Alex and Ivy have never met and are working two delegate cases dear to their hearts but the two cases merge and they meet in one heck of a setting where Alex swoops in to save the day.

This story has it all. There is an epic love scene which I had been hoping for during several books now and man did this story deliver at the end. The heartbreak and actions that Alex take show the true depth of a mother’s love while the actions done to Angel and Becca show some of the worst betrayals done to a child. Director Holt has a more visible role and it is the first time I really liked his character.

This is the most non stop and interwoven story so far in this series because it answers a lot of questions and ties in all of the characters from all of the books. The ending was picture perfect and the cliffhanger has me excited for the next adventure.

I Knew Liv or Olivia was Nicole, I knew when she was introduced back at the bar fight. So, a really good thriller getting rid of bad people, and love finding it's way back and being safe. A lot of action and shows not only the bad people, but how children suffer from addicted parents. A good book for all thriller readers.

Just when you think that humans can't get any more depraved, they do something to prove that they are. This was an intense, emotional, and complex story that you won't want to miss.
I would definitely recommend this book, series, and outstanding author.

The suspense was immediate and intense in this latest story in the ongoing saga of Alex Troutt. Although this is an Alex Troutt story, the point of view alternates between Alex's first person perspective and Ivy Nash's first person account (although Alex has a bigger role). Both Alex and Ivy end up in Las Vegas, Alex due to her daughter's kidnapping and Ivy because of an Amber Alert. They actually meet for the first time. Anyone who has followed the series will definitely want to continue with this latest story. If you're not a follower, you need to get started! The tension is palpable throughout the book. While the primary crimes are solved, we're still left with some very important unanswered questions, which gives Mr. Mefford a jumping off point for the next story. I can't wait!

Book seems to duplicate 200 pages of "At Last". Sure speeded up the reading. Alex Trout again triumphs. Compassionate, capable and fearless. Good read.

Pedestrian. That sums up every aspect of this book ... there’s nothing especially bad about it but there is certainly nothing that deserves special mention. If you like “average,” this is your kind of reading.

The Redemption Thriller Series written by John Mefford has done nothing but get better with each book. Back At You which was just released has so many unexpected twists and turns you won’t be able to put it down. The excitement just continues to build until you feel like your heart will explode. The ending knocked me out of my chair and it will you too. Mefford has combined three separate thrillers gradually into this amazing almost finished one. I believe there is only one more and I really can’t wait to see what happens to the cast of characters. They are like old friends now and I don’t want this series to end. Mefford is sure to be the next James Patterson or Michael Connolly. His books are amazing. Don’t miss this great series. Start it today!

I'm pretty sure my heart stopped a couple of times while reading this book. I distinctly recall lounging in my chair, only to bolt upright when Alex or Ivy or both of them was/were in imminent danger. I wanted to scream at them, stop them, be an armchair analyst with their next play! It takes more than an army of drug dealers, human traffickers, gangsters and all-around thugs to keep AT down. She will stop at nothing to make sure the good guys win and the bad guys pay for their deeds - dead or alive - it doesn't matter much to her. Excellent read, but don't buy this book unless you're ready for some true suspense. A true thriller with twists and turns that will keep you up at night, turning the pages, with your night light on!

You are going to want to hug your kidlets a little tighter after you read this one! Alex has been blindsided by the drug world and forced to be a mule for them. With her daughter being held captive until the goods are delivered, Alex has to fight her way back with the package and then fight to find her daughter. Don’t start this book if you don’t have time to read it in one sitting. There is no putting this one down, it is “captivating!

5.0 out of 5 stars Back AT You
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 11, 2018
We are nearing the end of this series and Back AT You will have you on the edge of your seat from the get go, I literally read this in a few hours and now I am twiddling my thumbs patiently waiting on the next book.

Alex is once again pushed to her very limits, how this woman isn't broken I don't know, but I did think it was going to happen in this book. She received a call that no mother ever wants to get - do as we say or your daughter dies....!! Faced with having to go it alone in search of her daughter Alex becomes the raging bull she is as she tries to get to get to her daughter, this is really the test of Alex's endurance and everything she has to endure.

Meanwhile Ivy gets a call about a missing girl and crosses paths with Alex, together they find out some unspeakable things a mother did in order to pay off a drug debt, whilst connecting the dots of how the two woman "case's" are connected.

Seriously, this is a brilliant series and I really don't want to it to end, Mefford has created characters that you really connect with and story lines that suck you in.

You better put all thoughts of summer activities out of your mind. You’ll be wanting to follow Alex, or should I say Momenstein, through this peripatetic adventure. Don’t be surprised if you catch a « summer cold » that keeps you at home with this book. A nail biter without any hint of rest for our feisty FBI protagonist.

5.0 out of 5 stars "This was Vegas...no rules, apparently."
Reviewed in the United Kingdom on July 12, 2018
I am an admitted fan of John Mefford's writings, and the Alex Trout stories within the Redemption series in particular. But Back at You surpasses the others, and both Ivy and Ozzie play their parts in it, too. With a pleasing addition at the conclusion.
After the destruction of their home in a preceding story, FBI agents Alex and Brad were househunting when the phone call is received - kidnappers have her teenage daughter, Erin, and two million dollars is demanded for her return. A simultaneous call to the parents of Erin's friend, Becca, confirm that she has been taken as well. The girls had been together on a fun trip to Las Vegas.
The hunt is on to get them back, and alive.

With his usual story telling skill, visual with minimal description, and excellent characterisation, Mr.Mefford unfolds an intriguing and past paced thriller, full of familiar players, family closeness and, yes, even humour. Possibly the best in the series so far: unmissable
