The Canine Matchmaker (The Swoonworthy Bachelors Collection Book 6) Kindle Edition

4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars 99 ratings

Up until yesterday, my fun-loving life was good. Until all hell broke loose.

In a single day, my best friend and business partner threatened to fire me, I’d hit a stray dog with my car and the cute vet with the stunning eyes friend-zoned me on sight. Now my beloved BMW convertible is in the shop and I’ve become a reluctant dog owner.

The only bright spot? Meeting the sexy vet, Dr. Dahlia Kent. Although we’re opposite in every way and she’s clearly immune to my charm, it only makes me want her more.

If I were smart, I’d find a home for the dog, lose Dahlia’s number, and get back to what I’m good at — looking for the easy win. But I can’t seem to walk away from the dog — or her.

Am I ready for a big change? Or am I taking on more than I can handle?

Author’s Note: Welcome to the Swoonworthy Bachelors Collection where hot guys and sassy women find their happily-ever-after with plenty of swoonworthy moments in-between!

In this constantly enjoyable romantic story, there are numerous interactions between a man and woman plus the dog that brings them together. Though nothing alike, the couple might find they might have more in common than they ever believed, if they are willing to go outside their comfort zone and take a few risks. I laughed so many times while reading HIS DAHLIA, as thoughts are repeatedly funny while some responses are also very amusing. Alexx Andria interweaves numerous comical scenes with some touching situations, and the result is a rewardingly original book.

Even thought it will make Beau Walker late for a business meeting, he still takes time to aid the dog hit by his car. Upon meeting the veterinarian, he quickly realizes Dr. Dahlia Kent is only interested in the injured animal, not him. Agreeing to pay for any care needed by Hobbs, the name he gave the dog, he even finds himself taking his new pet home to heal. Though he is fascinated by Dahlia, it seems all her focus is on helping animals and not much on humans.

Books featuring some type of animal usually make me happy, and HIS DAHLIA is truly delightful in so many ways. Hobbs is a sweetie, and I instantly liked him. Dahlia is also a wonderful individual, as she does so much to help any needy critter. Though Beau is a little self-centered at first, he comes to comprehend many realities after being around the caring vet. I was certainly entertained while watching him discover some important truths, and the whole book drew me into every intriguing development. Rating – 4.5 Stars

Beau's day was quickly turning to crap his business partner was yelling at him over the phone and then he hits a dog in the road. He pulls over to check on the dog and someone sees him and he feels obligated to do something so he ends up taking the dog to the vet. When he finally makes it into the office he partner threatens to end their partnership even when he shows him the slip from the vet. Beau is fed up and takes off on his owns until the vet calls to tell him the dog made it through surgery. Dahlia knows that Beau didn't want the dog but she wasn't about to take the chance that he would drop it off at a shelter when he came to pick it up. So she used more guilt on him and got him to adopt the dog and give it a name. That was the beginning of how Beau's life changed for the better but would Hobbs help him convince Dahlia to give him a chance?

This I a great story that will draw you in from the first page and captivate you until the last one. The chemistry between them is off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

It took hitting a strad dog and a sexy vet to help him figured out that he's been a jerk to his best friend and partner.

I love a great story where an animal brings two people together. A dog named Hobbs ran into the street and was hit by Beau. He took Hobbs to the local Vet and that is where he met Dahlia. Two people destined to be together in this beautiful love story with a matchmaking dog. Well developed characters, great writing and a sweet HEA. I voluntarily reviewed a copy of this book.

I loved this story and how the star of it was Hobbs. He took two people who never would have met and changed their lives. Not just by putting Dahila and Beau together but taking her bad past experience and his of being self-centered to let them explore the crazy world of insta love.

Also love Dahila, her devotion to animals is a lesson we all could take away from this story to volunteer and give back. Even Beau would agree that it's definitely a life changer. I received an ARC for an honest and voluntarily review.

His Dahlia (The May Flowers Series) by author Alexx Andria was such a fun read. I loved the storyline that was based on a dog being hit by a car. I had some trepidation knowing I had to get thru that part but the author made it painless. Hobbs, the dog sounded adorable as did his rescuer/soon to be owner, Beau. Of course the vet, Dahlia saw right thru his shallowness and just focused on Hobbs and the credit card. But, for the sake of Hobbs overall well-being the two humans came together and six months later there was an HEA for the three of them.
Definitely recommending this book for your reading enjoyment and pleasure. Ruff!

Beau a partner with Jared for their Throttle app is not doing much of anything. When he misses a meeting due to an accident and his partner suggests he gets rid of him it makes him angry until he meets a gorgeous vet called Dahlia. For a not a dog person beau's took to Hobs like a duck to water and for a not a people person Dahlia took to beau well you get the picture. Will Dahlia open her heart for Beau? Will Beau be able to make it up with Jared? A great book from this may flowers series.
