- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 16 June 2020I'm a real audiophile, and I buy DVDs like these not only for the terrific performance but for the sound quality. This Blu-Ray has two options, one which is to listen in Stereo and the other to listen in DTS High Def. The latter literally blows me away. It has been really carefully put together and is evident in its production quality. A sure buy for anyone who enjoys Clapton's best classics.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 January 2015Great DVD, yes there are some of the regular tracks but you get that at a concert anyway, but they are diferent and there is some fantastic guitar work.
The interviews between the tracks gives a great insight into Eric's life and his reflections on his past life and how he has turned his life around and become the man respected the world over, the section in Japan is very moving..
I think the interviews are very honest (apart from the will he wont he retire??).
I have seen Eric live many times and totaly enjoyed this DVD.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 November 2014I saw this show when the tour came through Leeds in June. Different drum/bass players and Andy Fairweather Low was back but Eric was just the same. Exceptional show; great playing and great support from some seriously skilled musicians. The interviews are quite revealing - especially the ones about the audience almost spoiling things. At least Eric spoke to the audience in Tokyo - more than he managed in Leeds.;Good to have this record of him in such good form - I don't suppose we'll be seeing him this way again. I see Jeff Beck has BR coming out of his recent tour dates in Tokyo. Hope it's as good..
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 12 December 2015A unique insight into EC and his team on tour. It's a great shame that it only includes the far and middle east but nevertheless it is well produced and makes you feel that you are there. His performances are first class, Eric at his best, with a team to match. Great stuff and it would be sad to see him stop.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 5 February 2021An excellent recording .
Enjoyed the details of Japan tour so much I would love to go and see him perform there myself .
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 January 2015I love everything he does. After watching this it looked as though he is hinting on easing off on his touring to spend more time with his family, which I cannot blame him. It shows as is usual with Eric a very polished set of performances from his most recent tour.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 19 April 2018The documentary is interning enough, and let face it he an utterly incredible player. That said the caul re order footage int in need of blu ray quality
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 25 November 2014This DVD is really good with plenty of concert footage together with interviews with Eric and his band, managers and crew.
The concert footage is of great quality and if you like E.C a must purchase.

5.0 out of 5 stars Classe allo stato puro

5.0 out of 5 stars Magnifique concert et documentaire
Setlist :
1 – Tell the trith 2 – Pretending 3 – Crossroads 4 – Driftin’ 5 – I shot the sherriff 6 – Little queen of spades 7 – Layla 8 – Wonderful tonight
9 – Key to the highway 10 – Before you accuse me 11 – Tears in heaven 12 – Cocaine 13 – Hoochie coochie man
- Nobody Knows You
- Alabama Woman

5.0 out of 5 stars first EC never jumps up and down or runs around the stage like Mick Jagger
5 stars for the music although the interviews are a bit too long in between the songs. Eric plays effortlessly with his "house band" as he calls it - he has played with these musicians for years so they interact effortlessly. Other reviews are wrong to state that EC doesn't put much effort into the concerts, first EC never jumps up and down or runs around the stage like Mick Jagger, secondly as I mentioned above there is a vast difference between effortlessly and little effort. Perhaps a little less interviews and 2 or 3 more songs would have been better - a shame he didn't cover Bad Love and Forever Man - 2 of my favorites - I highly recommend this DVD, both for the music and insight into the Man himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Old Time fan, really likes this one!
I just received and finished watching my EC DVD. I didn`t have high expectations, reading the set list beforehand, and reading a reviewer previously, who thought Eric was going thru the motions, I was prepared for a ho-hum, dry film. I can say that I was very pleasantly surprised, and really enjoyed this one. I have been a fan for over 40 years, ever since I started seriously getting into music. He is the main reason I took up the guitar 35 years ago. In the last 10 to 15 years, despite being a hard working musician, Clapton has admittedly become artistically "lazy" ( his words) it`s why he hasn`t written many songs lately. And at times he does seem at times to be going thru the motions and unwilling to push his talents. Happily that is not the case here, he definitely is not going thru the motions. He plays some superb solo`s and plays with verve. So this makes up for the standard material ( it would be great if he came up with some new songs tailor made for the concert experience). I could do without Tears in heaven ( a beautiful song, but too much of a downer for a live concert) and also Cocaine. But the solo on I Shot The Sheriff is great, that song always brings out his talents, and he goes above and beyond on this one! I think these performances really shine in the DVD mode, as opposed to seeing him in an arena. His setlist really is made for a club or theatre situation, so the film puts you front and center, so you can appreciate it more as opposed to sitting in Madison Square Garden 200 feet away. Also the behind the scenes really gives a feeling of comraderie and closeness Eric has with his bandmates. You can see what a nice guy Clapton is. He is very close with the Japanese Promoter, Mr. Udo. I think this film captures something, basically that Eric can still really play, and that he`s a nice guy. So this longtime EC fan really appreciates it and gives it a thumbs up!

5.0 out of 5 stars Sehr unterhaltsam
