This is black vinyl!
The album is awesome, but i can only give 3 stars because of the vinyl just black instead of color vinyl as describe in the product detail. Already contact Amazon and they give me a refund but i am not sure want to re order again or not.

    This 1976 release from Black Sabbath is actually quite good. In fact it is really good and it irritates me that I waited this long before I picked it up. Then again, it is not all my fault - everybody told me to "steer clear of this" or "don't buy it". Well I bought it and I rank it very highly- it is an accomplished album and demonstrates an increase in the sophistication of their songwriting and arranging skills.

    The tracks range from the traditional thunderous Black Sabbath "sound" (Back Street Kids) to softer, atmospheric tracks that feature a string section (the beautiful and haunting She's Gone). Greater emphasis is placed on melodies, and believe me, these guys are great at melodies. Speaking of which, although a big fan of Ozzy, I have to say that drummer Bill Ward does a great job with the lead vocal on the ballad Its Allright - there is an innocence and naiveté to his voice that suits the cheery melody of the tune perfectly.

    Tony's playing on this album, whether on the electric or the acoustic, is some of finest that I have heard from him. Come to think of, the group ensemble playing was also bumped up a notch - Dirty Women is a good example of this. I also like the use of different tone colors - synthesizers and organ are used effectively. Whether all of this reflects the influence of progressive rock or not is unclear - what is clear is that the progressive influences were a source of great friction within the band. The only track that did not sit well with me was Rock n' Roll Doctor - it sounds just like the generic arena/hard rock that was ubiquitous in 1976.

    The sound quality of this re-issued CD is not bad, although I think the 1996 Castle release sounds a little better (note = audiophiles do not like the Castle release and I am not an audiophile). The production quality is excellent - the guys really outdid themselves. The CD liner notes feature the lyrics to all of the tunes, along with the recording credits, and a little blurb on the album and band. The album cover art was done by Hipgnosis (they did the covers for Pink Floyd/late 70s Genesis/Yes etc.) - it is not a bad cover.

    All in all, this is a very good Black Sabbath album that has, in my opinion, been unfairly criticized. Although there are one or two things on the album that could have been arranged a little better, or certain approaches avoided (like the boogie on Rock n Roll Doctor), I found this be a very enjoyable listening experience. Then again, I also like progressive rock so I may be a little more forgiving.

    I have always been of the opinion that the guys in Black Sabbath were excellent musicians that were far more creative than anybody gave them credit for. I cannot, and will not fault them for this.

    This is the 7th album from classic Sabbath lineup. I was a fan of Sabbath cuz my dad had all the cassettes. This album I seemed to have enjoyed,but I just spun it again,& it took the listening to all of em in order for me to really appreciate it,at 26
    Anyway this is the 40th year reissue review I'm reviewing
    It's a cardboard cover like a mini vinyl fold,with the paper insert with cover art on the slip
    To the songs,Back Street Kids starts it out fast.its got a nice groovy bass line and Ozzy sounds great as always.
    The so g You Won't Change Me is a personal favorite track on the album, it's dark and brooding and somber
    It's Alright is a real upstyle song almost like an ode to the LSD culture. That's sung so well by Bill Ward,I think it's 1 of their most beautiful songs. Gypsy has some really solid guitar and bass and Ozzy really has some great vox on this song. I really dig Gypsy
    All Moving Parts has a solid groove and is 1 of the weaker songs on the album but good nonetheless
    Rock & Roll Dr. Is a really fast tempo track with great guitar hooks and some great precussion on the track.
    She's Gone is another dad and depressing song.i think it's about the divorce some of the members were going through at the time. Another 1 of the highlights of the album. The album closes with Dirty Woman which starts off slow and doom then picks up with a killer drum blast and then the bass and guitar pick up and Ozzy vocals just shine here.
    Incredible vocal performance. I dig the album as a whole.i think I overlooked it as a kid but now that I'm older I appreciate every album they made because they're all unique and individual.
    This is a must have in my opinion.
    Right up there with Master,Vol.4 & Sabotage

    High quality 180 gram pressing of the highly underrated Tech Ec album. Sounds great and includes the amazing tracks “All Moving Parts (Stand Still)”, “Rock and Roll Doctor”, “Back Street Kids”, “Gypsy” and the beautiful ballad “It’s Alright” sung by Bill Ward. Even includes the original slip sleeve with the poorly printed lyrics (what were they thinking?). All in all a fantastic purchase. This replaced a worn out copy I bought used.

E tem também uma música surpresa que é um balada cantada pelo Baterista Bill Ward, que recebeu total apoio do vocalista Ozzy para fazer esta empreitada.
    A capa nunca havia entendido e é mais uma daquelas artes realizadas pela Hipgnosis, onde é explicado que se trata de dois Robôs que se cruzam numa escada rolante e trocando fluidos.
    Não é a obra prima do Sabbath, mas também não se trata de uma porcaria, principalmente quando temos como referência o que vem sendo produzido após mais de 45 anos do lançamento deste álbum.
