- Reviewed in the United States on January 12, 2016I always enjoy a book with developed characters no matter how long it is. The synopsis alludes to a great story and that is what you get. Elizabeth and Kent are very interested in each other but neither is looking for a spouse as it begins. As their relationship heats up, they hesitantly want more and more. This is how I love for my romance books to proceed. The ending implies a long term romance which I will expect to see in the next romance due out in a couple weeks. This is a delightful short and very sexy Christmas romance that is just perfect for any time of year. You will be thrilled to read this any time you can carve out some time for romance moments. Merry Christmas!
- Reviewed in the United States on November 29, 2016I received a free copy of this book and voluntarily chose to review. The book was well written with good descriptions and dialogue. I'll say up front that this level of sex in a book makes me uneasy. I don't know why, but it does. For that personal reason alone, I gave it a four stars. If this doesn't make you uneasy, then take it as a five star for yourself. The story line has a bit of a twist to it and helps make it a good read. Tawdra
Kandle writes well and this is a different take than most romances. So, enjoy!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 16, 2016I really enjoyed this quick Christmas story. Starting out with Elizabeth wanting to ignore Christmas made me wonder how festive I would feel reading this. But it changes quickly when the parking lot of her office building is turned into a Christmas tree lot. When Elizabeth met Trent, who runs the lot, it wasn't under the best circumstances. But there was an instant attraction between this pair.
This is a well written story that gives lots of information in so few pages. What a cute story with Elizabeth wanting to break her sex-fast with Trent but he's on a sex-fast - so friends it is for this couple.
If you are looking for a quick Christmas romance, I recommend this one.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 3, 2017Trent works for his uncle, selling Christmas trees. Elizabeth is a lawyer who is trying to ignore Christmas, and not too happy about the trees being set up by her work. The couple meets, spark a friendship that, eventually, leads to more.
As with all Tawdra's stories, this can be read as a standalone. But if you want more of the story, many of her books tie together. This one happens in Crystal Cove, FL and there's a series about residents of that town. Trent is from Burton, Ga, and there's another series for that town. Trent and Elizabeth's story continues in Burton, in "Always My Own."
- Reviewed in the United States on October 14, 2017Underneath My Christmas Tree by Tawdra Kandle is a fairly short holiday read, perfect for those with limited time for reading. Ms Kandle has delivered a well-written book. The characters are sweet and lovable. Elizabeth is a lawyer and not a fan of Christmas. Trent is selling Christmas trees from the parking lot of her law office to help his uncle. Their story is a holiday romance with bits of drama, humor and sizzle. I enjoyed this story but I think I would have enjoyed it more if it wasn't written in first person. This is a complete story, not a cliff-hanger.
I voluntarily read a free copy of this book that I received from Instafreebie.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 13, 2020In the epilogue of “The Always One” we got a taste of what was to come with Trent. We’d met him previously in earlier stories and probably didn’t have too high an opinion of him, but now we get to see the man he is trying to become. We’re back in Crystal Cove for a brief visit while Trent is helping his uncle sell their Christmas holiday season trees. This delightful tale introduces us to the “new” Trent when he meets Elizabeth. She’s a bold and sassy lawyer with a side of snark that you’ll instantly appreciate. It’s a charming and clever beginning to what I know will be a wonderful love story. And now that we are seeing Trent in a new light, I can’t wait to find out what’s in store for this unique couple.
- Reviewed in the United States on June 14, 2016Trent and Elizabeth both have different memories of Christmas times growing up. Trent is helping sell Christmas trees for his uncle. It so happens to be in the lot where Elizabeth works. They become friends but are also at different places in their lives. They have their ups and downs but the end up with Christmas plans. Love this cute story.

Tawdra does it again! I love all of her series that I have read and can’t wait to read more of Trent and Elizabeth. I love a story where they start off as friends. Neither looking for anything serious. I like that Elizabeth is a strong and sassy woman that gives as good as she gets. Trent is the more cautious and adorable one. Look forward to reading more of their story. A wonderful quick read.

Trent and Elizabeth...chance brought them together. A start to a great friendship. Will it turn into more despite Trent wanting to stay away from women....
