The Moth Saga: Book 4-6 Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 456 ratings

"Our world has fallen still. One half lies drenched in eternal daylight, the other cloaked in endless night. All is light or darkness. All is the sun or the moon. All but me..."

The Moth Saga, a bestselling fantasy series, tells the story of Moth, a world torn in two--its one half always in sunlight, the other cloaked in endless night. This bundle includes books four, five, and six in the series: Daughter of Moth, Shadows of Moth, and Legacy of Moth.

Many eras ago, the world of Moth fell still, leaving one side in perpetual daylight, the other in darkness. Madori might be unique in Moth: her father is a son of sunlight, her mother a daughter of darkness. As war rages between Moth's two halves, Madori must find a way to heal this broken world . . . and to heal her own torn soul.

Really good read. Excellent breadth and span, really brings the reader into an entire world. I love a book that has the ability to transcend a movie adaptation- this series does it in a solid fashion. Believe it or not, to truly appreciate this world I think more detailed tales could and should be told- more historical character development would be a great plus as well as more of an epilogue, but had is more wishful thinking than a detraction... it holds it own just by itself. Had a good time reading the whole series.

Moth is built on a premise that rotation of its planet stops and remains split in light and dark much as the moon of earth. A note here the moon actually rotates but just enough so the same side always faces the earth. But beyond that leap of fate the characters are rich and the action continuous, the story line carried well without to much repetition in the six book set. I personally like that book six has a real ending, thank you Daniel Arenson. I enjoyed all six.

I thought that the books of Moth Saga was tremendous. I found in my opinion that the story was so well thought out and that it to me made me think of today society in that most people think because you are different you are of no value that you are just taking up space. I know that when a people are oppressed they will come together and fight for their right to live free. This is what this book meant to me and I would recommend this moth sage series . The characters are so well described . You were able to become one with the characters Yokee, Morani Torin just to name a few. The beginning of what looked like a future and how that changed all the lives, the struggles they had to endure, the hopefully seeing the end of a tyrant and the hope of peace. Please read this series I just can not say enough about it. This is definitely a must read.

This series was a story I couldn't put down. I'm really behind on chores lol! I loved the intricate characters, especially the heroes. I absolutely hated the evil characters! They made me scream and their deeds made me cry. So bad so that I almost, ALMOST, threw my kindle because I was so angry at the injustice, torture, and death!

There are slow moments in all the books, but curiosity keeps you reading. I enjoyed the read and would read them again.

You will find the biggest gap in this series right from the start of book 4. You will not find what happened until book 6. However, it does not satisfactorily explain WHY it happened. That said, it was still a very gripping series of books. Good characters, good story line! I've always admired authors who can keep me coming back for more of their tale. This series did that.

5.0 out of 5 stars War of Mythimia part 2 but 20 years on
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on August 17, 2015
Ok so set 20 years from the end of Book 3, and the next generation of our original heroes take a turn to face a divisive war across the lands of Moth. Another great follow up to the first series and didn't take me long to get through. Focus was on the new characters but it definitely seemed that the author didn't really know what to do with Koyee our heroine of the first 3 books - her parts were bit parts entwined into the story which disappointed a little. Lots of good points though and Madori made a suitable lead replacement. Would definitely buy more in the series if Daniel decides ever to revisit the story.

4.0 out of 5 stars Finale of Moth?
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on March 23, 2015
After reading the first 3 books and enjoying them so much, I purchased this second part to the series of Moth. It was good to see characters had grown and it seemed like it would be a great continuation of the series. I really enjoyed the last series but I find this one a bit less so, for one reason really. It's shear brutality, the effect on the story was powerful and was clear motivation for the characters to continue, but it did address the clear sickening reality of human cruelty. I just feel that the in reflection it's the end of a saga series. I would definitely read more about Moth but I think it would drag out a great story more than it should. A good read, very enjoyable.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great continuation of the Moth Saga

Just started reading this part of the Moth Saga and already hooked.
set 17 years after the end of the war between day and night it tells the story of the children of the heroes of that war.
I'm only only on book 4 at the moment and really enjoying it as much as books 1-3
Definitely worth getting if you've enjoyed the first 3 books and even worth reading if you haven't read the first 3 yet as you'll soon get the gist of what's going on.
