His Cactus Flower (The May Flowers Series) Kindle Edition
Not too long ago, I was known as the bad boy of golf -- famous for my exploits on and off the green. But with my career on the line, I've been working hard to repair my reputation ... until I cross paths with Dixie Bell. After one night with Hollywood's "It" girl, she’s got me thinking about more than just sinking my next putt. I should stay far away, but beneath her prickly exterior is a kindred spirit. Could Dixie be my hole-in-one?
Dixie
I've got a bad reputation, but most of what the tabloids say about me are lies. Which is why hooking up with a reformed bad boy like Gardener Campos is the last thing I need. But with his hard, lean body and Latin good-looks, how can I stay away? Especially when it turns out he might just be the man I've always needed.

About the authors
Rebecca Gallo was first indoctrinated into the romance genre by her babysitter who watched hours upon hours of daytime soap operas. She harbored many inappropriate crushes on fictional characters such as John Black from “Days of Our Lives,” Orry Main from the mini-series “North & South,” and Edward Fairfax Rochester from Jane Eyre. She is still in love with Davy Jones from The Monkees.
Rebecca currently lives in the Southwest with her family and a tuxedo cat with a limp. When she isn’t swooning over book boyfriends or dreaming up romances, she can be found educating the youth of America. Or eating tacos

- Reviewed in the United States on May 23, 2019I think it is very difficult to write a short novella and do it well, with character development and a plot that are cohesive and believable.
This is executed very well! I was surprised this was a first novel. Congrats and kudos.
I liked the misunderstood bad girl and bad boy, the ugly side of celebrity, and redemption and love for both characters. It’s alluded to that the hero is a manwh*re but his character didn’t really come across that way.
But at any rate, there is a lot to like in this short story and not much to dislike.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 26, 2020Dixie went from Hollywood sweetheart to Hollywood bad girl but nobody wants to see her side of the story. She meets Gardener at a resort while he is playing a PGA tournament and sparks fly but it is that they are two kindred souls that make them work in this sweet tale.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 21, 2019What a great quick read from Rebecca Gallo. I am loving these short novellas from The Flirt Club, they bring the heat and the story in a read that can be finished during lunchtime. His Cactus Flower definitely brings the heat and all the sexiness from a Hollywood It girl and a golfing bad boy. I loved that Gardener was a golfer, something different for a sports romance.

...
It was really good. I liked the characters (even though I thought that the name Gardener was a nickname, but it wasn't) and I liked the story.
I just wish 2 things were different. First, She should've kicked the cheating boyfriend and not his mistress, because he was in a relationship and not the woman. And, secondly, when they (main characters) first slept together, it seemed out of nowhere. I didn't feel strong attraction or chemistry between them.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 2, 2020This was a fast paced, fun read. Gardener and Dixie and on the outs of fame as they're considered the Bad Boy and Bad Girl of society. Was starts as a night of passion may just turn into a lifelong life changing event.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 25, 2019Dixie is known as Hollywood's bad girl even though she really isn't. When everything goes to crap she gets sent away for a break and ends up running into golf bad boy Gardener. At first he couldn't stand Dixie but soon he saw that she was as misunderstood as he was. Sparks fly between them and soon they were giving into temptation. When scandal broke out Dixie was sure Gardener would leave her like everyone else had but he stuck beside her through everything. Could they show everyone that they weren't the bad couple they were painted to be?
This is an amazing story once I started it I couldn't put it down. The chemistry between them was off the charts hot. This is a well written and very entertaining story. I would recommend this book to any book lover.

- Reviewed in the United States on February 5, 2022Gardener and Dixie have reputations to restore from poor choices and bad relationships. This time around two wrongs do make a right.
- Reviewed in the United States on May 22, 2019i read this book as part of an arc program. This is story in the May Flowers series written by various authors known as the Flirt Club. Dixie is known as Hollywood's bad girl after she lashed out when she found out her boyfriend cheated on her and his new girlfriend was going to have a baby. Dixie needed to go to Arizona to rehab in order to save her image. There she met Gardener, a professional golf player. Gardener was playing in a tournament after recovering from back surgery. Gardener had his own issues with substance abuse and when he met Dixie, he understood what she was going through. The two had a connection and were very attracted to each other. When photos of them were leaked on the internet, Gardener set out to protect Dixie. I really liked this story. I think Gardener understood Dixie and her pain. He helped her move on and realize she was worth loving. Good one.
