- Reviewed in the United States on January 14, 20153.50 stars. This second installment of the trilogy is the story of Jake Landon and Sabrina Monroe. The story opens with the couple in the airport on route to their honeymoon destination, The author applies a different technique to this story when she effectively puts the cart before the horse: you get to know that the couple get their HEA before you learn of any challenges they may have faced and how they overcame them. Great twist and a darling story.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 18, 2015This has to be one of my favorite reads. Think I've read it at least four times. I love a strong male lead in a book ... not a jerk, just a strong man. Jake was certainly that. He was also persistent. He was human. He screwed up & acknowledged it without being a doormat. They argued hard! Just like normal people do in marriages / relationships. That was really refreshing to see. I had respect for them as people. Hot scenes without being trashy. Must say I really appreciated that. Read enough of those ... Can't always tell till you've bought the book unfortunately. Can't say enough how much I liked the book. This won't be a purchase you regret. Go for it!!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 31, 2016After reading the prequel, First Love:Jake & Sabrina, I had high hopes for this book. The book did not live up to my expectations. It was an interesting story about a hot tempered man with serious trust issues, in love with a weak woman still reading from her first love. Jake is portrayed as a physically and verbally abusive man, while Sabrina plays the willing victim. I didn't really feel this story.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 31, 2016The romance of Jake and Sabrina continues in this Book but the absence of Jake almost threw me off. His absence of love and affection was non-existent except when they were having sex or he was thinking to him. I almost stopped reading because I was wondering where was the sweet guy from 'First Love.' I pushed forward and found him in the last chapter. Sabrina was stronger than me in that she kept believing in him even after he humiliated her twice and was just being a douche.
I liked the story but 'First Love' was AWESOME!
- Reviewed in the United States on August 1, 2018Two yrs ago one lie started a snowball effect that would tear Jake and Sabrina apart. But once he's back he can't seem to stay away from her. Nor can he seem to stop putting her through more pain due to his hang ups and insecurities. Leaving Sabrina confused because she doesn't understand how he just walked away from her nor why he's determined to continue hurting her still. They seem to be in this back and forth of anger and intimacy. Then Sabrina finally realizes the problem is Jake doesn't trust her. So this time she walks away after telling him without trust, she will not be with him. While Jake tends to want to keep things to himself and not rely on his friend Adam, Adam has had enough of his stoic behavior and lays it all on the line for him. Telling him exactly what Sabrina went through. Jake never considered how his leaving and all the anger & insecurities he displayed could be perceived as him not loving Sabrina. Because he wholeheartedly loved her. But having had a father who abused his mother, causing her to abandon him, & their father/son relationship not being very good Jake had more insecurities than he knew how to deal with. It's those feelings of inadequacy that drove him to outburst. Adam made him realize that unless he's willing to show her how he feels and shares his vulnerability he would lose her. So at Dee's and Adam's wedding with the help of their friends Jake and Sabrina are reunited. And Jake shows her how much he loves her, admits to his insecurities and ask that there be no lies between them.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 3, 2012I would Definitely recommend to a friend. Most of the time you can easily predict the story line, but I appreciate how personally involved and detailed the writer got regarding the characters
- Reviewed in the United States on October 25, 2015I read the prequel and I read this book and I couldn't be more giddy! Both books showed how couples loved and fought! It is quite refreshing to read a book where the characters aren't having sex right after meeting in the first page. I wish more writers would take the time to develop the characters and make them more believable instead of shoving all of these billionaires in our faces.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story Worth the Read! (3 Books Series)
Book 3 - Sabrina and Jake’s Story
What I loved about this story is there is no issue about the love that is present between this couple it’s about the trust. So you can love someone deeply and have other issues like trust. Love without trust won’t work and Sabrina and Jake have to work on this issue. The story is intense and full of emotions.
I really enjoyed the whole series. I loved that the couples acknowledged the loving and caring they had for each other but had to deal with past events and misunderstandings that derailed they love for years at a time but did not totally destroy it. The couples make appearances in each other’s stories .
I would highly recommend this series
