GREENWICH VILLAGE, NY — David Bowie branded MetroCards are now available at two Manhattan subway stations, featuring images of Bowie from the Brooklyn Museum's new exhibit about the icon, the MTA said.
Commuters can get the Bowie MetroCards, which feature five different images from the museum's Bowie exhibit, at the Broadway-Lafayette and Bleecker Street stations in Manhattan. There are 250,000 Bowie MetroCards available, the MTA said. The cards were created by the music streaming service Spotify.
Unfortunately for Bowie superfans, there's no guarantee of getting one of the special subway swipers: The Bowie MetroCards will be dispensed randomly at both stations' MetroCard vending machines.
Please note, the 5 designs will be dispensed randomly at station booths and MetroCard Vending Machines. We will be sure to let you know when they run out. pic.twitter.com/9jwqJxtVXe

The exhibit, "David Bowie Is," will remain open at the Brooklyn Museum through July 15. Tickets to the exhibit for true superfans can cost you up to $2,500, which covers a private tour of the exhibit plus Bowie merchandise, parking passes and more.
