OMG...Vi's love story is EPIC!! From the first chapter I was turning pages like a woman on a mission to find out more about one of my favorite Bayside characters, Violet Vancroft. Vi is the no-filter badass of the Bayside crew, working her charms to help her sister and friends find love, but never allowing herself to find the happiness she lost two years ago. I loved getting to see beneath the layers of Vi, and there are MANY, and I simply ADORED her hero, Andre Shaw. He was everything she needed and all the things she didn't think she needed and EVERYTHING she deserved in a man. He was incredible. Foster always amazes me with her ability to take characters that have been hurt, or kicked down by life, and have them crawling back with determination. She never gives up on them, and I will NEVER give up on her as an author. Buy it, love it, devour it, read it again and then go back to the beginning and re-read the series again! I cannot wait for Gavin and Harper's story and I AM DYYYYYIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGG for Justin's story! Give me, give me that Wicked man!

    I started the Bayside series to get to Violet’s book and I’m so glad I did!! Violet and Andre’s story was epic and so amazing!
    Violet has intrigued me since I first heard about her in A Little Bit Wicked, I know I have read out of order. She seemed like such a complex character, but I didn’t even know the half of it! The more I learned about what life was like for Violet growing up with Lizza, the more my heart went out to her. But Lizza not only cheated her out of having loving parents, she also gave her experiences she would have never had otherwise. And put her in the path of her one true love!
    Andre is simply fantastic!! He is rivaling Drake for the most compassionate, supportive man!! He is literally the definition of soulmate! He is passionate about medicine, children, his art and Violet. Even though Violet up and left him after he proposed to her without a word, he still lives her deeply.
    Andre brought out the best in Violet, but she did the same for him. She was the influence behind him becoming a traveling doctor and opening up clinics in needed areas around the world. They were just a perfect match in every way!! And it was wonderful to see Andre bring out the softer side of Violet.
    I absolutely LOVED this book!!! I highly recommend it to everyone, as well as the whole series!

    If you have been waiting for Violet's story and chance at happy your wait is over! Since I read the first book in this series and we all met Violet, Desire's sister I have wondered about her. What makes her tick? Is she has tough as she comes off? You will love hearing more about her, and her life before she showed up in Bayside. I love the writing in all Melissa Foster's book, you feel like you are in the story. Characters are developed and deep and are likeable. After reading Vi and Andre's story I love her even more than I did in the previous books. She is so strong and independent but she needs people and love and affection more than she let's on.I love how Melissa Foster focused somewhat on impressions from a child turn into adult feelings. Some legit some just from a child perspective. She did a great job portraying that in the story. Andre is ridiculously hot and you will love him for Vi. We also meet a few new characters that I am look forward to getting to know in the future! This was a great story and very real and a bit raw. I loved reading it. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.

    I've been looking forward to Violet's book for a while, which is interesting because Violet kind of annoyed me in the previous books. I'm usually interested in seeing books written from the perspective of characters that annoy me. I always hope that there's some underlining reason for their behavior and that they acknowledge their actions in the previous books.

    Well, I certainly became a fan of Violet. She has a vulnerable side to her, which was great to see. She went through a rough childhood, which she still has a lot of issues from in the present day. (And I really wanted to smack her mother, lol) And despite how snarky she is with her sister, she deeply values their relationship and wants to stay close with her.

    I also loved her relationship with Andre. I loved how all in he was and how he just took Violet as she was and didn't try to change her. And I like that despite their differences, they were able to find a happy median.

    Despite this being the fourth book in the Bayside Summers series, this book can definitely be read as a standalone. I say that mainly because there is a link to a character list provided in the book, which helps keep track of all of the supporting characters. However, Melissa Foster does such a good job of identifying the characters in the book that I only needed to check the list twice while reading.

    All in all, a great book.

    If you like 2nd chance love stories.....look no further. This is one of Melissa Foster's best stories. She uses humor, nosy friends, heart tugs, and love as she tells Violet & Andre's story. I was hooked from page one. These two meet up after about 2 years of separation at Violet's sister's wedding by the way of their mother, Lizza. We finally learn what makes Violet tick. What her back story is. Melissa helps us put the puzzle of Violet together one word, one sentence, one paragraph, one page, one chapter at a time. And, as the pieces start coming together, you start seeing why Violet is the way she is now. We get to see who she is through Andre's eyes, her sister's eyes, her friend's eyes.....each one a different piece. And, as we start putting these pieces together, we realize that Violet has many layers, that Andre takes great pleasure in revealing. Like another reader mentions, this is a great quote from this story: “I finally know the true meaning of home. It isn’t about whether I spent my childhood there or how many years I’ve lived somewhere. It’s a feeling of safety and unconditional love, and as long as you’re by my side, I’m always home.” That is what Violet has been seeking her whole life: unconditional love and the feeling of home, something she didn't feel she had until Andre entered her life. It was such a joy to watch Violet blossom under Andre's love in this story. And, I enjoyed getting updates from former characters and being introduced to new ones that we'll get to know more about in future stories. I am looking forward to the next story......the next adventure that Melissa has lined up for us!!!
