and shakes the laughs right out of you.

I’m BREATHLESS!!! I’m DREAMY! I’m FLOATING in the clouds! I still feel butterflies buzzing around me from a book that BEGUILED me by Corinne Michaels: One Last Time. I can’t stop SWOONING from this story that is SWEET-SIGHING GOODNESS! Sweet, sexy, strong, sincere, and oh-so-swoony, One Last Time is ROMANCE BLISS!

A witty, courageous, and emotionally-charged novel, One Last Time delves into the heart of a marriage, and what happens when life alters the happily ever after. This is an incredibly told tale of HEARTBREAK, HOPE, and HEALING. It’s charming, deeply honest, and above all, truly swoony—the kind of all-consuming romance where you hold your breath with delight as two beautiful people find love that is unexpected but oh so right. You can’t help but feel every word of One Last Time, this brutally honest story of a broken prince and princess who find salvation, solace, and strength in an unexpected but powerful love that claims them, becoming their new happily ever after.

His voice is barely a whisper, but I hear the words as if he’s yelling. “I’m going to win your heart, Kristin. Be ready.”

If I could create the perfect man, it would be Noah. Hot. Sexy. Sweet. Caring. Protective. Noah is the ULTIMATE PRINCE CHARMING!!!

He’s Adonis ... on crack. And he’s one drug I’d like to be addicted to.

Kristin ... oh how did I love her! She went from meek little lamb to roaring lion, giving me mad respect and adoration for this heroine. Beautiful inside and out.

”How do you go from the best ever to nothing?”

This hero and heroine are magical together! Kristin and Noah mended their broken pieces together. I was ENRAPTURED with this love story. SO PERFECTLY IMPERFECT!!!

”I want to kiss every inch of you, make you forget everything except me.”

One Last Time is is so much MORE than a romance. It’s a story of STRENGTH where a newly brave heroine rises after falling to pick up those shattered pieces of her heart after her marriage crumbles. It’s a story of HOPE after hopeless— dreaming of and knowing there is a better life waiting after a lifetime-altering let-down. It’s a story of SALVATION, encountering a savior or more who help cover you with courage and save you from drowning. It’s UNCONDITIONAL LOVE that happens from friends who become family. It’s UNEXPECTED LOVE from a white knight who rescues you when you didn’t want nor know you needed a savior, helping replace that broken spirit with soul-lifting love. It’s a SECOND CHANCE on not just love but life. One Last Time is SO MUCH—IT’S EVERYTHING!!!

”I’m the last thing you need.”

He cups my face, moving his thumb on my cheek.

“...but you’re the only thing I want.”

In her MOST ROMANTIC ROMANCE yet, Corinne Michaels delivers a journey of shattered and soul-sweeping love meets self-healing in One Last Time, a dreamy fairytale you won’t want to end. This is one of the SWEETEST LOVE STORIES you’re ever going to meet! One Last Time is love lost and love found. You’ll SMOLDER, SWOON, and get SWEPT AWAY while also riding a ROLLER COASTER of FEELS!!! There are sweet-sighing tender moments, pull-your-hair out tension, and bite-your-nails twists. HEADY, HOT, and HEARTFELT, One Last Time is a refreshingly real love story with a fairytale feel. I’m so OWNED by this heartfelt and hopeful romance—from my thumping heart to my swoon-filled soul.

”You’re the first thing in a long time that feels right.”

Kristin and her husband are not in a good place. She has been a stay at home mum since they had their kids and despite the fact that she has dedicated her life to being a great mother and attentive wife, nothing she does is good enough for her husband. Neither of them are happy and the only way out of this mess is divorce.

Kristin is relieved to move into a new home with her two children, Finn (10) and Aubrey (6). The separation has been hard on them so Kristin just wants to get on with her life. She gets a job working for a gossip website and her first assignment is to dig up some information on movie star Noah Frazier. Lucky for Kristin that Noah is close friends with Eli and Heather, her friends, so access to him will be easier than she imagined. What she didn’t imagine was how freaking gorgeous this man would be in person, he is lush! When Noah sees Kristin for the first time he has very similar thoughts about her, is every woman in Florida hot?

"My legs start to quiver as his eyes meet mine. All I can think about is how I’d like to climb him like a tree and shake his coconuts.”

Noah is an outrageous flirt and when Kristin relaxes after a few too many drinks he enjoys the easy going banter between them. She is adorable and with hours he feels such a strong connection to her. However, he is also very aware that she is in the middle of a divorce and has two children who come first. Lucky he is a patient man who always gets what he wants. Kristin’s ex really messed with her head. He constantly put her down and criticized her, making her feel like she was worth nothing. Nothing she did was good enough for him and now that she is away from him she realizes just how unhappy she was.

‘Negativity is so much easier to believe, but I’m done with living in that hell.’

When Noah tells Kristin he is interested in her, she finds it hard to believe. After years of being told that she is uninteresting and unappealing, this genuine interest from another man is going to take some time to get used to. Noah is a man of action though and although Kristin may find his words hard to believe, she loves how he shows her in every way he can that he genuinely cares for her and her kids. Life has been messy - going through a divorce, guiding her children through their feelings about their parents splitting up, starting a new job, dealing with the ex-husband’s ridiculous behaviour and beginning a new relationship with a new man is a lot to deal with. Being with Noah is the best thing to happen to her. Her kids love him and everything just feels so right, Kristin has never been happier.

'I’m telling you that you’re the first girl in over twenty years that I’ve talked to my mother about. I know you’re scared, sweetheart, but a life without risk isn’t one worth living.'

There is a down side to being involved with a celebrity though and while they have enjoyed being in a private bubble in Tampa, things are about to change. Noah may have plenty of free time right now but he is due on location for his next film which means getting used to long periods of time away from him and then there is the public side of his life, the scrutiny and interest that fans and media place on him. He is a very private man and only trusts those closest to him, until he has a reason not to. Is Kristin really ready to deal with everything that comes with being with Noah and will she take a chance on love one last time?

“When he’s near me, I forget the rules of what I’m supposed to be…I just am.”

This was my very first Corinne Michaels read and it was a SMASH HIT...a GAME CHANGER...an ABSOLUTE BEAUTY of a romance! You know those stories that make your heart speed up, your stomach flutter, and your mind wander to your happy place? Well, ONE LAST TIME is that exact story for me! It’s like the author created these characters for me…like she dived deep into my soul and knew exactly what I needed at this exact time.

“It’s not that simple.”
“Nothing is, but I’m not walking away from someone who has lit a fire inside me that I thought died out. I just need you to give it a chance.”

Reading…no absolutely DEVOURING One Last Time reminded me of why I read romance. The truth is, I NEED these types of characters in my life, these types of storylines that just ooze romance. I need it to escape and I need it for my sanity from the mundane. Characters like Noah and Kristin make me fall in love with the genre all over again. Kristin, our heroine, is so real, so relatable, I wanted to reach through the pages and hug her and never let her go. Noah, our hero, well what can I say? He is perfect! Absolutely PERFECT! The hero of my dreams. The hero that every romance junkie wants to read and fall in love with. Together, these two were absolute MAGIC! Their story flowed so gently, and yet it was SCORCHING HOT and oh so emotional. I LOVED every single second that I was lost in their blossoming and heated love.

“I’m going to win your heart, Kristin. Be ready.”

The ups and downs, the highs and lows, the angst, the passion…everything about this book called to me on such a deeper level. I couldn’t read fast enough, but I also wanted to savor it. I wanted it to last because I DID NOT want to say goodbye to these characters…to this family. In the end, I’m kicking myself for not diving into a Corinne Michaels Romance sooner. Her style of writing calls to me and it’s just everything I could possibly want in a swoon-worthy, romantic, and whimsical love story. With ONE LAST TIME, Ms. Michaels brings the romance, the comedy, and the heavy emotion to every single page you turn. I laughed. I cried. I swooned over and over again. Oh, and then I cried some more. Hell, of course this author would have me bawling my eyes out after one freaking chapter! Damn it! That did set the tone and I knew I was in for one hell of an emotional and sexy ride!

“Could you not be so damn perfect? Just…a little flaw. Something to stop me from falling for you. Anything really. I had hoped you had a small dick, but that didn’t work out.”

Noah was too good to be true. To quote Kris, If wine and chocolate had a baby, it would be called Noah!

Even though the story was unbearably mushy at times, I liked it. Kris was kinda annoying with her lousy drunk persona. Not to be an ageist but most of the time I wanted to yell "You're 40 woman! Act like it!". Her giggly teen behavior around Noah was getting on my nerves. Her ex was an asshole of the worst kind, so I've decided to cut her some slack.

Her kids were cute and fun, especially Aubrey. Even her friends were amazing. Extra points for setting her up with the world's most perfect male specimen! *made me evaluate my friends for a minute there*
4.5 stars if only for Noah and Aub. The bonus chapter was so fricking sweet!

Jesus. I never had a chance against you, did I?...
Told you I was going to win your heart.

I'll be honest. After reading We Own Tonight I was hard core craving Nicole's book. So when Corinne annouced that the next book was going to be Kristin's I was like, what the hell?! But then she did the cover reveal and I was like...SOLD. Hands down, the best cover since Consolation, and the cover for Consolation is how I was introduced to Corinne in the first place. I couldn't wait to dig in.

One of the reasons I love reading Corinne's books is because she makes you feel the emotions that her characters are experiencing. I was so angry and hurt while reading Kristin's relationship with Scott.

Between trying to look like the perfect wife and mother and actually being one, I’m drowning. And Scott is holding my head under as I gasp for air.

Let's be honest, Scott needed to die a slow and cruel death. Scott was AWFUL to Kristin, taking her vibrant personality and pumuling her self-esteem until it was almost non existent. She would do anything to make her marriage work, but she finally realized that this is not a life worth living and that she deserves happiness.

Anger is easy to hold on to. It’s the loss of all hope that is killing me inside.

So Kristin is facing her fears and starting a new life with a new job working as a writer for a celebrity blog. It's not what she is familiar with, but she's is determined to make her divorce hearing go smoothly, so keeping a job is her number one priority. But her first assignment is giving her more difficulties than she anticipated. Her first assignment? Noah Frazier.

My legs start to quiver as his eyes meet mine. All I can think about is how I’d like to climb him like a tree and shake his coconuts.

Let's just say her first impression didn't go exactly as planned, but Kristin's spirited personality intrigued Noah so much he went to extra mile to ensure more time with Kristin, something he never does with women.

Noah was immediately smitten with Kristin and it was very easy to become smitten with Noah. He's the perfect guy. Seriously, he's perfect. There's nothing wrong with him! He's gorgeous, successful, and 100% dedicated in getting to know Kristin despite how messy her life is. He doesn't care that she has a crazy soon to be ex-husband and two kids. He feels a pull towards her that he can't deny.

I want to know what it is about her that has me twisted inside.

Soon Kristin is finding her voice again. Her confidence is growing, but so is her hope in being truly happy. The center of this change? Noah.

I will never make you feel small. You won’t ever be lonely, Kristin. I promise you that, if you give this a chance, I will treat you like you should’ve been treated all along.

SWOON ALERT!!! Noah is extremely swoon worthy! Not only is he a solid guy with Kristin, but how he handles her ex and interacts with her kids!?! Sign me up. Corinne did a beautiful job creating this beautiful story of a woman that no longer had hope, but then created her own happy ever after.

So if I was craving Nicole's book after We Own Tonight, I'm starving for it after One Last Time. But Corinne's a master at leaving you wanting more, that sneaky bitch. She just better not leave me hanging for too long.

If you're out there looking for your second chance...you're One Last Time, then you need to read this book. Because happiness is out there waiting for you to find it.

Kristin's life is turned upside down when she realizes her marriage has come to an end. Now back to work while also caring for her two kids she doesn't have time for anything else, especially not a distraction in the form of the way too sexy Noah Frazier. But Noah isn't one to just walk away when he wants something - and he wants Kristin.

The chemistry in this book was off the charts hot. And there wasn't even a lot of overly sexy scenes so all of that chemistry was from the amazing sexual tension between these characters. I loved their interactions and getting to see Noah making Kristin break down some of her walls. He really stole my heart with how he didn't back down from all the drama going on in Kristin's life. He just jumped right in the middle of it without a thought and I admired that about him a lot.

Overall, this was an emotional and swoon worthy story. It could have my laughing one second, and tearing up the next, but it's not an emotional roller-coaster I wanted to get off. I fully enjoyed it and I'm excited to go read more about Kristin's friends.

I am writing this review with a huge grin in my face and a heart so full. Lordy! I AM IN LOVE and this time, it's with Corinne Michaels' Noah Frazier. Be still my beating heart but I could kiss and marry you right now Corinne. Noah is just WOW!

One Last Time is one of the books I have been anxious to read from Corinne Michaels. Her knack of writing a story you will not just enjoy reading but will surely fell in love with is something I needed in my life. So with my sickness and deadline from work, I breathed One Last Time. It was so good it felt like I was treating myself with a dose of a whole new level of love coma.

True to Corinne Michaels words, OLT is packed full of fun, sweet and heart warming journey. Boy do I fell hard for Noah. I swooned BIG TIME! Butterflies in my tummy, heart racing, smile so wide it reached my ears.. you know the gist. I was really a goner. I even laugh out loud with with them as if I was on crack. But never did Corinne mentioned a cry fest. First chapter and I had my emotions in a twist. I cried over a woman's heartache for years of battling her marriage and got frustrated with a husband I wanted to nut punch. I cried over a love so fierce every moment with them was overloaded with FEELS. I cried and at the same time grin so wide the moment I could feel HEA in my fingertips. And I sobbed so hard for a love that nearly crashed because of greed and insecurities. Gah! More than that I cried because this is love. And I want this kind of love. This dreamy all consuming love that struck my heart and hit me hard.

In all Corinne's fashion, OLT is one great journey of love at second chances. It's heartfelt, fun, swoony, sweet and sexy at times. The characters were easy to connect with as if you're one of them. The writing as always was stellar. It's easy to read as it just flowed smoothly and perfectly. The best thing about it? It captivates me from start to finish. It's not just a feels good story but a touching one that gripped my heart so tight with all the overwhelming feels.

I recommend this book!

Fantastic story of a second chance at a new love. This one has tons of chemistry between Noah and Kristin, but it's a slow burn and build up. Kristin is an extremely strong heroine that you find yourself rooting for from the very beginning. And Noah, is part smooth and part sweet and is so, so yummy. If you're looking for a standalone read, that leaves you feeling good...this one's for you.

“One Last Time” takes you on the journey of life after divorce and makes you reevaluate the important things. With an effortless storytelling, funny side characters, and one heck of an emotional rollercoaster ride, this story will have you wishing for your very own Noah!

Kristen has had a rough marriage for the past few years. Now at her wits end, she’s decided that it’s time to move on and start over. But that’s easier said than done, especially when your soon to be ex makes it extremely difficult to do so. With a new job on the horizon writing stories about celebrities, things are finally starting to look up for this mom of two. But when the newest celeb comes to town, things are about to get a whole lot more interesting. And hotter. Did I mention hottt?!

Noah isn’t your average type of celebrity. He's ok with not being in the spotlight and is pretty laid back with life. But there’s always been something that he’s wanted more in his life than just jetting off to the next country and spending countless hours working only to come home to an empty house. Well that Wanting MORE…just came in the form of a blue eyed brunette who has enough baggage for the both of them.

I loved that this was a slow burn type of romance. Kristen was going through allot in her personal life and I wanted her to find her way on her own for a bit before she jumped back into anything and it did happen. Sort of. Listen.. When you have a man like Noah around, it’s only a matter of time before your walls start to crumble down and your swept up into his world. I also loved that Noah knew what he was getting into with Kristen and he gave her space when she needed it, friendship when she craved it, and a shoulder to cry on when she least expected it. And please don’t even get me started on his interactions with her kids *swoon!!!!

If you’re looking for a sweet, emotional romance, this one is for you.

This was one of the easiest books that I've listened until now.
The narration was incredible, and I couldn't  stop until the very last word!

It's been a while since I've read something by Corinne Michaels, and I forgot how I loved her storytelling!

This story is about second chances in life and in love, and I could feel, for personal experience, everything that Kirstin had to deal everyday, with her failed marriage and her psychological abusive ex-husband!
The struggle is real, she lost herself trying to fit a mold that was never good enough for him, and it was really beautiful to see her learning to love herself and to be loved and cherished again.

Noah was a breath of fresh air into her life, and he had his own demons to conquer... I didn't really enjoyed how he dealt with things when they reached a breaking point, but I can understand where his reaction came from.

I'm not gonna lie, this book is a little bit cliche, but it's beautifully well written, and portraits very vividly how the end of an abusive marriage usually goes.
How you do need strength and courage just not to move on with your life, but to walk away of something that you thought it was for life.

I also loved her kids, their relationship with Noah, and how Kristin have make them her priority the whole time!

The narration was impeccable!
Definitely helped with my listening time.

Oh man what a story! Corinne knows how to relate her books to real life. I feel that this story is extremely relatable to so many people. To have the amount of strength Kristin has to take a stand and do what’s right for your children and for yourself. Then to add sexy Noah in the mix.....holy moly what a man! This book is full of strength and swoon. Now I’m on a mission to find my Noah! Definitely recommend One Last Time as your next read!

One Last Time is Corinne Michaels latest standalone. It releases on the tails of We Own Tonight, and though they do have interconnecting characters, it reads perfectly by itself. I definitely recommend reading WOT just because it's amazing.

Kristin's marriage has been over for a while. She's coasted in her life for the last decade feeding the needs of her demanding husband Scott but has never felt good enough. After the end of their marriage, she finds herself at her best friend Heather's house for girls night when Noah walks in and turns her world upside down. She doesn't know how, as a newly single mom, navigating life on her own for the first time, she can now manage a new relationship with Hollywood's hottest actor.

You're worth complicating things.

Noah Frazier is an actor and finds himself staying the weekend at his friend Eli's house in Tampa. He immediately feels drawn to Kristin even though she's in no place for any type of relationship. After agreeing to be the subject of her celebrity gossip column, the grow a friendship and even more close.

"I promise you don't want to even dip your toes into my crazy life." If she only knew that I'd dive in headfirst...

Guys, I know Corinne Michaels isn't known for romantic comedy, but it's there! One Last Time had me laughing my ass off! Don't get it twisted though, this is Corinne we're talking about...I cried as well. One Last Time is a book that hit so close to home for me and that's what I always loved about Corinne's writing. It's real, it's raw, and it's true to heart. One of my favorite things about Corinne's writing is her heroine's friendships. She's always got a great group of friends in her corner, and One Last Time is no different. Kristin's need for her best friends was so powerful and awesome to read. I can't say enough how much I loved this one. All the feelings wrapped up in one fabulous book!

I’ll Slytherin to your Hufflepuff tonight if you need me to remind you.

I LOVED LOVED this book. Noah and Kristin have this chemistry that is odd the charts. Truly swoon-worthy, which makes it hard not to fall in love with them.

Kristin's story is so much like so many others in real life, but the way she handles her life-changing events are so admirable. Her children come first every time, as they should, but her children also come first to Noah as well. When the past becomes the present, and stories become real life, it gets harder to move forward. The patience and admiration Noah and Kristin have for one another makes this book so amazing.

The 4 girls are still as prevalent in this book as they were in the previous book... Funny and real-life friendships tell the story, and their support for each other makes this real to the readers. They all crack me up and make it work turning the page.

I had so many Felicia moments in this book...I hate hate caddy women, and there were parts of this book that made me want to throw my phone. However, it's so worth it in the end. OMG!!! I loved it... And Noah was just perfect. SWWOOOOONNNN!!! It's hard not to rate this book with more than the maximum stars. I promise you will love it too!! I voluntarily reviewed this book from the author.

#SecondChanceRomance #Standalone #OlderCharacters
One Last Time is a perfect mix- a story with older characters that have baggage, children, a set of girlfriends who are forever bonded, a swoon worthy leading man and a sweet, doubting, soon to be divorced mother of two. The combination of funny and tender moments also helps to create a wonderful story that warms the heart and makes you smile. Divorce isn’t an easy topic but Corinne Michaels handles the distasteful parts with amazing girlfriends who have your back and then introduces a second chance at love when you think you don’t deserve it. Throw in two kids to further complicate life and the author creates a life that is real and relatable.

Kristin and Noah are both 40 years old and when they meet, they feel a spark. While their feelings are pure and electric, their issues make for complications. Divorce, ex-husband, kids, and a sexy hot celebrity all help to muddy up the waters. But Noah’s charm and relentlessness with Kristin and her children make him “Swoon Worthy Extraordinaire”. Noah also helps to bring out the old Kristin, the one who is strong and confident and believes in herself. And while her divorce is sad, hurtful and emotional, Kristin learns what love can truly be with Noah at her side.

I loved the kids, Aubrey and Finn. I loved, loved all of Kristin’s girl squad. They all just made the story all the more real and lovable. But I did have a few issues. I just feel that a big question was left open for a man who had never been married. I would have liked that addressed in the Epilogue which I really loved. Also, both Kristin and Noah were very close to their respective parents and there was not one scene in which either met the others parents. I know the story was very fast pace but I just felt a meeting was missing. Those were just some thoughts that when I finished the book came to me and made me ponder.

But in all, Corinne Michaels story of second chance love will steal your heart and Noah will steal your panties!!! A Must Read for Second Chance lovers, contemporary romance lovers, lovers of older characters and let face it, lovers of happily ever afters💗

Hey she did it! Corinne Michaels wrote a book where I didn't cry my eyes out! LOL This is actually a very lighthearted romance. It does start out a little rough with the feels but it evens out and is quite entertaining. Noah and Kristin get off to an awkward start and things just go from there. Noah has swoon to spare but I ain't complaining because wow did I like him. Kristin and her kids were definitely more than he anticipated. But I really loved the way he jumped in and the confidence it gave Kristin. Their relationship was a little fast paced but we'll just chalk that up to Noah's lifestyle and the actual reason for their relationship in the first place. I do love this group of friends and enjoyed the character crossover from another series from Michaels.

There are certain authors that you can count on to make you feel all the feels and Corinne Michaels is definitely at the top of that list. I've read every book she's written and usually you're reading waiting for that shoe to drop. That moment that makes you gasp and then finds you reaching blindly for that box of tissues as she breaks your heart.

But, I will tell you this. I did not cry.
I laughed. I swooned. I wanted to get a voodoo doll for the heroine's husband. I still felt all the feels and Corinne wrote an actual romantic comedy! This played out just like a movie as Kristin McGee finds her life seemingly falling apart as she has finally had enough of the emotional abuse at the hands of her husband. I think we've all been there at one point- feeling like we weren't enough. That is was all our fault. You feel Kristin's pain and anguish in this first chapter as she struggles with what to do. Staying in an unhealthy relationship just for her children isn't an option.

She has no idea that this choice will lead her into the sights of Hollywood actor, Noah Frazier. Right from the moment they meet, you feel the spark. I just love these two both separately and as a couple. Corinne effortlessly switches POV between them and I especially enjoyed the interactions between Noah and Kristin's two children, Audrey and Finn.

And there is a cameo from characters in Corinne's previous series that had me grinning from ear to ear. It didn't feel like a stunt as some of these cameo appearances can sometimes be. These characters were woven into the story so well. I am grinning just remembering it as I type this review.

Second chance romances are my favorite and this one is at the top of that list.

This one will resonate with you for days after....the realities of marriage and how you can go from being soulmates to strangers consumes the first few chapters and will make you want to cry...but then Noah, oh sweet Noah! He appears at the right time (and half naked no less...yum!) to ease Kristin back into living...What a swoon-worthy hunk of redemption!

You will want to reach into the pages and snatch him for yourself!

Another huge hit out of the park from Ms. Corinne! Treat yourself to this one....you won't regret it!
