About the author

The third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative “middle child” who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. From adolescence to adulthood, his imagination fed itself on a diet of books, movies, and art, all the while growing and maturing—waiting for its opportunity.
In late 1998, Jason made his first attempt at writing, managing to complete a whole scene before returning once again to reality. A year and a half later, a spontaneous nighttime conversation with his wife encouraged him to take his writing seriously and to keep on dreaming. Over the next seven years, Jason carved time out of the real world to live in an imaginary one of epic fantasy and science-fiction. The fruits of this labor would later become the first three books of the Amazon bestselling AWAKENED series.
Due to the incredible support of readers from around the world, Jason continued his trajectory into make-believe, jumping from stable employment in the microelectronics industry into the mysterious abyss of full-time writing. Living in Colorado with his beautiful wife and two children, he fused the best parts of his favorite genres into stories of internal struggle and triumph, friendship and betrayal, political alliances, and military conflict.
Eleven novels and one short story later, Jason’s imagination is just getting started. But the challenges and responsibilities of the real-world are gaining strength, trying to pull him back.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 6, 2015Jason: Know that when fate takes you from this world and into the next your work will live on and keep our memory of your great works fresh in our minds as well as our in our hearts. Truly, you are one of the best writers I have ever had the pleasure to experience. Your deliverance in depicting the life and times of Sariel (and, of course it goes without saying, Kael, in the companion Awakening Series) has brought a wealth of memories for me to contemplate during those times I search for a way to escape from everyday frustrations. You have given me something tangible to think about when I need to take a break from a day of hassles. For me, sometimes it nice to escape my troubles and pick up one of the Wandering or Awakening books and have a good read to help me survive the day. Thank you for putting some good times into my life. Some Oncology Nurse gave you a "disappointing" review (literally) and I thought I had to write this and tell you how terrific I thought your companion piece was to read. It is an awesome Idea and would hope you also do one for the Awakening Series. I think the Nurse was having a bad day and took it out on your book. I'd just like to think she merely momentarily lost her mind and had a warped sense of judgement and will say it for her so that she won't have to. She also apologizes by the way and didn't mean it and hereby rescinds her statement. Thank you and keep on writing (faster please.....your fans can't get enough).

- Reviewed in the United States on June 13, 2014For anyone that enjoyed Incarnation this is a must. It brings everything too life in an exciting way. Each time Jason releases a book I try to hold off on buying it so I can look forward to it while knowing it's available to read. This time I almost made it 3 full days.
Needless to say all of his books have been amazing and this one just adds to the fantastic collection. I cant wait to see what comes next. The worst part about Jason's books is that both series can't be written at the same time and go on forever. I'll be adding a more in depth review when I have the time but I couldn't wait to at least post a comment or two now that I gave in and read the book.
As promised, here is a bit more about this book. This is a great read on it's own or to simply use as a reference guide while reading Incarnation: Wandering Stars Volume One. There is so much information packed into this addition that I can't imagine having read or trying to read Incarnation without it. This book clears up many questions and also helps you to dive further into the world of The Wandering Stars. Also what I would consider a bonus is the artwork related to the book and in depth character bios that don't disappoint. If I could suggest something to Jason it would be to continue with this idea of detailing his mystical world and also to keep the artwork coming. It's fascinating to see the characters we love brought to life and be able to compare the images with our imagination.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 12, 2014Bravo Jason! I appreciate that you took the time to write this and make it available to your hard core fans and faithful readers. While reading Incarnation I visualized the characters and this book fills in the blanks where my imagination simply could not go. I really enjoyed this book - I can tell you this will be a much used reference in the future. I am quite excited for the next installments of Incarnation.
I have read all of Jason's books multiple times and each time I get something new. I will be a lifelong fan of his work.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 17, 2014I loved the Awakend Series and can hardly wait for more of the Wandering Star books. These are thrilling, entertaining and thought provoking. They are written so as to feel so real - the stuff dreams and great movies are made of. I recommend all of Jason Tesar's books to date - love the "out of the box" style!
- Reviewed in the United States on October 24, 2015Jason is one of my favorite new writers. Both of his series has reeled me in and I always look forward to more. Would be awesome to see his work in film. Not sure though if any film maker could do the stories justice.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great little Companion book
I very much enjoyed the insights and all the went into the inception of the Wandering Stars series. The author sketches and the progression of the covers art work are the cherry on top of the cake.
Can't wait for a coffee table edition
