Take Me Home (A Hot and Dangerous Bodyguard Christmas Story) Kindle Edition
I hate Tanner except when he gets too close and then everything goes haywire a little, like the time he tracked me down in a remote Canadian motel with the snow falling outside and the heat rising inside. He tried to drag me back home for the holidays on this mega road trip, but things got weird and kinda strangely awesome, but that can’t happen because my father will literally kill us both.
It’s that kind of Christmas story.

- Reviewed in the United States on December 23, 2023Tris was always kept "safe" but guarded at home and felt alone. This year she decided to make a break for it and live a new life for herself. Tanner was always there to take her back to her dad, but apparently he had feelings hiding below the loyalty and sacrifices he made.

- Reviewed in the United States on March 30, 2019"Take Me Home" is a super short story. It seemed more like a couple chapters out of a novel.
Tris snuck out & ran away to get out from under her controlling Father's influence. Tanner is his right hand man & the body guard that always chases Tris down.
At the end the author states that the two main characters received so much love that their story expanded into a standalone novel "Bodyguard Dearest".
Which makes sense but I don't think I will be purchasing that book for $3.99.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 20, 2016I see I'm in the minority on this one. I was looking for a quick read and while the story's premise caught my attention, it couldn't hold it. The heroine, Trista, is written as rebellious, but she come of as an immature brat. The constant back and forth with Tanner was juvenile, at best. No witty banter here and zero chemistry between the two. The ending was ridiculous.

4.0 out of 5 stars Turn up the heat
I received an ARC copy of Take Me Home for an honest review.
I loved the dynamics of the main characters, the back and forth banter mixed into the love/hate relationship they have.
Circumstance and emotions can be a volatile combination of mixed in just the right way.
Take Me Home is a prime example of the perfect mix.

This was a quick read that helped make a wet afternoon enjoyable. I think I would enjoy reading their full story.

1.0 out of 5 stars Hmmmmm....
I'm not really getting the raving reviews here because what I read was a spoiled little, childish rich girl wanting freedom against her over protective, gangster father and her bodyguard on her tail. A few days before Christmas she selfishly takes off again, and again the hot bodyguard picks her up. Very, very short, no character or chemistry...pointless really. Found it free but basically wasted half an hour.
