I was surprised to find this new copy on Amazon. Why buy it used when you can get it new on Amazon ! Clean copy with no issues. Great purchase.

Very good show. Had it on a good quality bootleg. The sound is better here but sounds like they slowed it down a little which took
away some of the energy. Still a great show and sampling of Bob Marley's work if you need to pick a show. I can't pick which is why
I have two other live recordings. Live at the Roxy (good sound) and Babylon By Bus (good selection but the sound not as good)
Just went to Jamaica and visited Bob Marley's place and went to the mausoleum. I still feel his spirit and think about the wonderful
time my wife and I had there. Positive vibrations indeed.

WHY? WHY?? WHY???......... Why on earth did it take so long to get a live cd from Bob Marley that sounds so great? I mean, I am a fan of Marley and I don't just like him, I Love Him! I so wish that there a lot more Official QUALITY CDS released. There's got to be good quality concerts that The Powers That Be can bring out to the world. Right? Please. Please. Please. I'm begging you release more shows! Don't wait till the long time fans are dead and buried. This show is awesome. It's like they are playing right in your living room. WILL THIS EVER HAPPEN AGAIN?

As a new release in February 2015, I had pre-ordered this item from Amazon, for $19.88. Once it arrived, I immediately played the blu-ray disc on my TV.
Right away, here is something which potential buyers should know..... although the live video is a Very nice addition to any Bob Marley fan's collection, it contains only about half of the entire concert (which appears on the enclosed audio CD).
The CD contains 13 songs from the live performance, but the Blu-ray disc (and I'm sure, the DVD, as well) contains only 7 of those songs.
WTF?? Did the director run out of film, or-??
And, by the way, the live footage frequently switches to animated sequences, such as palm trees, fire, etc.. Although the animation is well done, it takes even more time away from the actual live performance.

In any case, it's strange that AMAZON failed to mention that the video disc is shamefully shorter than the audio CD. But, now that YOU are aware of this, you can decide if it's worth $19.88. Perhaps you should wait a few weeks until the price for used copies will reap a more fair purchase.

All that aside, I give BIG marks for the quality of the audio and video! The sound quality is Excellent, and the limited amount of video is a pleasure for this fan.

    Long live Bob's memory & music. :)

Anything by Bob is good, don't have to think twice.I was at that concert in 1978 and was seated very close to the stage.Had a good look at Bob,and I tell you it was very electrifying that night.I was so excited when I heard of that CD coming out.
I would recommend this cd to anyone.I think it's a must have.I do have all of his live cd's but I must say this one ranks right at the top.Just listen to I Shot The Sheriff,Slave Driver,Them Belly Full.Just to see how he got into his groove was pure magic.Bob was a master of his craft.
    Bob Lives.

While it doesn't have the same emotional fire that the two cd "Live Forever," "Easy Skanking in Boston '78" is certainly a worthy Marley live release; Marley sounds vibrant and full of passion, and the Wailers play with fire in the belly. Especially commendable are the performances of "Slave Driver," "Heathen," "Get Up, Stand Up," and "Exodus," as well as a beautiful, bluesy "No Woman, No Cry." The sound quality is absolutely fantastic: crystal clear, with Bob's voice right atop the mix, sounding on each track like he's delivering a sermon from the mount. Just a beautiful recording and a must for Marley fans.

As a collector of Bob Marley live shows I am happy to have this. I've had this concert for a long time but am happy to hear it with such great quality. I am little less excited about the DVD. As others have mentioned, it is not the complete show. Also the footage is mostly of Marley and his face and the band is not shown very much. Still a great collectible. I am happy to have this piece of history.

No question about it,one of the greatest Marley releases to date! Why oh why did it take so long!!??? This is an amazing listen on vinyl with high quality headphones. If you have a turntable...click add to cart now! FAAAAAAANTASTIC! I still rank Babylon By Bus as the best ever but this is right there. Stunning sound quality and a MUST HAVE!

Captured on tour supporting the Kaya album, Easy Skanking in Boston '78 marks the beginning of the Universal Music Group's archival Bob Marley series, something made possible by the Marley family, who offered up plenty of archival concert and unreleased studio recordings. This first release is a powerful show, slowly rolling up from midtempo favorites into some kicking and classic Wailers anthems like "Jamming" and "Exodus." The sound quality is excellent and a vast improvement over bootlegs, which still sounded quite good, but it does seem an odd selection to launch the reggae legend's archival series, until one looks at the accompanying video release. Easy Skanking in Boston '78 (the video) features hand-held footage from a fan who captured the show with Marley's permission, but only seven of the songs were filmed, and even they're not complete. Still, both the previously unseen video and the audio release will hold interest for the casual fan as well as the fanatic, while the performance is outstanding, making one wonder if the always inspired Marley ever had an "off" night.
