Editorial Reviews

Twenty years ago, Dave Matthews Band's Under The Table And Dreaming introduced the Virginia-based quintet to a national audience with an alternative, folk-tinged approach to pop/rock music that resonated in a post-grunge world.

Under The Table And Dreaming is newly remastered from the original flat analog tapes and now available, for the first time ever, as a double-vinyl version featuring an eight-page book packed with previously unpublished photographs of the band in a limited, numbered gatefold jacket. The package will also include a download card featuring the album and three unreleased bonus tracks, including the original studio version of live favorite "Granny" and intimate acoustic versions of "Dancing Nancies" and "The Song That Jane Likes." The remastered album and bonus tracks will also be released on CD in a softpak.

Under The Table And Dreaming with this fantastic vinyl!
One of Dave Matthews Band's best albums, this vinyl remaster of Under The Table And Dreaming sounds great. Wanted to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of this album by getting it on vinyl and it does not disappoint. Sounds better than the CD in my humble opinion. I love it.

This is my second favorite dave album, next to crash. They're both amazing on vinyl and they both sound absolutely killer. Some of the most pristine mixing and mastering, these absolutely POP on a good setup. Like I can't stress that enough. No other record in my collection sounds as good as dave on vinyl, my dave records just sing like no other. I do have a pretty decent setup $1200 or so for turntable and receiver, and then around another $1500 in speakers and its honestly an experience I make all my friends sit through.

I dont really write reviews about albums espically "older" ones but man this has got to be one of the best albums of all time.

Best of whats around: This song (for me atleast) just reminds me of freedom and just all the greatness in the world.
What would you say: This radio hit i remember hearing when i was little. Unique song that is defenitly catchy.
Satellite: Another radio hit, such a beatiful song that reminds you to enjoy the world around you and nature
Rhyme and reason: Although this is my least favorite song on the album its still an excellent jam
Typical Situation: Wow! Such a beautiful song.. goes from so low to so joyful and reminds you to not dwell on things.
Dancing Nancies: Another amazing song... If you get the chance listen to the central park version of this song.
Ants marching: Self said... who doesnt know/love this radio hit.
Jimi thing: Well.... i named my fricken boat "Jimi thing"... so yeah its a good song lol. Great song to "hang" out to ;)
Warehouse: This song is so complex and smart and amazing live. great song. one of my favs
pay for what u get: beatiful slow song. Great jam
    #34: The groo grux king....

    Really enjoying the cd.

this album is such a great 90s album I have to give it at least 4 starts. Dave Matthews kind of gets on my nerves, his voice is weird and he tries WAY TOO HARD (ever watch him play the guitar and think "wow look at how much his hand is moving and bending into weird positions" only to realize he's hardly playing anything? me too).
However, I think this album is one of those that helped define a decade and retrospectively I love it.

I played in a band that opened for him right before this recorded dropped. I guess he got the last laugh!
