About the author

Amazon #1 Bestselling Author and a Readers' Favorite Gold Medal winner.
A veteran of the corporate rat-race, John W. Mefford never realized he was mentally documenting every experience of his professional journey—not until he started his first novel during a so-called "corporate timeout."
A voracious reader of mystery-thrillers since before he could shave, John enjoys weaving a twisty tale that keeps readers riveted until the last page. He's also learned he's pretty good at embellishing. Just don't tell his fourth-grade teacher.

- Reviewed in the United States on November 15, 2017I purchased In the End on November 9, 2017. I couldn’t wait to read another book in this series. The book delt with a lot of issues and especially this missing teen. Everyone thought she had it together and never dreamed she ad a lot of problems that she was dealing with. The book was great. I couldn’t put it down. I love the characters in the book. ivy is so determined to solve and find the missing teen. Christina, her assistant who is also a teen was excellent in her determination with Ivy to find this girl. The ending was a surprise. I thoroughly enjoyed this book and I’m sure anyone who reads it will too.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 1, 2020Another entertaining and fast paced story. Ivy has settled into her PI work and love of helping children has spread. She is on the task for finding Mia,but realizes there is another issue that may or may not be related at the school. Ivy is injured and we see that her and Christina have fully become a family and that Saul is serious even without the label.
The bad guys were somewhat predictable, but the reasoning behind it was very creative. The presence of Ozzie at the end has me ready to start reading his books. I was not aware that the three series intertwines for one overarching series so I have read to book 7 of Alex Trout already. It was only when I was reading reviews for book 8 that I saw there were other books to read before, oops! I immediately went back and started reading Ivy’s story and man do I love this group and set of characters. They are very personable and colorful in attitude, background and conversation.
On a side note, the titles are genius. I only realized after reading the 13th book of the three intertwined series that each specific set starts with a word that is also the main characters initials. Genius.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 12, 2017Ivy has two things going in this book. She is looking for a missing high school girl, who as far as anyone knows is 'a perfect student and teenager'. Her parents don't want to report her missing because they are illegal immigrants and are afraid of being deported before they find their daughter. Their only son died almost a year ago to the date that their daughter disappeared. Ivy's boyfriend is hounding her to find out about her birth parents, this is something Ivy isn't really wanting to do, but feels that finding Mia, the missing girl is more important. Is Mia the 'perfect student and teenage daughter' she appears to be? Things aren't adding up too well for that, or things at the school she attends. There have been 3 students killed there in bizarre sacrificial ways. There is also animals being killed. Can Ivy, Christina, and Stan figure out who is behind all of this and why? There is also 2 other girls missing. You will not see this ending coming!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 11, 2017This is the first Ivy Nash book I’ve read and I couldn’t put it down. I’ve read other books by John Mefford but I have to say this is the best. He takes you on so many twists and turns with Ivy and Christine. Your heart rate will be up and stay there while you are reading it. I’m right now reading the first book so I can get caught up. I’m not sure you have to, you just will. Be sure to get one of Mr. Mefford’s books today. They are definitely worth reading.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 10, 2017This book was so good! When Ivy looks into the disappearance of a high school girl who is last seen walking out of school, she has trouble finding any information on what could have happened, but finds herself in the middle of several ritualistic deaths of 2 girls and one boy. On top of that satanic rituals with killed animals at the high school.
Can all of this be related? Can she find the missing girl before something happens to her?
A fast paced thriller that you cannot put down!

- Reviewed in the United States on April 4, 2019I only wanted to give this book 2 stars. It's as if John only knows how to hurt Ivy mentally and physically and her closest friends. It's getting a little monotonous. As l read the previous books everyone is allowed a fluke. So, I'll try one more before I quit. I never read a thriller series where the main character is never allowed to be happy. And is always beat up, scarred, and hurt just talking down the street. I feel like I know what's coming in a lot of areas and figures if I don't enjoy the next book I'll just stop reading the series. There's no one I'd recommend this book to. Too easy to figure out, to disappointing in always Ivy or Stan getting hurt.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 13, 2017What can I say other than I love it! IN The End is the best yet in Mr. Mefford's Redemption series. As usual, all the characters are well developed, likable, and the story makes you feel you are part of the action. It takes a very talented author to put all the elements together in such an imaginative way. His characters are quite real, and you feel they are friends you have known for years. His locations are described in such a way that it seems you have been there, and have walked the streets yourself. I cannot wait for the next in the series.

5.0 out of 5 stars Superb climax to the series
John Mefford has certainly produced a real blockbuster for the last in the Ivy Nash series, although I have a funny feeling that she'll be back before the end of the Redemption series.
I wasn't sure about Ivy Nash at first, but I have to say that I'm now completely converted and think that the series is brilliant!
Once again Ivy is searching for a missing child, but there is also a back story of a serial killer seeking to punish anyone they consider a sinner and who Ivy needs to stop before they kill her.
As always in John Mefford's books the characters are incredibly well drawn and believable, the plots, whilst not always comfortable are always gripping and have a spectacular climax.
If you love thrillers, and especially ones with feisty female leads then this book is very difficult to beat.
