    I thoroughly enjoyed 'Bounty'. Diane, a tough detective working in a hostile work environment is unnerved by an unsettling murder scene. She vows to discover the victim's identity.
    In her search, she enounters Zac, a brilliant, mysterious coroner. Together they search for pieces of the missing puzzle.
    Ms. Eckhart tackles a controversial subject -polygamy with sensitivity and intelligence. This intense story line is carfully crafted and created a plot line that was a page turner.
    Diane's childhood horrors have haunted her forever and Zac's experiences in Iraq have transformed him. She is scarred on the inside and Zac has scars that all the world can see.
    I was drawn into their world and cared for both of these characters. At the end of the book, there are enough unanswered questions that the reader is ready and anxious for the next book.
    Congratulations to the author for a great read!

    What a fantastic writer this author is. With this series I just cannot put the books down. Each one is as brilliant as the next. Has Diane got an admirer? It is a true testament to her courage what she has to go through in this story. Back to her roots which she has never disclosed to anyone. Until now. Who is the handsome Zac who takes Diane's breath away? And he appears to feel the same way about her. He is with her every step of the way as she faces her past.

    This is truly an epic series. This one book had me enthralled till the end I can't wait for the final book to come out. This series (And I hate series type books, I like completion in a book or two) has me in awe. I have read many books by this author the only reason I do is cause she has me hooked from the beginning to the bitter end. Ok sometimes they end great.

    Although this is the third book of the series, it could be read as a stand alone. A good read, but it did not hook me in. Too many things resolved to quickly and easily. I was going to say the hero was too shallow, then it occurred to me that he probably was not, and my opinion was formed merely on the fact we never read anything from his point of view.....only from that of the heroine. And therein lies my gripe!

    This is Diane’s story. As she is forced to confront the ghosts of her past, Zac comes into her life. Scarred with demons of his own, he’s willing to stand up for Diane and, if needed, stand in front of her to keep her safe. It’s a story filled with emotional twists, gripping drama, and a surprise turn or two that will keep you turning pages from start to finish. Zac’s character is a strong addition to this ensemble, being the perfect counterpoint to Diane’s character.

    Like the previous stories, Diane’s storyline is compelling as she struggles, with Zac’s help, to stand up against the fears and anxieties from her childhood. Be prepared, although some questions will be answered, there will be more yet to be. The tale isn’t over yet, but hang in there, there’s a finale where I have faith all will be resolved.

    I can't believe it ended the way it did. The story was great as with all the books I have read. I certainly hope there is another coming in this series. I have to know what happens with Marcie, Sam, and Dan. I can't believe he came back at the end.I love this author and am looking forward to more books from her.
