    “Dare to Seduce” was the perfect ending to the Dare to Love book series by Carly Phillips! A love story for Lucy Dare and Max Savage. It was sooo totally perfect and I loved every single part. I’m glad Lucy & Max found their way to each other, and especially glad they stayed together! Things were dicey and definitely could have gone the other way around. I really did enjoy it.

    I just adore Carly Phillips' Dare series. Ian and Gabe have been my favorites. Well, I think Max Savage is giving them a run for their money! His name alone exudes sex!

    Max has longed for little Lucy Dare ever since she had come home from college. Unfortunately, Max figured Lucy's brothers, Gabe and Decklan would have a huge problem with him wanting to be with Lucy so he never pursued anything. Over the next few years, Lucy moved to California for work, while Max ended up marrying Cindy, who was killed in a car accident 4 years later. Neither of them were very happy. Now that Lucy is back in town for Decklan's wedding, Max finally gets her brother's blessing and he decides to make his move. He doesn't care if she brought some guy with her from California.

    I loved the way Max kept working on Lucy to convince her that he really had feelings for her and wasn't just looking for sex. I just adored how sweet and thoughtful he was, while at the same time being a typical cocky, alpha male! Their time on the island of Eden was wonderful and sexy...really sexy! ;)

    I enjoyed how they worked together to open up a new restaurant Savage in Soho (great name), and really enjoyed the character of Sabastian, the chef he hired. He was a hoot! Too bad he isn't a Dare...I bet he'd have a great story!

    Overall another great addition to the Dare series!

    This book in the Dare family series takes us back to the New York set of Dares. Lucy Dare is the little sister who has always had a "thing" for her big brother's friend, Max. Max in turn has always had a "thing" for Lucy, but he never acted on it because he didn't want to rock the boat with his friends and quite honestly he just wasn't ready nor did he think Lucy was ready for a relationship. Lucy has been living in California, but she is back and Max is not going to waste time. I like how Max gives Lucy all of the space that she needs. He is so patient and caring. I didn't relate to Lucy's character very much. Not a lot of angst except Lucy's inner thoughts. I like smooth going stories. Dual point of view. No cliffhanger.

    My Thoughts...

    I enjoyed this Book 3 of NY Dares...'Dare To Seduce' that featured Lucy Dare and Max Savage's story. After Max was given the OK from Lucy's brothers[Gabe & Decklan], he didn't lose any time at going after what he had always wanted which was Lucy. We find from the reads that Max had always had feeling for Lucy but will she feel the same for him? With Lucky having some issues with the 'fear of losing people' and Max having had 'abandonment issues' will these two ever have their HEA? Indeed this novel was another one of this authors delightful, sexy, steamy hot romantic read.

    Even though this novel is a standalone read 'Dare to Seduce' I would suggest the readers read the first and second books ...'Dare to Surrender' and 'Dare to Submit' to get the whole amazing story about this 'Dare Family.'

    Max Savage is Decklan Dare’s best friend. He also belongs to the same BDSM club. He has been in love with his younger sister, Lucy Dare, forever. He was afraid to break the bro code. Decklan and his brother Gabe have been aware of Max’s feelings for a long time. They give him the go ahead, but not to break her heart. They are at Decklan and Amanda’s engagement party. The only problem is that Lucy lives in L.A. because she was devastated when Max got married (to forget her), so she stayed there to get rid of the crush she had on him. Max lost his wife four years ago. Lucy now has a boyfriend who is a Hollywood director, but is not a great person. Max finds his opening and goes for it. Max and Lucy have great sexual tension he intends to pursue, instead of the bickering they have done in the past. Max, for the most part has overcome his guilt and fears of the past, with help. Lucy is a work in progress, until the day everything becomes a realization. This story is loaded with doubt, overcoming your fears, hot magnetic steam between these two characters and making amends.

    I read the 2 star review and thank goodness I ignored it. Max and Lucy were perfect for each other. They had the same hangups caused by different reasons. Those that say they couldn't understand the reasons for Max's marriage to Cindy or Lucy building up walls to protect herself from further loss have a lot to learn about life. It is hard to understand the psyche. Even those in the profession will admit that it psychiatry in most cases is not a perfect science. There are several that most certainly are. We all deal with life and hurt in our own ways. I thought this book was well written and well thought out. What a man and a woman bring to each other comes from our life experiences and our needs. We become friends long before we find love. The series of Dare books are all wonderful and I for one will follow them until the end. If you read the previous books you should know by now that life is not simple and love is wonderful when you find the one friend that you can bear your soul to. I highly recommend all the books.

    This last NY Dare sibling’s story was also very emotional, as the loss of their parents at a very young age & the loss of someone she loved but thought didn’t love her caused substantial emotional damage. It damaged Lucy to the point of no serious relationships so another loss wouldn’t affect her, but she didn’t count on Max her brother’s best friend coming back into her life & claiming her. Max has a lot of loss & guilt in his life himself but at his best friend’s engagement party he decides its time to stake his claim on Lucy. Their chemistry is incredible as he dominates her in the best ways & the opportunity to work with Lucy on his new project only brings the heat higher. The drama is high as they deal with their issues & when when trouble comes it makes Lucy realize she’s been wrong all this time. Definitely recommend.
