About the author

The third of four children and an introvert from the start, Jason Tesar grew up as an imaginative “middle child” who enjoyed the make-believe world as much as the real one, possibly more. From adolescence to adulthood, his imagination fed itself on a diet of books, movies, and art, all the while growing and maturing—waiting for its opportunity.
In late 1998, Jason made his first attempt at writing, managing to complete a whole scene before returning once again to reality. A year and a half later, a spontaneous nighttime conversation with his wife encouraged him to take his writing seriously and to keep on dreaming. Over the next seven years, Jason carved time out of the real world to live in an imaginary one of epic fantasy and science-fiction. The fruits of this labor would later become the first three books of the Amazon bestselling AWAKENED series.
Due to the incredible support of readers from around the world, Jason continued his trajectory into make-believe, jumping from stable employment in the microelectronics industry into the mysterious abyss of full-time writing. Living in Colorado with his beautiful wife and two children, he fused the best parts of his favorite genres into stories of internal struggle and triumph, friendship and betrayal, political alliances, and military conflict.
Eleven novels and one short story later, Jason’s imagination is just getting started. But the challenges and responsibilities of the real-world are gaining strength, trying to pull him back.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 30, 2016Just finished the 5th book, so this is really a review for the whole series. I continue to be impressed with Jason Tesar and look forward to reading his future works. This story was unique and imaginative, and he is the only one who could have told it the way he did. I read the series in 5 days. I tried to make it last longer but I often couldn't stop reading. The detail of the story, particularly in the characters' thoughts and how that enhances the tangibility of the plot - makes it very enjoyable to read, and easy to get "sucked in" to the story. Often, I could sense a twist was coming, but it would turn out to be a much different twist than I anticipated. I truly felt like I was kept on my toes from start to finish. I recommend this series, and Jason Tesar, to anyone who would enjoy suspense mixed with combat story telling and a little bit if sci fi fantasy.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 25, 2016The hardest part about reading this series is how fast you fly through the pages! It is hard to put the book down once you've begun to read it. I recommend this book for anyone who is already familiar with the work of Jason Tesar. This series will not disappoint!
- Reviewed in the United States on July 9, 2016Great continuation of the story
- Reviewed in the United States on July 22, 2016I was so disappointed when Jason Tesar's Consensus: Part 3 came out and I didn't have time to immediately read it. Then, once I finally got time to sit down, open it up and read through it, I had to wait to post a review because Part 4 had been released and I couldn't stop. I read straight through parts 3 and 4 finding it impossible to put down. This, part 3 of the Consensus series was absolutely riveting making my heart race at times and further developing Rena and Dal along with meeting some great new characters. While reading this book I really feel as if I'm part of the Outlier's struggles while also feeling sympathetic to the citizens of Esh. If you've enjoyed the first 2 in this series you NEED to pick this one up. If you haven't read the first 2 then I'd suggest getting those and diving into this fascinating world.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 8, 2016I continue to be a hugh fan of Jason Tesar. Finished Consenus: Part 3 - Outlier and have just downloaded Part 4. Always enjoyable and great read.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 3, 2016Everyone of these books in this series is mind boggling. When a man escapes the environment he always thought was the truth, he meets others who realize that life as they knew it, isn't what they thought. They also realize that THEY are also not what or who they thought they were. When they escape the dome and end up in the barrens, the truth is revealed and it is dark, dangerous and deadly. A must read for those who love their computers. But is a world run by computers really safe?
- Reviewed in the United States on July 13, 2016The journey to discovering truth is difficult, as Rena is discovering. She leaves everything she knows behind to continue her quest to understand who she is and what her dreams, or delusions, mean.
This episode left me wanting to read more. I am truly excited to read the rest of this series. Jason Tesar's perception of a society that is governed by consensus is intriguing. It's not often I find a story that causes me to reflect on society as it is and the possibilities that are on the fringes of reality. I definitely want my own children to read this.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best one of the series so far
The pieces are on the board. Each player's strategy is beginning to unfold. The opponents are as formidable as they are deceptive. Lukas and Rena are starting to suspect there might be more at play than they could have ever imagined. And all the while, we are given enough explosive Intel to blow up the very foundations of Esh.

5.0 out of 5 stars Loving this series
As Rena starts to gain knowledge and understanding there are still many unanswered questions. I am loving this series and can't wait for Part 4!
