Great concert, beautiful footage. The Strange Highways album was considered one of the heaviest albun of the entire career of the legendary singer. The proof is contained in this Live at Hammersmith Apollo 93 finally released to the delight of admirers of this great singer. Filmed on the last night of the European tour, the DVD brings besides the classics, some songs from his recent Strange Highways, which features the title track itself and the very heavy Black Hollywood. Excellent initiative of Eagle Vision audio visual equipment to revive the band, as it did with Finding the sacred heart:. Live in Philadelphia in 1986, released in 2013 Goodies boil down to a 22-minute featurette showing the daily life of the band, totaling 115 Material minutes. Some Shia fans who prefer Vivian Campbell above all others will dissatisfy with the performance of Tracy G, a guitarist with a more modern, trampled on new metal footprint. Still, the concert contained on this DVD is a worthy sample of a show of classic heavy metal. Ronnie James Dio deserves all the respect and admiration of music lovers. Moreover, their performance on this dvd is simply fabulous. As the drum kit destroyed at the end of the concert, the band breaks it all during the entire show. BUY NOW!!!!!!

Dio had the greatest voice in rock history. No one could match his power, range and depth. He was also an extremely gifted and talented songwriter. He always gave 100% on stage, fully committed to his craft and to his fans. This proves it !

Well presented performance which captured the essence of the live event. The Blu-ray clarity added greatly to the experience. Recommend to Dio fans.

This is a reasonably well filmed show on Dio's Strange Highways Tour around 1993. It came as grunge was in fashion & Dio tried to tweak his style to match. Some of it worked 'quite' well, but really his style was always the fantasy magic and wistful!
Here Dio mixes the best older material and some of the newer to mixed effect.
At one stage Tracy G the guitarist gets some stick from the crowd and gives them the finger...probably not the wisest move.
Overall the DVD is good quality and worth having...but DIO Holy Diver! is a much better presentation with a 'happier' atmosphere.
I hope you like my review and I was actually at the show at the Hammersmith all those years ago!

Dio is excellent as always. However the audio mix is terrible, you can't even hear the crowd and a 3-4 aspect ratio with today's tv's is not the best.

5.0 out of 5 stars The METAL MASTER from a rarely seen under rated tour.

this is great because i loved strange highways just as much sabbaths dehumanizer and enjoyed hearing the SH material live. This is DIO's heaviest solo album, both musically and lyrically, it's also very angry in a good way. Traci G was given a bad rap but he is great, i am from the school that i don't care who is in the band as long as RJD is there. The true metal god for all times, this is a must have for DIO fans and for true metal heads in general.
