- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 15 May 2018Mark is an amazing author, keeping you on the edge of your seat with your heart in hour throat a great deal of the time. This is the second book in the series and you do need to read the first to understand the story but it is well worth getting! I have read this in 2 hours as am a fast reader and am likely to read both of them again in the very near future. Do not want to wait for the next episode but suppose I’ll have to lol!!

5.0 out of 5 stars Another wild ride from Mark Gillespie!
The second in The Exterminators trilogy, and it far surpassed my expectations. A wild ride, full of ups and downs, and more ups and downs, some double crossing, a bloody body count, and an unforgettable plot twist that will send you back to reexamine everything you read in the first book, and in this one.
Gillespie is the expert in drawing you to the precipice of success, only to have the hero thwarted at the last minute, only to set you up again. His words are a rollercoaster of emotions, fist pumping excitement and crushing defeat.
An apocalyptic story, with an eclectic cast of battered survivors. The author's portrayal of bare human emotions, even when faced with the annihilation of the human race, seems pretty much perfect. Humans do bad things to each other, even without staring down the end of the world, and that makes this book all the more real.
Loved it. Can't wait to read the final instalment of the trilogy.

5.0 out of 5 stars Get it. Read it. Good.
What a great story! I wonder what's going on. How many humans are left. Is Rachel magical or is love the key. Can't wait to find out.

4.0 out of 5 stars Continuing the Apocalyptic sorry
The story continues, but so too did the editing misses. Certainly a handful of shall errors through the book, nothing too drastic.
The story continues at a steady pace, friends are stronger than a loose collection of power hungry people. Sir cars are still operational, most have been destroyed. Rachel is dealing with death and torture better than the adults. A new world is coming.

5.0 out of 5 stars A thrill ride from start to finish
Picking up where the first story ended this book throws you into the chaos of a world under attack. Cody battles new enemies trying to save his daughter. You also begin to get a picture of those behind the Black Storm and the Black Fever. Looking forward to the final chapter.
